I made a run out to Kofa Wilderness Preserve and had an amazing time traveling to (3) three of the cabins located within the wilderness. Got to put my practice tot he test when I had a tire go down on a skinny portion of trail.
Just found your channel... cool stuff. I'm considering a full size rig with a Hawk camper as well. I want to do a lot more overlanding, especially when I retire in a few years. It's a lot of money to invest in a rig, when you consider the truck, the flatbed and the camper. I'm wondering if you ever feel limited with it? Or does it ever feel top-heavy? TIA for any insight you can provide.
Thanks for the message. It was "a lot" of money but I am enjoying it so much, All in (pre inflation) i was just under $125K to build the whole thing. I sold my house for a HUGE profit which allowed me do do it. Also I wasn't planning on a new truck but during C-19 used trucks were insane. I never feel top heavy. Only once did I freak out and thats when I hit 18-dgrees of camber.
