William Philip I can't agree with more. When I was in school, I was special ed in grammar school. For four years my teacher had me stare at the word red because the progressive thought it was teach a stupid person how to read. When I wasn't going on field trips to super market because thought that was the only job me and my class could get. It wasn't until my teacher got fired and my mother hired a tutor to teach me how to read. By time I got to 5th grade they let me skip it. Because I was reading at 10 grade level, but grammar level ever went higher than 3rd grade. Now you grammar police officer. You think your perfect just like our President Obama. I didn't read the same book as Obama, like Karl Marx or the Russian constitution. (which bite him in the ass. didn't) I was to busy reading Adam Smith and Milton Friedman. I also read affordable health care act. to be be fair , I only read 300 pages, but that's only 299 more than the president. Know if you agree that I'm a idiot, I would agree, It's the policy of progressive get me that way.

For example, I don't see Progressives cutting the funding for health care and helpful government services, which benefit the poor and working class, but I see the mean spirited GOP cutting those sorts of programs every day. They then take that saved revenue and give it as a tax break for the top 1 percent. I do agree with you that Democrats are not gods. Individual Democrats themselves would be just as thieving in power as our current crop of Republicans, but at least you wouldn't have to find out that the government has cancelled Meals on Wheels, like this government did. At least with Democrats you'd have health care and all sorts of progressive ideas in place. I don't know if you are rich or not, but if you're not, I believe you'd be way better off with Progressive/Democrats than you are with this current strain of Republicans. The funny thing is, I mostly agree on the problems they see....like public school, China...and so does Donald Trump...so why are we conservatives stupid??
Because CONservatives are the ones that have created these problems. They have supported free trade, turning our electronics and manufacturing over to China, (if we go to war right now, we have to buy our electronic parts from China to build our war ships, planes, tanks, and vehicles) which moved jobs overseas. They have been working on de-funding public schools, and privatizing them, and trying to force religion into the class room. (if you want religion in the classroom, force science into churches) They've been working on forcing business into government, and deregulation of polution, (that's why you have to pay more taxes, because they are paying less, and wages have dropped) Corporations aren't creating more jobs that pay a living wage. Go read "The Conservative Mind". You'll see that Conservatives want a certain amount of insecurity instilled in the American people, to control them. It's in the book.
Because Conservatives only give lip service to solving those problems. Then they take away the funding for all of it to give tax breaks to the very rich. The ones supporting that obviously dumb idea we call stupid. Hope that helps.
Wow apparently I need to clarify: My point was that the line "if you don't like the election you can just turn your back", meant to be a criticism of conservatives in this very liberal song parody, is now quite ironic in light of the "not my president" movement. My comment was more meant for the makers of this video than for anyone in the comments section, but I see how the #notmypresident with little context would come off that way. It was a sarcastic #notmypresident, not a genuine one I am not a snowflake, I will be voting for Trump this fall, etc.
