Hello my Australian friend. Will this camera track an object besides a person? I really need an auto tracking camera to track my boomerang flights. Is it possible??
I don't believe it can follow a boomerang, it may be able to lock on if it detects just the boomerang and the hand AI tracking symbol, but from the fast velocity and rotation of the shape it'd probably loose track of a boomerang 🪃 Interesting use case idea though!
@@camshand Explaining it like you did makes me think it might. Mainly from where the camera would be sitting just a bit behind me and off to the side. When my wife films me I make sure she stands where she has to move the least amount to get the shot. I might get one and try it. Thank you.
My Hohem isteady v2 is pretty nice. I don’t run around so it keeps me in frame good and smoothly. Plus I can use it the gimbal in many situations. This Obsbot is smooth flowers but can only do horizontal and that’s it.
Great video. In your opinion do you think this could track a car?I don't mean flying by at speed but sitting still in front of the camera doing a burnout then slowly moving forward.
no but the STL download files is a free download in the description, and you can then have the part 3D printed. I would however consider looking at the Hohem iSteady MT2 Gimbal, this is what I now use for my point and shoot cameras, no modding required and has 3-Axis.
@camshand interesting, thank you, I will check it out. I do action camera stuff; felling trees, log skidding, tractor stuff, etc. It is hard solo because of constant resets, things like the dji pocket cams would be perfect but they are not as durable as the action cams and won't hold up. Thank you for suggestion.
Haven't used it until it went flat Vinh. It would be greatly dependent on how much your moving around and how heavy your phone or device is, so would be a hard rating to gauge outside of what a manual may specify.
It came out usable which is good! Was pretty defeated until I switched out the tripod haha. Will be good to see this tech come out cheaper in the future 🙂
I'm running an Ender 3 V2, upgraded bowden tube and springs. BL Touch Added for auto bed levelling. All controlled by an OctoPrint server. Slicing done through CURA. I've got a couple vids on the setup: Printer starter: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hTSW-fXdFQo.html Enclosure build: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--mZW9WdBOeM.html Server setup: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-10W-jZ4IK30.html
That's a good idea! I kinda forgot about uploading the model as I wanted to make some adjustments after realising the tripod base was the issue but then I moved onto something else and just used it as is haha. I'll have to setup a thingiverse or such account and do a dump of the models I've been making 👍
You can't use the tracking cameras output. But obsbot makes a webcam that does tracking with multi axis panning. Worth checking out as the quality also looks good from what I've seen
Yeah it felt odd ontop, like the mount was springy for some reason. Then I think I read in the manual to just twist and it'll snap into place, made sense after haha 👍
Obsbot does have a webcam and standalone tracking camera which has zoom features. You can't control zoom with the Obsbot me just because it's app free, but if you ran an app on your phone which does it could. But that's be digital zoom so not a fantastic solution.
Actually you can tilt down manually. Its auto tracking doesn't adust for tilt. Dji isn't going to kill the market for the DJI Osmo Pocket 3. However for typical vloging this Obsbot ME certainly is a smooth operator!
@@camshand yes if you do filming with your iPhone you have a phone cage but you can add attachments so selling these items even like with the gimbals they need to have a good gimbal that holds a little bit of weight for the iPhones in a cage and a couple accessories and the filters in that microphone A light
