B&H had this on sale a day or so ago. Thanks to watching your video, I went ahead and bought it. I previously purchased the Telesin Smart Tracking Pan device for use with a phone or camera. Haven't tested it with the camera yet, but it seems to be too quick to pan with a phone. After seeing your video, it sold me on the OSBOT ME. It panned so smoothly as you walked around. This will be great for any phone videos I do. Thanks very much for the review video. Call OSBOT and get your commission. 🙂
There's a $30 coupon listed with the product on Amazon right now. That's a beautiful spot where you're filming this video. I'll have to make a trip to Michigan one of these days; it's so green compared to Nevada!
Awesome, and thanks for sharing, I usually notice those things. I'll add it to the description box. I shot this sometime this summer and just got around to editing/producing the video. It's really nice over there, right off the river. It's cold and gray here nowadays lol.
What would happen if you have more than one person in the picture? Or if you are recording but then someone enters or walks across? Great video! Thanks
Good question! I'll have to test that out and let you know. It's been a few months since I tested this, but I believe my daughter got in the frame once and it stayed focused on me. But I'm curious so I'll have to remember to check that out.
is it possible, without you, it should record 360 degree continuously? so lets leave device on an open event and it should keep recording by keep rotating around itself while you are away from device.
@@GadgetInspector hope that feature should be in new products. Today I also discover soccer recorders, as if like cam keep tracking the ball during the game, I found interesting.
@@BurOnOz As the technology continues to mature, I'm sure we'll advancement to that level. But I swear I've seen a device that can track small fast moving objects like that. Can't remember what it was called though and this was a couple years ago at least.
How can I use this to follow a soccer ball instead of me, so I record RU-vid videos for my soccer games. If anyone can help me please do, i record my own games hopefully this can record and follow the ball instead of me or instead of me recording
Great video. You convinced me to order one. Think it will be a great piece of kit for my hiking/travel adventures in Australia Thanks for the good video
@@GadgetInspector is a great piece of gear for the solo filmmaker. A little slow at times but once you get use to way it works, it's brilliant. Been filming a lot as I explore South Australia. Hopefully editing soon and uploading. Again thanks for great review.
I actually show it in the video. I also included links in the description box. I did a full review video on it and that’s linked in the description too.
When attempting to record 360 degrees, is the tracking self leveling? Is the very precise leveling of the device necessary in order to keep the horizon from dipping?
Yea there's no self leveling, so when you mount the phone onto the device you just need to make sure it's level. I actually didn't think too much about it when I did this and just leveled by eyeing it and it came out fine.
At about the 2:20 minute mark, when you walk away from the phone down to the water and then back again, the camera appears to zoom in on you and then back out. Is that something your phone does automatically, or is it some special app you have on your phone? Thanks very much.
