In Ashes of Creation, the taverns have a lot of uses some you wouldn't even believe would be in a tavern and it makes them a very interesting system which I can't wait to see in Alpha 2.
In this video, I'll be covering what are Taverns? What can you do with them? What are the Parlour games and what are the benefits of them? And how will Battle Map Rooms affect gameplay and why they will change the way you siege in Ashes of Creation?
A reminder that Ashes of Creation is an open and transparent development project of an upcoming MMO. As such, you will see work-in-progress art, systems, and mechanics and some of the information may change as the development progresses and as the game is updated to Unreal Engine 5. My video contains footage from trailers and gameplay that Intrepid Studios have created.

This week ill be dipping into the Taverns system, and giving my opinions on it and how I think it will play out in-game, Would Love to hear what you guys think! will you have a tavern? Great video I’m glad they put the battle map feature in I’m more of a visual person so being able to see a picture while we talk about doing something I think will be very beneficial

Yeah it's still all in the works and much will change as we play the Alpha 2, when we see all these systems come into play though and more things added over the life of ashes it's going to be pretty crazy for sure. Cheers man

I'm really looking forward to trying out the taverns I plan on having myself one called 'Pepe's Palace' haha. Video was very informative always enjoy learning about new systems!

The Taverns are going to be crazy, and Pepe's palace will be even crazier 🤣 I hope I can create Pepe in game and have him patrol the freeholds haha. Try to get the quality up and bring something a little different to the ashes community, my own special style... special is the key word 🤣🤣

@@Azrial I can imagine it now Pepes palace with art pieces of Pepe all around, a statue to Pepe outside the door and some nice green shingles on the roof. Yes you do have a very special style to your videos. I don't think people know if your Scottish Irish or English 😂

Been following your Ashes content for a while and the quality keeps getting better. One video that i didn't enjoy as much was the second node one but it still was informative. Keep up the good work! Can't wait to see your alpha 2 footage i won't be playing myself. Might try and get in for beta 1 or 2 though.

Thanks mate appreciate it, Still newish to ashes but slowly improving on edits, ahh the second Node video haha I'm not a fan myself but due to it being part 2 I'll leave it there just for shame and consistency lol , but yeah the mic quality at the start was awfull 😭🤣 Appreciate the honesty, yeah I'll be getting loads of A2 footage you can be sure of that 👌 once we hit beta 1 and 2 we'll be basically at the finished product so you'll deffo have fun with it. Cheers man! Many more videos to come.

@@Azrial yeah I'm definitely hyped for it there's only a few games I plan on trying this year as I don't see the point into getting into anything too much as I like to play one game at a time and no life that one game! I think ashes will be that lifetime game for me definitely agree with your first ashes video title.

Cheers mate appreciate it , we'll just have to see how it plays out so much will change through the Alpha 2 I just hope we see a lot of this in the finished game 👌 I'm almost certain we will see some of the Tavern system in the A2 but how much of it I'm not 100% on.

I'm looking forward to seeing people's taverns in game see the difference on how they run them and who builds what in there's. Thought the title was clickbait at first but then after watching it realised it was true wouldn't of believed some of that haha.

Haha I'll never have any click bait unless it's backed with substance and good info and like I said you'll never believe 🤣 Real note though it's some crazy stuff they have planned and realy cool hopefully we see some of this in A2 be good to get involved and watch it all okay out.

There will be a shit load of RPG systems in place and I'm sure many more will be revealed in the future as well. hopefully, we get Alpha 2 drop this year and i can get some serious content pumping out of all this when we get hands-on with the game. cheers mate :)

Thanks mate! Appreciate it. Yeah the up side of making these videos is you get to realy jump into the info and learn quite a bit about them as you'll know yourself 👌 The Taverns and most of the Freehold stuff are quite ambitious but can't wait to check it all out in A2.

Well they can have music and certain play lists but I would not be shocked at all if they let you hire a NPC bard for music and walk around just playing, haha that would be class 👌 It's alright we'll make you the guild mascot you can go town to town playing songs for recruitment 🤣 Well!... Now you say that it actually it going the be a video on Guilds and specifically smaller size guilds 💯

Even if half of things make it to the end game it will still be the most intriguing and immersive tavern location I’ve ever seen in any game! It’s going to be fantastic! The only other tavern type system that I enjoyed the most was in a classic MMO called PuzzlePirates which had various different games and places to speak within its taverns! Great video dude! Really enjoyed it

I'm pretty sure we will see all these systems plus more over time it's how MMOs are they just keep growing, adding and balancing and tweaking stuff for the worse or better in ashes of creations case. really trying to find out info that folk are not talking about as much and the more I stalk Stevens's old clips the more info I keep seeing, He has big ideas for what he wants in aoc, I've have never heard of that game ill have a google of it. cheers mate appreciate it, taken some time to get these edits done but slow progress and learning curve just got to keep cracking on with it.

