Now that's how you declare your love for a woman. Man, Fitz loves this woman.even Olivia was looking like "dang I didn't know you had it that bad, baby"...this scene blew me away.
Sometimes it's true love can be true out of marriage and can never exist in a marriage its better to move on instead of dragging loveless relationship or marriage
I cried, cuz I understand every emotions he spoke.. when you love someone so much that everything about them affects ur being, your thoughts is left breathless but just watching them..
If any man ever spoke to me in that way I’d be on the floor... these shows make me want to believe in this crazy intense love that I don’t believe happens in real life
It happens in real life unfortunately. In real life, this is co-dependent and unhealthy. This isn't what anyone wants in real life; it only sounds sexy. Played out, it's ugly and toxic.
Becouse in real life it's creepy obssession, when a man is so crazy about a woman, it's not realy about her, it's about the sensations that he feels near her, his in love with the feelings of being in love.
Melba Alim no way. idolatry is vicarious thrill. and although I do it (vicarious thrills), I no longer ignorantly welcome in as much trouble. Trouble mongers suck and evidently like to showcase how jealousy isn't of them. it's a feeble attempt to halt freer minds. all that to say, I call stuff out. p.s. devil means accuser.
+Pill Harmonic ....thank u for taking out your stuff out.pardon me it i call u green minded...just connect it to what u said...and may i tell u..devils are those who hurt people bcuz they just want to do it for thrill...accusing someone depends on how he deals others...
In case anyone wanted a script version of this epic conversation: *Fitz*: “What’s wrong?” *Olivia*: *sigh* *Fitz*: "You pace in circles when somethings wrong, when you’re just thinking its back and forth but when somethings wrong, circles.” *Olivia*: “Did you need something, Mr President?” *Fitz*: “See, you used to sound sexy when you called me Mr President, now it just sounds like I’m a gym teacher.” *Olivia*: “Did you need something?” *Fitz*: “The Sally Hemmings, Thomas Jefferson comment was below the belt.” *Olivia*: “Because its so untrue.” *Fitz*: “You’re playing the race card on the fact that I’m in love with you?!” *Olivia*: *snort* *Fitz*: “Come on, don’t belittle us. It’s insulting and beneath you, and designed to drive me away, I’m not going away.” *Olivia*: “I don’t have to drive you away, you’re married! You have children! You’re the leader of the free world. You are away! By definition, you’re away, you’re unavailable.” *Fitz*: “So this is about Mellie?” *Olivia*: “N-No! This is- I smile at her and I take off my clothes for you. I wait for you, I watch for you! My whole life is you, I can’t breath because I’m waiting for you! You own me, you control me, I belong to you, I-“ *Fitz*: “YOU OWN ME! YOU CONTROL ME! I BELONG TO YOU! You think I don’t want to be a better man? You think that I don’t wanna dedicate myself to my marriage? You don’t think I wanna be honourable, to be the man that you voted for? I love you, I’m in love with you, you’re the love of my life. My every feeling is controlled by the look on your face. I can’t breathe without you. I can’t sleep without you. I WAIT FOR YOU! I WATCH FOR YOU! I exist for you! If i could escape all of this? And run away with you? There’s no Sally or Thomas here. You’re nobodies victim, Liv. I BELONG TO YOU! WE’RE IN THIS TOGETHER!”
Okay, here is something I just realized about this scene. For the record I love Olitz. This is one of my fave moments. However, when Olivia says "I belong to you" she means it possessively. She feels like his object. She's not telling him how she feels, she's in a way attacking him. He however responds with meaning the opposite, that his heart is hers and always will be. He is telling her how he feels, where as she is belittling it. I get why, because up until now it has been very much just an "affair". But she can't comprehend that he truly loves her. We see it throughout season 2 especially. Maybe it's because she doesn't think she can love him back? Not sure. Haha okay all done! Thanks for posting.
