Those who complained about switching off the national grid when peoples lives depend on it should understand that Some peoples lives also depend on good governance. Other peoples lives depend on a "living" wage.
@@jobushie2492But people have been dying due to the irresponsibilities of our leaders. Even the protesting workers have lost loved ones due to lack of funds. Nigerian citizens have lost loved ones due to insecurity. What do you have to say about that. Let's stop all these insensitivity, wickedness and selfishness in this country.
I love the level of maturity and composure in the green chamber. I kindly advise the leader of the House of representative to kindly look into the area of production. I believe this will help to regulate the value of our corrency thus, improving the standard of living. Increment of salaries cannot address the issue in the country. Any attempt to add salaries is already a digging of grave for our economy and we all know the consequence. Thank you for the good fight.
If you know Hon. Gagdi the first to talk in this video, you will laugh until you pee yourself. It is the hypocrisy for me. These people are evil. If you don't know them you'll think "kudos" "weldone Member"... 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
But did government bought cars worth 150, thousand dollars for the senators and house of representatives members? The money that senators spent on their girlfriends are not up to what the civil servants are asking as their salaries!
Great speaker, use the speed used in passing national anthem to pass living wage bill. In addition the FAT and over loaded salaries and excessive amounts for all types of allowances not seen any where in the world to be scrapped. The greed is too much. Minimize it please.
The Alfa that said rain will not fall, his children will not eat stone, all those who are not wishing nigeria well, will not live to see the good of Nigeria, because God will visit his People, but all the enemies of Nigeria will not see good amen.
The issue is not minimum wage or living wage alone. There is a cost of living crisis going on in the country. First the government should declare emergency on food security and massively engage in social intervention programs. The government should concentrate on the importation of food products, especially grains into the country to crash prices of food in the markets to reduce the high inflation rate and focus more attention on the agricultural sector. The federal government should as a matter of urgency collaborate with the various state governments and build farm settlements across the country. Concentrate on mechanized farming in order to feed the nation and Africa. If the president can show leadership in this direction, Nigerians are ready to work with the government.
It is time we have mid-term elections in Nigeria. The excesses of our Senators and Representatives should be checked. The only problem is that INEC is too corrupt and inept to carry out free and fair elections.
You can never see the House of Senate go this way, making sense without Akpabio shutting them up. Labour should call for the harmonization of all salaries of politicians elected or appointed and the civil service at both Federal, State and Local Govt levels.
Akpabio is the worst thing in this senate. He is not for the interest of the masses. He does not care what happen to the citizens as long as he gas a fat pocket. Worst senate president 😂😂😂
I wonder oooo Wicked leaders everywhere Ogidi Omo did not say anything about poor power supply in oyo State Even minister of power is from oyo State, but no light anywhere except their houses
NLC wouldn't have tempered with the national grid if the government had listened to them during negotiations and addressed the issues raised by the labour leaders accordingly
But this man was there when Buhari was busy destroying Nigeria, The National Assembly Members were there supporting him and all his non-sense Bills. Now everyone is feeling the effects of that bad leadership, and the blames has been moved to the current administration. Though, this current administration has its fault too, but Buhari should be arrested for misleading this country.
If the current govt would not do the needful by probing into buhari's govt then it is complicit and should not complain. He categorically assured buhari that he would not probe him just bcos he needed surpport. And funny enough, most of the stealing were done by buhari's cronies.
Where is the job's in Nigeria? When all companies as closed down the ones that cannot survive in the country Nigeria as all moved out or relocate to other countries. So know job's in Nigeria apart from the oils money you people all depend on. Nobody can go to farm 🚜 anymore even the little ones the citizens manage farming the Headsmen use their cattle to destroy them so how will the country survive?
Okay, Mr. Speaker, what is your salary? What is the meaning of "Hardship Allowance" for the rapes and sinnators? Why is Hardship Allowance not given to the people who truly suffer hardship? What hardship does a person riding on a vehicle that costs millions of naira face? Who negotiated your own salaries before you started receiving them? You should not forget that you will not be in that house forever. One day you will leave that place because "no condition is permanent". You are eating alone and getting fat while those who voted for you are languishing in untold hardship and abject poverty and dying of hunger. God will judge all of you.
Is better to bring a new bill to discuss about your salary and your allowances well Nigerians know exactly the amount you receive every month and freely compare
What you earn is too much compared to the country's GDP, debt ratio, minimum wage, standard of living, insecurity in Nigeria etc...you Nigerian senators are the most paid in the world, based on the indices I stated above.
