Visit Japan Web (VJW) is an official Japan government service that allows you to do pre-trip procedures for (1) Immigration, (2) Customs Declarations and (3) Tax Free shopping.
This video will demo step-by-step with a mobile phone on how to (1) Setup Account, (2) Register your details, (3) Register your travel plan, (4) fill-up the immigration and customs requirements, (5) Generate the QR Code required to be scan at the Immigration and Custom checkpoints / automated-machines for quicker entry. Hi, question. Regarding to the customs declaration, do we need to declare under "gold bullion or products of gold" part our personal jewelries like rings, necklace, etc? Thank you in advance!

Hi, quick question so im planning to go to japan in about a month. I am going to be entering to japan in osaka but leaving japan in tokyo so do I need to register for any other planned entry/return? or do I just have to register for entering into japan. Thank you!

Hi there. There is no need to register another one. Just need to register your entry via Osaka and your first accommodation in Osaka will be ok.

HI, I had registered and submitted my travel plans as well as declarations one day before my flight and had no problem entering Japan at Kansai Airport (Osaka).

Hi, do we need to register for both entry and exit to Japan or is it only for entry to Japan?

HI, we only need to register for Entry only. When I exit at Kansai Airport (Osaka), they only require me to scan my Passport at the automated machine to clear the Immigration. But do note that if you have used the Tax Free, they have Automated machine at the Immigration area for you to scan your Tax-Free QR code and Passport. 😄

HI Good Day, below are from Japan Airline (JAL): "All liquids, gels and aerosols must be contained in individual containers no greater than 100 ml. in capacity. * Containers exceeding 100 ml. in capacity are not allowed even if the content is less than 100 ml.) * Examples: Water, Juice, Toothpaste, Hair gel, Mascara, Spray etc.." HI there. There is no problem if do not have the QR Code. At the Immigration, just queue up at the regular queue for the Immigration Officer to process your entry.

Without the QR Code, you need to fill-in the hardcopy Immigration and Custom declaration form which can be obtained from Flight Cabin Crew.

Hi there. There is no problem. As long as you gotten the QR code, it is ok. At the main Airport like Kansai, Narita and Haneda, the automated machine will scan your Passport, QR code and will also take a photo of you. Else the Immigration Officer at the Immigration Booth will ask for your passport to be scan and will also ask you to show the QR code for scanning by them as well as asking you to look at the camera to take a picture of you.
