I am extremely picky which decks I will invest in so I find these video essential in my pursuit of finding decks that are right for me. Hi! Great video. I have the Gill Tarot and it's my workhorse deck. I got back in the 1990's when it first came out. I'm not into Kabbalah either but I was able to work with the deck. Yeah there are some decks I have trouble working with The Arthurian Tarot by Caitlin and John Mathews was one. I just couldn't gel with it I gave it back to my aunt. My brother got me The Osho Zen Deck. No book though. I didn't use it. I've seen The Tarot The Divine in my bookstore but it really didn't call out to me.

I loved this so much and I totally agree with you on everything you said about the tarot des ramures etranges. The cardstock is horrendous and I really hope like you it comes out in another version. I'm lucky enough to understand French - love it so much! Also agree with you on the Witches Wisdom. I do wish tarot creators would focus less on collectors (who always want super thick cards) even though I understand why they do ($$$) - and more on people who actually want to use the cards regularly. We don't all have huge muscular hands!

The best thing to think about when it comes to oracle decks is the more cards the more injoyable always more than 60 cards in a deck,to the creators of these decks,and I'd love to create decks I think it's pretty infinite the creativity!

Anna K was my first deck except for back in my teen years when I had an RWS. It's funny because I used to cringe at the artwork and now I adore it

I have a lot of those , many of them my favorites like The Morgan , OAT, Gentle, etc. Very surprised about the triple Goddess, I don't see that one a lot and I have ot for a very long. I get about Witches Wisdom, is a problem for me too but I enjoy the art so so much that I don't care

Really interesting to see all the decks you have! I nearly stopped to comment when you got to Tarot of the Divine, because I have this deck and I have the same response as you. The stories in the accompanying big book, which you have to buy separately, are not nearly detailed enough. Several stories I was already familiar with so I knew they were way too short and missed significant parts, which makes me doubt if I’m getting the full meaning of the stories I don’t know or of how they connect to the tarot card. What is most annoying is that the stories in the accompanying book do not even mention the card that they depict, and how that story relates to the card. Plus they are in a completely random order. It’s like a children’s book of tales from around the world, no mention of the tarot in it at all! So if you do a reading, you have to go to the LWB, find out what story each card relates to, then hunt through the entire index of the big book- which is not in alphabetical order, or in order of the cards - to find it. Only to get a very curtailed version of the story, and no explanation of why the author thinks the particular story and card work together, or what is divine about it. I spent hours trying to connect with the deck and the stories, but the author of this deck doesn’t make it easy and I lost the momentum. I have the Mythic tarot, and the book has great detail as to why aspects of each myth illustrate aspects of each card. Its brilliant, very informative and illuminating, and I was assuming this would be similar. Such a shame. I hope Yoshi Yoshitani revises the book because it could be amazing…. folk and fairy tales have such wise messages. Rant over, but I’m glad I’m not alone in my feelings about Tarot of the Divine! Also glad I watched the whole video before commenting, as I kept thinking you would love Tarot aux Ramures Etrange! And there it was at the very end … I absolutely love the deck too, it’s one of my favourites. I struggle with the French LBW and google translate, eg instead of Queen, this deck uses uses the French word Deesse, goddess, but my initial search said it meant escort (as in, an escort girl you can pay for! Oops!) I guess a goddess is escorted by a god, in a chivalrous old fashioned way. So an English version would be a delight. Lots of very interesting decks to consider, thank you so much.

Have you heard? It's said that the Witches Wisdom Tarot is coming out in a smaller size as this thats been out has been the collectible "Deluxe" version apparently. Phyllis Curott did a video about the bigger version going out of print.

I've been looking for so long to see the Rainbow Tarot trimmed because that was my immediate reaction when I first saw it! It must be trimmed, it looks fantastic! It's gone mass market since this video was posted (comes out in April!), so I'll feel much more comfortable trimming it!

What a wonderful library of tarot decks! You might want to hold off on trimming the Witches Wisdom Tarot deck. I just saw something about it will be going OOP and another version coming out, which might be a little smaller. If you are ever interested in either selling or trading your extra copy of the Carte Postale tarot, please, please let me know. I have some oop decks I would be willing to trade, or I would pay..... I am going to cancel my order with her as it's been almost 6 weeks since I ordered it and I am getting no response from her regarding my purchase. Totally bummed. Great video!! Your collection is incredible! I enjoyed browsing the decks. I did sorta notice it didn’t radiate as much joy and excitement as I thought it would. Most decks were either unused or what sounded like regret. Maybe it’s just my interpretation though.

Hi! I truly enjoyed watching this video! And you made me to buy a Vikings Tarot😆! Next year will be my "no buy" year so it's the last deck before I will be able to buy another one in 12 months. Today I've gotten the package- unfortunately there is mistake in my LWB- the text in English concerning Major Arcana is completely different than in othere languages😮‍💨- there is no info about the Gods and Goddesses which are depicted in the cards! Also don't feel too bad about not using decks. Some are for a reason and a season, and some we need to just get into our hands before we decide if it resonates with us.

Try side shuffling them … thats how i use my big decks

I got a zig photo signature pen, and it writes on the Druid Craft really well, if you want to just put a small sign of the card in a corner, and trim off the words.. I really wouldn't expect diversity in a deck that was labeled as "Celtic". 🙂

Controversial opinion alert! I love counterfeit decks- I only bought some for the first time this year and I spent maximum £3-8 per deck. I almost always buy the originals as well but leave them boxed as I don’t like big cards and use the counterfeit ones to read with. I just prefer pocket sized decks. If I don’t buy the original, it’s because I never connected with the deck and so I’ve saved myself a hefty price tag. The ones I don’t connect with never get used. I feel bad for the artist not getting their bit from me but I would be more upset if I parted with £50+ to buy their deck which i don’t connect with. This has only happened with 3 or 4 decks so far. Also, because the price point is so low, I ended up buying decks I would never normally choose, ended up connecting well with them and so forked out for originals too. I think counterfeit decks can serve a purpose if you are the kind of person who will buy the original too.

I know what you mean about handling Witches Wisdom. I was getting extremely frustrated by it, so I just decided to shuffle it in segments, cutting and switching them around between shuffles, then just doing a lame shuffle at the end to combine the whole, lol

the Animal Spirit Tarot comes from the TarotAndOracleByMM Etsy shop. Not TarotOracle, he did a tarot deck called the Waterfall Tarot, and an Echoes of Nature Oracle.

aside from the artist not getting anyting out of it because it was a fake. as far as using it for Tarot readings what's the difference between a fake and a real deck ? I'm sure it would still work .

Sorry to say this, but as someone with tiny hands, I sometimes buy tarot dupes from China... because they are often 6 by 10 cm, which is a great size I can manage! To make up for the loss of money and because I hate the art theft mostly done by Chinese impertinent manufacturers, I also buy the mass market version or donate to a kickstarter or etsy of the original creator...I did so with the Light Seers Tarot, The Spacious Tarot and The Modern Witch as well as the Cosmic Cycles Tarot. The tin box versions are often too small to really see the nice artwork! I rarely use my Sun And Moon Tarot in a tin box and I never used my mini Tarot of Pagan Cats Tarot. Please dear creators, give us something in between a huge and a mini deck!!!! I want to pay for all your effort, work and art, but I am often dissappointed.