Why should a senator or any political office holder earn a benefit package more than a permanent secretary in the civil service? Let it be debated for the sake of fair play.
If they had not switched off the national grid, they would not caught your attention, not have been taken seriously and have you people discuss their issues!!!
The solution is for you to tell us how much your salary is yourself. That is the solution and not to shout into the microphone which does not hear you.
But these essential workers are demanding that you pay them well for jobs well done. If you can't pay the people that put you in office even when you yourselves know you can't work & serve like the common Nigerian that voted you people into offices. Forget about the people that have died during the power outage. should we now also die because you have failed to implement a living wage from between the time they shut the county's... Nigerians politicians, you people are too full of MISPLACED PRIORITIES.
The second speaker is more empathetic and very considerate. He articulated Nigerian workers plight and the need to salvage the existing crisis without further delay. With reasonable people like him at the helms of affairs in Nigeria, we will see considerable change in governance.
I wonder when people stand up and start shouting about the remaining Nigerians. How do you serve the remaining Nigerians? What do you do without the workers? Go and serve the Nigerians without the government workers!
Like it or not but for those who are priveledge to sustain them self personal and family wise, This place called Nigeria is never going forward, But it's just so unfortunate the one that had gave a listening ear was wrongly judge, and taken out of power due to misplaced priority, I don't see anything good even the tinest bit, cause when people settled at borrow fund even using it to fund excessive lavish life style, At the expence of his people they so called citizen, They have no plan just money share and go home repeat the same process, Nigeria is so useless fantastically, Efcc have not arrested a former governor who stole millions till date, and will be chassis innocent hungry guys on the street where hungry want to kill, Nigeria is a ticking bomb,
@@TA-nr1kr their pain is d national grid nothing else not even d people they claim to have at heart, for us d common masses where do we see light in my area we don't even know if anything was off or on na when we see d light we see d light
Parliament receiving salaries and benefits that is crippling the economy and killing millions should also be criminalized. Their salaries should be publicized, till then, it would be criminal and unfair to ban shutting down power during strike
Nigerian wants politicians to cut their salaries, we know our enemies and at the right time, Nigerian will sing arise oh compatriot , when Nigeria call , we will obey and touch all the politicians to protect and serve our fathers land with our strength
Shutting down the national grid send down a strong message across the Nation, it's a welcomed development and if nothing reasonable is done in harmonizing the minimum wage across board, TUC and NLC should go on and do it again. The light is not always available to be used by Nigerians for what ever reasons, politicians can't be using it as an excuse to show that they love the people.
Mr speaker why not all the ministry, agencies and parastatal to be increasing salaries in every 3 years rather than allowing labour to react and go for strike.
My Oga Hon. Stanley you have spoken well. No matter what the issue is, power should be shut down, because of strike. Power and health sector should not be short down, because these two sectors has connection to human lives. Govt .do the right thing.
I have never seen a careless government as the Nigerian government. Whatever law that you have that mandate a hungry man to die is a persecution government. This matter is simple. Before the whole world, under a very bad economy, the national assembly allocated themselves huge money for their benefits while the whole population of labor unions are dying of hunger. This is very dangerous. Any law you give that strangles the poor while the rich live on will hit rocks. If they can't strike on essential facilities, then you go home to sleep and keep your family happy too. This is what you should remember and do the very needful : the grid and other facilities must be touched. In this country wickedness is a habit. I don't know the day we will get over this wicked behavior of the political class. So sad. Allow the living wage before you make the criminal acts to stand.
We Nigerians are dying of hunger and insecurity than the national grid that was shunt down because the rich were unable to use their aircraft and use their life oxygen that is why they are pain, the National grid will be shut down again until they do the needful
Our Almighty GODHEAD, the GODHEAD of Creation is loving, merciful and forgiving but HE is also equally the only the GOD of justice. Devine Love/Agape, Mercy, Grace, forgiveness Favour cannot be complete without Devine Justice. Devine Justice and Devine Love are two compulsory sides of the same one Cion. Love without justice is not love.
National Assembly members who deny what they are receiving and collecting as salaries, benefits and allowances should be removed from OFFICE. The TRUTH is salary of National Assembly is FAT & EXCESSIVELY TOO HIGH!!! Let them receive MINIMUM WAGE because they are doing absolutely NOTHING for Nigerians... Its not HIDDEN, check public records, whatever has been published as their monthly salaries, benefits and allowances is the TRUTH, THE WHOLE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH.
