Hermes Eau Givree is phenomenal for a Spring and Summertime freshie! I will be rocking this one a lot in the warmer weather and it does have this cooling accord to it as you said but it also has a unique scent to it that just works perfectly IMO. I highly recommend this one for all the men out there cuz in my opinion you just can't go wrong with this one. Again, just a unique scent that is second to none and it will get a lot of mileage from me for sure. To me this is the best frag I've smelled from Hermes and they really knocked this one out of the park. Great pick as always JC! All the reviewers I watch on RU-vid have had nothing but great things to say about this particular Hermes frag so to all the men out there, do yourself a favor and go buy a bottle or at least a decant of this to try out. I can promise you'll most likely be buying a full bottle of this once you try it out so for me this is definitely full bottle worthy for a good price to. Good looking out as always JC and keep up the great work and reviews my man! 💯👊🏻
L’Humaniste is the best summer fragrance, EVER. Ok, that might be a bit hyperbolic, but it’s up there. It’s 100% blind buy safe, but more so, it’s blind buy worthy! It’s a scent you can, and kinda have to, overspray; if you do, you get that longevity and projection that a few sprays won’t get you. IT’S WORTH IT, TRUST. It’s so GOOOOOOOOD!!!
Penhaligon’s Juniper Sling is the most photorealistic “Gin and Tonic” fragrance I’ve yet come across, though the fresh opening is VERY short lived... still, beautiful whilst it lasts. GFS of course absolutely slaps. One of the best “mass appealing niche” scents out there at the moment imo - and yes I’m one of those who owes their love of it to your recommendation. 🙌🏻 I also agreed with your assessment of Scent of Peace - way too synthetic and simplistic for me for the price. Solid video as usual, love this series. 👍🏻
Fluidity silver the best! I sampled Royal Water and also feel impressed nobody talks so much about it, to my nose it was a little bit younger version of Clive Christian 1872
Can't say I've tried all the fragrances mentioned but the one that I can emphatically agree with JC is the Hermes Eau Givree. This stuff is absolutely fantastic and it's my #1 go to summer fragrance thus far. You nailed it, JC that it comes to life in the high heat and for a freshie, it performs really well on my skin as well. Great video as always, JC!
Keep this serie going Justin, it's gold! I don't know if I've ever smelled juniper berry in a prominent way, but the only perfume I got which contains this berry, is Ormonde man. I just adore that perfume.
Comedy brass gets me every time 😂 I recently picked up green lover and rochas L'Homme. Haven't worn GL yet but it smells really interesting and I am loving rochas. Rochas to me smells fairly commercial initially but very quickly gets away from that. Sadly I go quite noseblind to it, but I don't think that's poor performance because I do catch whiffs (i think that's a technical term) throughout the day. I tried Eau givree at the hermès stand in a department store in Edinburgh, after my nose being bombarded with the other versions of terre d'hermes, Eau givree could have just been gin to me! But having got a sample since there's loads more to it and yeah it's amazing. I'm relatively new to this game but really appreciate your videos. They give me something to look forward to enjoying in the future, as I learn and experience a bit more about fragrance. Also thanks for not always pandering to the beast mode crowd, I work in hospitality and I can't imagine many guests want to be overwhelmed with a beast mode panty dropper as I serve them their breakfast. So it's refreshing to hear people talk about fragrances that aren't all about racking up those sweet sweet compliments. Sorry for a rambling comment!
Last comment, I swear: Gentle Fluidity Silver layered with Gold (they’re intended to be layered together) is a mind blowingly (not a word, but go with it) gorgeous combination. It’s one of my favorite combos, especially if I want a little sweetness cut into Silver’s lack there of.
@@blankmandastankman you’re correct, they have the exact same notes, but the ratios are different; they smell nothing alike, which is so crazy, yet so fascinating.
This is easily my favorite series because it helps me buy with intention and not just to collect. I don’t need 3 fragrances with the same prominent note.
i don't enjoy junpier berries cause of the gin connection, but i do appreciate the freshness (of the berry, the video and the style. i like a beanie) Love this format, keep up the good work man!
I ABSOLUTELY love Royal Water. I have no idea why it is not more popular. It is a Creed with performance and it is a beautiful fragrance. I live in a hot climate and it is one of my favorite go-to colognes when I am on a night out with my wife. Speaking of her, she loves it on me, and out of all my colognes, that is the one that she is most likely to steal a few sprays of.
