The mascara ended up wearing really well! I noticed a couple of tiny flakes but nothing crazy. The curl lasted all day though and looked really nice before I took it off at night!
Hey Jess, I don't know if you'll see this...I saw your other choice for concealer was the Revlon colorstay. Just wanted you to know one of the ingredients in that is salicylic acid so it's more of a concealer to cover blemishes. Too drying for under eyes because of the SA. But it helps treat blemishes and stays in place all day so it's great for that🤗
Jessica’s little side commentaries are my favorite parts. The not-so-secret dislike of using brushes, avoiding of bird violence, and ambidextrous false ambitions... We love you, Jess. 😉💗
I'm so glad you mention the problem of these thin formulas foundations really catching on to peach fuzz, sitting ON the skin and catching on dry patches.... I have the same issue and wasn't sure if it's how I'm applying it or what but yeah, I completely relate!
As birders (and vegans), my husband and I do not like that phrase, either. I'm going to start using yours because it instantly made me smile, but change it to cats so our two don't take offense :) Happy trails.
I really like when you apply zoomed in like that. Way better view of actual performance for us. Please do more of this. Way easier to see! Thank u for not using beauty filters. We’re here for your real ness.
The Light Cover foundation is amazing. I haven't heard anyone not love it. I had family think I wasn't wearing foundation, just thinking it was my skin care making my skin look. It looks & feels natural for a 14 hr day. I now hate the look of foundation so only will wear a tinted moisturizer/bb cream normally, but this I love because it doesn't look or feel like makeup. Just looks like great skin.
This video is full of personality & edited in such a fun way 😄Love this series & the no eyeshadow look as well! If you feel like naming similar but recommended products (in the case of like the foundation), that would be helpful & interesting too! I really need to be taking notes 😅
Thank you for your honesty Jessica, it's cool if you don't like any or all the makeup or stuff you try that is more realistic than having videos of things and always liking everything you try I find not being very realistic. Thank you for trying something from the milani supercharged line, I would like to hear your thoughts on the milani supercharged corrector they have a peach, dark peach, and a pink. Please I would like to see more on the supercharged line, as well as the peach and cherry line they have new primers as well.
Those Revlon lips are my new favorites! If anyone loved Colourpop ultra satins they will also love these. They last soooo long and are very comfortable. They do transfer a bit but they last and are comfortable and don’t crack like matte liquid lips. I bought so many 😬
I'd love to get your take on "TikTok" products! I get sucked into a lot of the products that go viral but I trust your opinion a lot more than Tik Tok!
I love these drugstore videos!! 💜 Out of everything, the Revlon lip product is catching my eye the most. Hopefully they have some good cool toned shades. 🤞🏻 I'm so excited for the drugstore brushes video!! And yes, the hunt for a good tubing mascara at the drugstore continues.. 😩
The number 7 mascara is called stay perfect, but even though it is a tubing mascara is not a dupe for thrive. It's a very thin formula so I use it as a top coat over other mascara's I love to seal them.
@@amazingful55 no its not to hold a curl. Its because I have such ridiculously oily lids that all mascara except tubing formulas end up smeared all over within a few hours. So if I wear a normal mascara I seal it with a topcoat of tubing formula mascara to avoid racoon eyes.
I got the maybelline Snapscara waterproof one - black tube with blue horizontal strip, definitely feels like a tubing mascara, goes on crazy easy, and even though it’s waterproof, comes off with water water in tubes.
When it’s safe to do so, I’d just LOVE for you and Taylor Wynn to film a video together. You guys are so supportive of each other’s channels! You seem to have a lot in common and you have such fun, positive personalities. You two are what the beauty community should strive to be like...in your “happy corners of the internet” ❤️
100% agree about thin, light coverage foundations. They always make my skin look weird? If I use a medium coverage and use a small amount with plenty of moisturizer I think it gives me the coverage I want but with a much better final look.
I love the Milani primer! I have used it with the Missha BB cream & WnW tinted hydrator for a couple months now & I love the subtle healthy glow. Glow is always my goal!
This is a nice concealer and it really doesn’t crease too much or look creepy but use it within 4/5 months I had mine just over 6 months and I used it again and there was a burning sensation under my eye...kinda like that old L’Oréal glowy concealer that was fragrance and it burned! It’s clean formula so use it up as quickly as you can
The Revlon foundation looks like it could be a dupe for the new Fenty Foundation.... I would say it’s worth a comparison and I haven’t seen anyone say that yet.
Thank you for being open about derma plaining or wtv. not a lot of people mention that detail. I dont plan on ever doing that but I can totally understand getting different results with and without. so its good to know
Jess, you might enjoy the L'oreal RS Lightweight Matte Lip Stain. SO comfortable, great longevity, and is a super think formula. That and the maybelline matte inks are my faves rn with mask wearing.
Thinner foundations are tricky for me too, BUT when using the NYX oiler primer, it looks amazing! I think the oil allows the foundation to glide and then sink into my skin.
Have you ever tried Mac Face and Body foundation? 😍its the gorgeousness that Shelby Wilson shows! I have it and I find myself saving it for no reason! Im oily and I can wear it. I set it and it can last. I haven't wore it with a mask. If I was hanging out with friends or somewhere soon without a mask, I would totally bust it out! I need to do it so ! It is a terrible shade range and finicky application. Again, Shelby Wilson is queen on it!
