Here are a bunch of the crazy dinosaur toys and features in the new Jurassic Park pinball machine from Stern. This is the Premium version, with extra cool stuff. #ign
@@robh1908 That depends on your point of view. Pinball machines are handbuilt, have miles of wiring, and lots of intricate mechanical systems that not only have to be tough enough to survive continuous slams from a steel ball bearing, but run for long periods of time with very little downtime. As a mechanical engineer, I can definitely see why pinball machines are expensive. They're far more expensive to produce than video arcade games, yet give a more satisfying tactile feedback than any video game. Watch a video of what they look like inside, and you'll see how complicated they are. I have the original Jurassic Park pinball machine, and having played this new one, I can say the original is better in almost every way (actual character voices, music, and likenesses for one thing). The original machine also has a T-Rex that eats the ball, and it happens to be about half the price of this one.
"You probably won't see this rare Jurassic Park pinball machine in an arcade." - Except: 1. It's not a rare machine, this is a wide release Stern machine (there are other rare ones, like Supreme which were intentionally low volume and high price) - 2. You just got to find an arcade that carries this machine.
It's not called supreme - it's actually is a "Limited Edition" - (Pro, Premium & Limited Edition) which is just fancier art, a plaque and an internal cabinet shaker motor.
@@roycem4945 Jurassic Park wasn't the machine I was describing. There is a pinball machine released by Stern in 2018 called "Supreme" based upon the brand name: pinside.com/pinball/machine/supreme
This is a fine video, but this is not a rare machine. It is expensive, but they can be sold to anyone anywhere. Come to Portland if you’d like to take a look at some old and actually rare games!
Yet another misleading IGN title about pinballs, VERY FALSE statement, when in fact an arcade is exactly where you will find one, we have one playable to the public at ours in town!
I wouldn't call a brand new pinball machine that anyone with enough money can buy, "rare". Rare would be something only a small number of people can buy because of limited quantities.
You saw one of these BRAND NEW Jurassic Park Stern Pinball machines when you were a child? Right... Maybe you saw a totally different version from a different company in the 90's or something, but it's certainly NOT this Pinball machine. That wouldn't even be possible...
@@AzrialAlaria yeah must have been a data east one released in 93, as a kid seeing a pinball machine with a t-rex in, this kind of gave me a deja vu moment to when i was young
Lol. I love it when non pinball people post videos about things being "Rare" or "expensive". Rare would be a Gottlieb Gemini...expensive would be a Cactus Canyon. Oh...these people. Stick to video games IGN, otherwise you're gonna get more heat from us pinheads.
Vectrex4Life yeah but those are modern ones I have those to but I wish I could see that old ones that had street fighter or the original pac man and claw machines like the ones back then in 1889
@@christophervillanueva9909 I know what you're saying. I much prefer the 90s and 80s games too. Barcades typically have 90s and 80s games exclusively, at least mine do. I don't have to leave my house to play real machined since I've got 9 myself, but part of the experience is playing them with other arcade fans in an actual arcade.