Ever since you did the very first review on it, i instantly ordered a bottle. Eau Givree has become one of my all time favorite scents. Especially in the high heat with a white polo/button up and some khaki pants. At first sniff i was a little concerned with the vetiver but the more i sprayed it the more it kept me intrigued and it actually opened a door into liking vetiver based fragrances. Keep rocking and doing you thing brother. Much love and gratitude from NOLA ⚜️⚜️⚜️
Eau Givrée was one of my favorite pick ups last year. Really does that thing where it changes the world around you a little bit. Similarly, Greenley from PdM, at three times the price, but so great!
Great timing on this vid. I was wearing Brivido Della Caccia just yesterday and my son was asking about the notes. Now we get to watch this together. Bravo.
Wow, you keep a fast pace with this series! Thx for this focused list! I owe you for introducing me to "L´humaniste" - one of my favourites, specially because its not so "loud". MFK and "Eau Givrée" are also real treasures and I will finally try "Green Lover" (as you coming back to it frequently - and in envolving pronunciation...🙂) I am curious about the next edition: woody? amber? florals for men? keep them coming...
I have to correct you, juniper berry is actually a cone :D it's very berry-like, but its' scientifical classification is a cone. Now you know! Personally I love juniper berries, I sometimes pick and eat the berries when I come across a juniper tree. They taste very aromatic and the taste lingers for a long time after eating only a couple berries. The taste and smell is something familiar to me from my childhood, there are a lot of juniper trees here and I go to the forest regularly. I even remember thinking that it would be cool to have a parfum that smells like juniper berries. I have said it before here, but Eau Givree quickly became one of my favorite fragrances. I think the juniper note in it is very authentic and blends well with the citruses. I remember when I tested it and it soon became obvious that it was a fragrance I always wanted although it's a new fragrance.
I got this Justin, forget the Ambien, turn off screens an hour before bed and take 2-5mg of melatonin. You’ll sleep like a baby But on a serious note if you like MFK’s GFS you should try the gold version. Same note breakdown but blended differently for an amazing warm cool weather version.
I have Gentle fluidity Silver and it’s such a beautiful fragrance! At first sniff my gf loved it. So fresh and it has that gin note that’s not overpowering on the nose. Perfect spring and summer fragrance! Awesome content as always Justin!
I love the smell of juniper berries and gin😁 I was thinking about Green Lover last year. Now, finally! I pulled the trigger and it is on its way to me😊
Eau Givree, Royal Water are among my warm weather treasures. I also love Brivido Della Caccia but I am in the rare position of also owning the very rare and very discontinued Chopard Noble Cedar which is quite similar. If I didn't, I would own the hell out of Brivido Della Caccia 😁 - It's a birchy, herbal, astringent beauty and I am here for it.
My dog started to sneeze when you mention rochas l'homme. I had L'humaniste, i bouth it from a friend for 50$. and I didn't like it and soild it for 50. 😱 Gentle Fluidity Silver is my favorite niche fragrance ever. Just on the market to buy 200 ml. Royal water and oud are my favotire Creeds. Period. No Penhaligon’s Juniper Sling ? Very jupiter upfront frag. Even a little to much for me. I would add 2 things. 1. In theremsof most easy to where YSL Y edp. 2. In most easy to wear niche jupiter fragrance Mizensir Blue Gin, niche with designer vibe.
MFK Gentle Fluidity is lovely...Glad I have it in my collection. Picked up TDH Eau Givrée yesterday after smelling it in Sephora. I sprayed it and I get the frosted, refreshing vibe and the drydown was lovely. Great stuff!!
I got a clone of gentile fluidity silver called waves from the house of genre parfums man it's one of my favorite scents in my entire collection especially in the Summer. It turns heads when I wear that one best $25 I ever spent on a clone lol
Hi Justin. I tried a fragrance named "Paula's Ibiza Loewe" and when I tried it I thought: This smells like something Justin Copeland would like... 😄 Have you tried it? It's a great unique scent
I smell a lot of juniper berries in Versace the Dreamer. Years ago I've tried in the winter and I was disappointed and sold my bottle. Now I decided to try it again and I love it. I think need a bit of heat to shine.
Hello Justin, how are you? I'm cracking up 😅😅😅. Great, great, video and list. I have NEVER, NEVER, gotten a compliment from Creed Aventus but I have gotten compliments from the clones. I'm always amazed by that. Again good job! Stay safe brother and hi to Grace!
im rocking a decant of royal water on the nicer days recently and its a little dated but still very tastefully done simple fresh fragrance. good for running errands and has gotten me a couple compliments!