Kirstie Donaldson Olivia is wrestling with some mighty powerful demons. Remember her father telling her "You have to be TEN TIMES BETTER". She's trying to reconcile their (Olitz) relationship in her mind. Papa Pope tells her all the time. Stop rationalizing that MAN. It's what a Black father would tell his Black daughter to remind her what line she is crossing. That the fairytale ending is not gonna happen. Olivia is wanted by all those who are powerful for what she's paid to do. Make no mistake that when it's all said and done there will be some "back bitting" to let her know her place. (Uncle Andrew) After Tom reveals the suicide Olivia saw that what Fitz was giving to her was him. RARE IS IT THAT A WHITE MAN WILL GO TO THOSE LENGTHS FOR A BLACK WOMAN. Olivia had to choose Power or Fitz. The kidnapping changed Olivia and left her a shell of her former self. Her comment, "there are things worse than rape" sums up everything. Fitz betrayal took her love away. She had nothing to point to for security. The higher she goes in the most powerful circles she will always be alone. Fitz can never understand or demolish those who will view Olivia as "paid help". While both Fitz and Olivia had excellent upbringings color will always be the divisive issue. When Karen called Olivia after the sex tape. Karen knew that Olivia understood what it's like to grow up in that world that type of fish bowl. When Olivia shares this with Fitz she's meet with the "condescending tone and please help our stupidity of its my daughter". Olivia hits back it's always someone's daughter. The undertone message is ignored by Fitz to get his mistress to do what she does best. Make sure that this never gets out, ever. Marcus reminds Fitz as his assistant when he questions Fitz what role will Olivia have in his Presidential Library. Fitz had to be reminded of the facts about how Olivia is going to be viewed by Marcus and why. So you can't say that Olivia viewed their (Olitz) relationship as an affair. For a Black woman there will always be the "Sally Heming and Thomas Jefferson reference." ALWAYS.
Because with them it's real love but to the world it's just another president with his mistress. It's not alot of people that have affairs and fall in love with the mistress. Like he told her she's nobody victim. Everything she did with him was mutual. Olivia still up to season 5 had downplayed her role in his life. That's why she was quick to walk away from him. She always considered herself as his mistress and he had to shut her down every time by saying she is so much more than that. She needs him to do that too because even though they love each other he was still married. It's good that he told her these things because the next scene they visit the constitution and she tells him I love you and I'm in love with you too. Him bringing Mellie to Olivia door was the stupidest thing he could've done but it's good that Fitz reassured her so quickly cause if he didn't love her he wouldn't even care how she feels.
@@jacquelinepayne4737 As for me, I don’t care about what ANYONE ELSE thinks of me or my relationship because I know who I am and where I belong: anywhere I choose to be. Many high born people depend on others who aren’t so blessed to shrink and know their place so that they can be reassured of their loftiness but so sorry (not really) to disappoint. My first partner was a blond political operative and he did everything for me-“the rare White man” you speak of isn’t so rare when love walks in! “Mistress”, so sick of this word! I see it more like one of Liv’s paramours happens to be married. Timing was wrong, not the connection or the emotions else they wouldn’t hold on the way they do. Fitz only sees life from his point of view without ever fully considering Olivia!! She’s HIS operative, she’s HIS woman, well, she’s HER OWN PERSON, making her own decisions not a puppet to be played with by two people who couldn’t even get their own act together, no less meddle elsewhere! She’s to be taken seriously, not some cog to be jammed into Fitz’s machine, otherwise known as his “life”. Olivia is a complex living being that wants to love a man who can’t face his loving her and keeps throwing up all sorts of blocks and excuses because what she really is, reps, is CHANGE. The unknown, something Fitz doesn’t enjoy because he doesn’t know how to allow. Funny he can’t even see that he’s a change agent too, why they’re drawn to one another! Just wish Fitz would trust his heart for a change (no pun) and stop listening to the fear monger chorus inside his head and those who for various reasons, don’t want to see him happy if it means the shattering of their decrepit traditions and ludicrous expectations (which by the way, don’t work for them either! Why do you think those “lords” have mistresses in the first place?! Hypocrites! Time for Fitz to blow off the misery-loves-company naysayers and give his and Olivia’s destined connection a chance. Promise he’ll be pleasantly surprised. SMH.
@@Mirkensplays sadly actors in previous generations showed that having marriages does not stop having affairs. Sometimes they end their marriage. But I believe there are actors who take it upon themselves to set up boundaries and be responsible with the chemistry they set on film.
danielle thomas I just want to know what was he thinking about. There are scenes that make you wonder one way or another. For me, this is "too good of a acting scene"😥🤔.