Wet and Wild bare focus tinted hydrator is awesome!! Very light coverage (I would have hated it when I had bad acne), slightly dewy and great for normal to dry skin in my opinion :)
I would love to see a video with Winky Lux products! They’re drugstore-ish since they’re at Target, but definitely not the drugstore prices I’m used to. Their packaging and displays are so cute but I haven’t really heard much about how the products actually wear. 💗
I'm like you where I'm gonna choose a sponge or my fingers before I choose a brush for foundation. BUT, I have realized that the one type of foundation that I always find needs to be spread out and blended with a brush is stick foundations. I prefer a slightly mousse-like texture too. And I have found that the Maybelline Dream SATIN Foundation specifically - not the Dream RADIANT Foundation - is such a lovely skin-like texture. The Satin one is SO UNDERRATED YA'LL. Idk why no one talks about it. I have backups on backups because they stopped carrying it at Ulta and all the drugstores. I can only find it at Wal Mart now! :(
Have you tried Loreal Air Volume mascara, the "easy waterproof" in a blue tube? It's easy waterproof since it has a tubing formula, and it comes off with warm water 😍
i’ve tried the thrive, hourglass and no7 tubing mascaras and in my experience the no7 was my least favorite and took the most work to get off. hourglass unlocked worked best for me👌🏼
Jess, I convinced my wife to say, ‘Feed two birds with the same hand’ to get rid of the violence in that sentence. I also made up ‘Wash two penguins with the same sponge’ which just tickles me. I love changing language like that 🥰
I agree with the thicker concealer/foundation formulas being more forgiving on my skin. I find that thin formulas sit on top of my skin, a bit patchy and peely.
My all time favorite, go to lipstick is the Revlon Colorstay Overtime liquid lip in Constantly Coral. the Constantly Coral is a pinky coral and goes with almost everything. This is not drying and last a long, long time.
Hi Jessica, I’ve loved your videos for a couple years now, but listening to you talk about skincare I’ve got a question. I’m 47 and I’ve never used skincare. I know crazy. I have one patch of texture, and hollowing under my eyes a little. But while the sales are going on, I’m getting some thangs. I ordered a corrector and moisturizers, but I noticed at Ulta they have several brands on sale. Do you know if the Derma E brand is decent.? The reviews looked pretty good for a couple of their serums. I don’t want to spend a fortune if I don’t have too. Thanks for taking your time, I love your down to earth personality. You’re so relatable.
I tried the Revlon light cover and it's probably my least reached for foundation right now. There's something about it I just don't like. I bought the Fenty eaze drop foundation and absolutely love it. As I was watching you apply the Revlon when I was thinking that that one is very similar to the Fenty one. I'll have to try both of them again and see what makes me prefer the Fenty significantly over the Revlon!
There’s a seventeen-piece brush set from BS-Mall on Amazon (black handles) that has a brush that looks a lot like that Sephora concealer one; I’ve been using it for contouring, because it’s a good size for my tiny face lol, but when I opened it up I actually thought to myself that you would like that brush :) It’s of okay quality, imo-I’ve had better from BS-Mall, but it’s pretty good (it’s also like fifteen or sixteen dollars for the set, so I think it’s a good deal)
There is more than one No 7 mascara in gold packaging. Make sure you try the one named “Stay Perfect”. I feel like I have to put more coats on to get it the way I like it. It definitely builds better than the Blinc high end tubing mascara. I have not tried Thrive, I shave been avoiding spending that much money because the photos/videos look too similar to me.
Girl, get the Milani keep it full pumping gloss in Luminoso! It's bomb! 💣💥 That No. 7 360 mascara I will be purchasing. It looked great on you and I may try the Milani primer. It looked right up my alley. I'm in love with the ELF lip glosses, the $3.00 ones. Mauve Glitz is my favorite on a no makeup day. Perfect, PERFECT lip color! Thanks for the video....I loved it! Hugs & Love from Kentucky 💋😘❤🌺P.S. In a future video would you please try the Revlon Rose Glow primer and give your thoughts!! xo 💛🐝😁
The no. 7 mascara I mentioned a few months ago being a dupe for thrive tubing mascara is the No. 7 Stay Perfect Long Lasting Volume mascara in the gold tube.
The No7 gold tube is tubing. I find it very different from Thrive. It makes my lashes look spiky. It does not give a fluffy or voluminous result for my lashes. I personally have a better result with the L’Oréal Double Extend, which I use as a best choice for me in regards of performance and price point.
I accidentally hit a bird today and when you said “why are we talking about killing birds?” I lost it, just got caught off guard. My cat, being the Angel she is, started rubbing all against my leg, purring so loudly, calmed me down before any tears.
Omg I’m so sorry that happens to you. Just remember it was a complete accident & not your fault. I’ve done the same & it makes you feel horrible! I hit a deer a few years ago & I felt so bad for a good while. I’m such an animal lover. I’m the person that if there’s an animal needing help I’ll put myself in danger to help it. I love how cats just know when your feeling sad or upset. My cat always knows. He sleeps on my chest every night & his purring helps me fall asleep lol
@@x.Kristen.x thank you so much! I am definitely trying to focus on it being an accident. Cats really are just so intuitive and sweet. People who just say that they are selfish have never felt the love they have!