Funny because the entire time I was wondering if you had tried the PV Extrait version 🤣 I have both and would say the Extrait wins it for me. A lot deeper and is quick to get into the heart notes if you ask me
Hmm... Beannie Justin, I noticed, is consistently giving off a vibe on his own! Me likey! I am very curious to getting to know more about the thoughts of a Justin that needs a haircut... 😁
Ah yes, the beanie. You & I both appear to be in need of a barber.lol Juniper Berries are indeed a familiar note for me. I have multiple fragrances of quality worthy of mention. I shamelessly would like to sugguest both of your fragrances to cover the Juniper Berry note to anyone that comes across this comment. Yes the #Stayfreshproductions Captain incorporated this note in both of his fragrance offerings. 2nd Soul is still available via the Zaharoff website, stock is limited. No hype needed, my man JC made some bangers worthy of title Stay Fresh Productions.
First of your note exploration lists that I have not a single fragrance from. Clearly I need another juniper fragrance or two, as it's a note I really like. The sadly discontinued (but still available from discounters, I think) L'Eau Bleue d'Issey (which is much more a green fragrance than a blue one, despite the name and packaging) has a lovely juniper note.
Reason for the beanie: time for a haircut 👀 As far as the fragrances go, I still can’t wrap my head around Gentle Fluidity Silver. I know everyone loves it, but I can’t stand it. Maybe it is the juniper berry? I can’t pinpoint exactly what it is that makes me hate it. I tried to go back and give it a shot. I didn’t hate it as much. But it’s still not for me right now. 🥲
one addition to my previous comment: meanwhile I have two intriguing fragrances featuring juniper berry, I´d like to share: two "eau fraiche" by Parfums de Nicolai (a brand I´m exploring intensly at the moment; I have much respect for this familiy owned independent business): "L´eau mixte" features mint and juniper and "l´eau yuzu" -well- yuzu and juniper. Really nice and joyful fresh and spicy summer fragrances!
Huge Royal Water fan. The best juniper I smelled was a blind buy release last year called Blue Gin by Mizensir. Alberto Marrillas is the nose here. It’s a summer beast mode, huge projector, one of the best summer fragrances I have. Pricey, but worth it. Check it out.
I got a bottle of Gentle Fluidity Silver as a birthday gift back in 2019. I liked it but didn’t know if I could pull it off because it was so unique. I revisited last year and wore as a signature scent and women would go crazy. One even told me to get away from her😂
I wanted to love GFS, but the coriander was all I could smell for the first couple hours. Once the deep drydown hit, I got the gin vibes but it was just too little too late.
Justin, your chat, your jokes and videos are really interesting. I've been watching your channel for a long time because you explain it better without including poor quality content such as cringe perfume videos or "10 perfumes that make women crazy in bed". Also sometimes you have to repeat the openings you made with the trumpet. greetings from Istanbul.
wear your frags to bed and have dreams of all those compliments..... MFK GF Silver is one of my top frags, like a fresh, clean linen on a stainless steel table, for something with not much depth, it is deep, but mostly linear, when I wear it I don't care what anyone else thinks, it is for me and I love that juice. What's your thoughts on Epic Man? It has grown on me, at first I couldn't get over a medicinal smell and know it is in my top tier. Crazy how we evolve. Or don't....
Bruh, you live in Portlandia....every dude up there wear beanies. It's a PNW thang. And I like this vid...THIS is the direction you need to go in!!! You got this dry ironic wit that needs to be shown more
The beanie is because it's that time of the month, period... Nah, it's just to have some extra area to spray fragrance on. Come on, you know that's the REAL real reason. With the added bonus you can pull it off and spray something else on your hair. That's the way the world works. Fragrance hacks 101. Bravado della Gotcha sounds interesting. :P ...And Eau Givree is gorgeous. Browsed a bit, I hardly have juniper fragrances, thought I had some more but I didn't.
L'humaniste by Frapin smells exactly like Cremo Distillers Blend with similar performance or the Cremo perhaps better. Trust me, save your money and get the Cremo
You keep leaving this comment. Haha. I agree that they have similarities, but L’Humaniste’s quality is superior, imo. But people can place value where they choose to 👌🏾
@@stayfreshproductions That's for sure. Fun video for you, you should play higher or lower with various fragrances that similar or are clones and ask your family or friends to tell you which is higher. Lol