This ship is so real they can tackle things like racial difference which they have more than once. I don't see olake being deep enough to ever discuss anything like this. #olitzforever
I agree with you 100% Olake can and will never be deep enough to dicuss anything like this the only thing Olake discuss is how can he kill her father... that's all he knows..
It's not meant to. Jake came in to come between Fitz and Olivia and didn't succeed. She never loved Jake. She used Jake to her own advantage. The problem was he fell in love with Olivia and wanted her to save him from her father all the time. He sexy as hell but he became real annoying.
She's telling him that she feels like his personal whore and she's in love with him too but at the end of the day she can't have him right now cause he's married with kids and the president so things are complicated but he's letting her know baby I got it bad too because I'm the president of the United States with children and I'm married but I'm in love with another woman. I don't want to be unfaithful to my wife even though we are in a dead marriage. I wanna try to be a better man than my father but the heart wants what it wants. At the end she was like dammmmm
Everything he said is absolutely right on point and especially when he made it plain that she's not a victim. He was absolutely passionate about his love for Olivia or he's a damn good manipulator! He fell very hard for her because "he's over" it with his wife and marriage, and he sees himself and everything he really wants for himself in Olivia. How many men would honestly give up accomplishments like the Presidency for just any woman? If anything, it's the woman that follows him anywhere. He knows he can't and won't be over Olivia and he's made it very plain that she doesn't walk away from him. He's not giving her up for anything and quite frankly he doesn't seem to really care about her being African American.
I don't have a "love of my life" like him at this present time but I'd want this same situation for myself like Olivia and Fitz. I want someone just like Fitz who's aggressive, knows what he wants, and wants me exclusively in every way. I'd also want a lover like him who knows how to take care of his woman physically. I love that both Olivia and Fitz have deep passion and can start a fire anywhere they are whether it's the campaign bus, in a hotel, or at the White House. Whether he has blue eyes or not, I'd let him take me to places I never thought of before.
+Grimm Reaper Plenty. Friendship of course, watching and playing sports. I'd enjoy some aromatherapy massage, a quiet dinner, scented candles, beautiful flowers, soft music, and a chocolate dessert. We'd take a nice bubble bath in the large whirlpool tub with some White wine and strawberries.
@@sharonshumpert1917 Didn’t say they weren’t in love. (He, more than She, as it turned out.) But this scene is mostly Hot, unfulfilled, Lust. So surprised that they didn’t end up against a Tree that night. (And removing splinters for the next few days.😩😂)
Noo, it definitely started to crumble when it got to the kidnapping part , and then it hit even worse with the auction. Then , in later seasons , Olivia became annoying , bordering upon unbearable. Then they introduced that another black woman as a love interest for Fitz , and they had no chemistry . Then they kept changing Papa Pope’s motivations (one minute he was evil, next second he had a conscience . Scandal became an utter MESS by the last season , a former shell of itself . And then there was the finale which was .... abysmal !
I came across this clip last nite and was contemplating starting to watch this show just to see what the fuss was all about... but after reading this comment... maybe I'm okay with RU-vid clips only. Lol
the fact that my entrance to shonda rhimes' school of love declaration was bridgerton and seeing the parallels in this OMG i feel embarassed that im using bridgerton references when this came first and WAS THE BLUEPRINT
CaughtUp Yea cause she was accusing him for the love she felt for him. Like its all your fault that i love you and I am breaking my moral code but did not realize that he was just as banged up and head over heels about their relationship then she was.
One of the best man's adorable declaration of his intensifying love to his woman ive ever watched..Fitz love for Olivia was too strong...nd they 're so in love to each other 😎😍😙😙😙 Jst like you to me you are the love of my life my Doux Bèbè 😎😍😙😙😙
He had to let her know that she's not the only one feeling some type of way. Yes he's married and the president and so being his mistress is complicated but his thing is he's feeling the same. He's the one married with kids but is in love with a woman that's not his wife. He has tried to make his marriage work hell he was faithful to her until he met Olivia and we find that out in season 3.
I've always loved how they communicated, they said what hey meant and meant what they said. They honesty, incredible. I'm still looking to be with someone I can be that vulnerable and honest with.
This scene was/is awesome..the connection between them was something..Scandal was my Thursday night drug..had my pineapple chunks soaked in coconut Ciroc and I was ready😂😂
