@@TravelwithJoce There's videos you can find , I have never been but story goes someone had a collection of deadly snakes they let go in the everglades since then the wild life has shrunk but snakes have increased. Killing all the softer animals including crocodiles.
@@thefaithful5991 you mean ever since some idiot decided to bump out their pet python ? Yes they’re an invasive species here but the snakes are probably one of the many dangerous things that habits the Everglades, we also have panthers there, killer mosquitoes that will eat you alive 😂. I wouldn’t let the fear of it all stop me from seeing all that beautiful nature :). Suggest you don’t let it either!
@@putrescentvermin kind of but snakes aren’t the only animals in the Everglades, they got panthers, gators, mosquitoes (that annoy you), crocs, bobcats
Here's a brief essay about the Everglades: The Everglades is a unique and important ecosystem located in southern Florida. Spanning over 1.5 million acres, the Everglades is home to a diverse array of plant and animal species, many of which are found nowhere else in the world. However, this fragile ecosystem is under threat from a variety of human activities, including development, pollution, and climate change. The Everglades is a vast wetland system that is fed by the Kissimmee River and Lake Okeechobee. The water flows slowly southward, creating a complex network of marshes, swamps, and mangrove forests. This unique ecosystem is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including alligators, panthers, manatees, and over 300 species of birds. One of the most important features of the Everglades is its role as a natural water filter. The wetlands act as a sponge, absorbing pollutants and filtering out harmful chemicals and toxins. This makes the Everglades an important source of clean drinking water for millions of people in southern Florida. Despite its importance, the Everglades is under threat from a variety of human activities. One of the biggest threats is development. As the population of southern Florida continues to grow, more and more land is being cleared for housing, shopping centers, and other commercial development. This has led to the destruction of many wetlands and other natural habitats, putting countless plant and animal species at risk. Another threat to the Everglades is pollution. Runoff from farms, factories, and other sources has led to the buildup of harmful chemicals and toxins in the water. This can lead to the death of fish and other aquatic animals, as well as harm to humans who consume contaminated seafood or water. Climate change is also having a significant impact on the Everglades. Rising sea levels and changing weather patterns are altering the natural flow of water, which can have devastating effects on the ecosystem. As saltwater intrudes into the freshwater marshes, it can kill off plants and animals that are not adapted to the higher salinity levels. Despite these challenges, there is hope for the future of the Everglades. In recent years, there has been a growing awareness of the importance of this unique ecosystem, and many organizations and individuals are working to protect it. Efforts to restore wetlands and other natural habitats are underway, and there are also initiatives to reduce pollution and promote sustainable development. One of the most important steps that
I used to live across the streets from the Everglades. Always head of my neighbors having alligators in their pools but I’ve never had one in mine. Lots of snakes however I’ve never seen any extremely dangerous ones. I used to see lots of tornados on the horizon while driving on alligator alley, very cool place.
Idk why u must see it it’s a swamp chances are u got one similar a half hour from the crib who actually wants to see a alligator I been to the zoo they are weird ass animals I rather go play with some dogs
@@TravelwithJoce there’s literally nothing left alive. People in Florida wanted pet pythons then released them into the Everglades when they got to big. Deer are missing there’s no raccoons no marsh rabbits. No mammals anymore. All there is is alligators crocodile and effing snakes. Look what was in the Everglades in the 80s and look now. Mind blowing