@@Azrial from having a look over some of them you’re improving with every video :). Enjoying the progression! Yeah PP was one of my favourite MMOs. So very basic from its gameplay and mechanics but really interesting in its politics and in game economy, loved playing it and nothing has really compared to its complexity outside of its general gameplay. It’s really old now and I think is still a Java game

@@r3vak216 ohh yeah much has changed since the tin can mic haha, wondershare is a ok editing software but I maybe change it down the line it's not worth the money for what you get, still need to sort my twitch out too much to do but cheers man! damn old school java game you know back in the day I loved Runescape I really don't think anything could compare to that in its era it was insane how ahead of its time it was for some of the stuff it did.

I think the PVP in the game will be really good, there are so many systems in the game to balance it out, and a variety of PVP content to get involved in. My plan is to explore that a little in the next video talking about smaller groups of players and smaller guilds ill be showcasing why you can do really well even if you're not a zerg. but I'm with you 100% cant wait for A2 to see how it all works.

I hope you can play twister as a parlour game also a heavy metal bard in the tavern 😂 I'm wondering if there is going to be special tavern quests depending on how well the node is doing or depending what race's owns the current node. I'm not the biggest fan of PvE but might try out the bounty system once or twice as it seems really interesting. Keep up the great work 😊

I think they'll be a fair mix of Tavern games on offer for everyone and as the years pass even crazier things will be added in haha..yeah mate even if your not that Into PVP you should still check it out can't hurt and if you don't like just don't do it again. Would not surprise me if you could have a NPC heavy metal Bard 🤣 Cheers mate appreciate it 💯👌

Yeah realy though, I think I've missed a bit off this to and the Freeholds but so hard to fit into one video without putting people to sleep, 100% and that's just what launch has planned if they get all this in and keep adding post launch its going to be crazy 👌 💯 Appreciate the comment, next video should hopefully be on guilds in ashes👍

This sounds awesome. Sounds like a really cool system to a new comer to this kind of game because if I'm honest these types of games do have a reputation for being full of sweaty groups who will grind for hours and hours and dominate any lobby they game in. Having a system like this doesn't just sound like it could balance the system but also sounds like it could add to the "role play" aspect of the game, which I didn't really think would be a thing. Really sounds like I could create a rough hero type character and then go from tavern to tavern trading and looking for county's to help out the local town. This sounds like a really cool mechanic but along with everything else this game seems to be offering would it not all be a bit too much and maybe overwhelming?

I imagine this game will probably have its own role played server, role play will be a huge thing on this game, there are role play guilds recruiting. And there's also going to be a bounty hunter system so you could make your hero character and go around killing all the corrupt players who have been killing the PvE players and the new starters. This is game thats going to last a long time like wow has so it may seem a lot when you first get into the game but over time these are systems you'll learn and eventually use. Even so you don't need to use all these systems your free to choose any path that's the good thing about the game. Cheers Gall always appreciate these comments 👌💯

PLEASE! PLEASE DON'T LET US NAME NPC'S! Don't let players name anything. Ever. The character names people come up with are unoriginal enough. 1. Why would you name a person unless it is your kid? Just let us hire them. 2. I don't want to talk to an innkeeper named Zack Myballs or Bigdick99 50% of the time I'm in a tavern.

My hype is due to the amount of research I have done into the game and by the work you can see the dev team putting into the game every stream and have been consistently for over 5 year. These games your comparing it to are worlds apart from stuff like finical state (no having to rely on investors or a big corporate overhead) , the development progress (transparent development that actively looks for feedback from the people who will be playing the game), the team (developers who also have experience playing these games.)

THE TAVERN AND MINIGAMES SYSTEMS are not something i would like ti play in a MMO,after all most MMO players enjoy dungeons,raids and quests in open world, tavern and minigames i dont think will have allot of succes after all,ESO is trying the card game and lost allot of players because of it, if they want to go for the minigames hub tipe of game they will not have allot of players because most MMO players dont like gambling systems and any mini game will be some form or shape of gambling.This is just my person opinion but i do think only the players that are bored with the questing,dungeons and raids will waste time in the tavern with minigames and if players get bored with the game fast enough that the devs think they need minigames i dont have high hopes for the game

People may not go to the taverns for the card mini-games, but I think they definitely will go for the food you can buy (for the buffs) and to rent a room every now and again to get the rested experience. You're probably more likely to get the rp members of the ashes of creation community going to the taverns for the games as they'll include it in their rp but yeah I agree the average player unless bored probably wouldn't be sitting for hours playing card games (unless there's a super cool achievement.) or a LOT of gold to be made, thanks for the comment mate :) much more ashes content coming.
