Hey Aniyah , it’s me again , I’ve been watching your RU-vid channel since gaining my bachelors degree in health administration. I have been interested in all of the revenue cycle roles , and HIM roles , but it’s so many certifications that some of these jobs require , so I’m struggling through if I need to get RHIT certified , or billing and coding certified , it’s so much information that are needing in these role , & I know I’m not the only one that gets anxiety with where to start with this career ! I am also career driven & sometimes it gets so overwhelming.

Hey Breaunna, girl I feel you 100%! With the way these job markets are now I definitely would say those extra certifications are gonna be necessary. For the HIM roles, RHIT or RHIA would be great! You could start off in a medical records role while you obtain your certs and pivot/advance into a mid-level role after. For revenue cycle roles there are couple different certs you could do depending on what part of the revenue cycle you want to work in. Even I am having to go out and get more certifications because it is just so competitive and overwhelming for sure.

Im RHIT, you just need a Associates in HIM, then you choose but I suggest becoming a Cancer Registrar!!! They are paid more! Also you can work in it as a coordinator

What does a cancer registrar do. I am currently studying for my CPC exam with AAPC then I will take my classes online for my BS in Healthcare administration, Healthcare Information, or Healthcare Management. I was a Pharmacy Technician for 25 years, but I am older now so I am just going for it. Thanks for your information. I just saw your channel and I subscribe right away

What a great video!!❤ I’m glad to see more videos about this field. I don’t have any healthcare experience but next Monday I’ll be starting school for medical coding and once I take my exam and earn my CCA then the CCS I’ll get my associates degree and earn my RHIT. I also applied for a prn HIM assoc I position recently so I hope I get that to gain some experience while I’m in school. I know I might be doing things the long way but it’s the best way for me.😊

Hey girl how you been and thank you for this video I’m trying to to get a job next year at the hospital so I can have something on my resume wait you can do medical billing coding with health services administration girl I took a class on coding and I love the coding so much so should I go get a certificate in medical billing coding and what you do girl with health care administration?? I need come to your house and get them leftover thanksgiving food lol 😂 😂 I will think about revenue cycle management cause you said work from home home but I want to work in a hospital

Yessss girl you can definitely do that! Get you a medical billing job at the hospital to get something on your resume and while you are working that job go get the medical coding certification! That way by the time you finish with the coding certification you’ll have some experience!! There is so much opportunity for advancement in medical coding and a lot of $$$. I think it’s a great idea! And somebody need to come get em for real because I made way too much food😭😭

@@aniyah_nashee girl I’m look into medical coding cause I took one class and I really did love it I had my book and I just enjoyed it even my grandma had told me it’s a lot of money in medical billing and coding hmmm I’m have to go get my certificate after I finish my bachelor degree thank you so much for the tip girl cause now I don’t feel like it would not be something out there I can’t do with my degree cause my family had got in my ear and was like no change your major you won’t make a lot of money at all

Very good video. On February 18, 25th, I will receive my bachelor's degree in healthcare administration. I'm now an Accounts Receviable Rep, but I'm looking into my choices for once I graduate, and this video is helping me figure out where to start. Thank you ❤
