Howdy fellas, i had to rush this one out as i lost a bit of time playing catch up with the ebay video but i hope its still enjoyable for you guys! I do genuinely like the Nexo Knights line-up even though they get a bad wrap and for good reason. I think everyone would of been happier with a legitimate castle reboot instead of these.
Thanks for all the lovely support we're getting close to 2k!

There are 3 types of Lego castle fans: 1. Historically accurate ones 2. The pure fantasy ones 3. Nexo Knights ones.

Or you can be all 3. I love fantasy most (my first theme I got was dragon masters / black knights - loved the wyvern on the shield and the dragon), then I love Nexo Knights (it got me back into Lego mostly because I love space as well as castle), and I like classic castle as well because they are well.

I think Nexo Knights was a really cool idea and had some sick sets but it lacked the world building and story that kept themes like Ninjago and Bionicle alive for so long

To be fair, Nexo Knights didn't have as much time as those themes to build its world. It just didn't capture the imagination they way Ninjago and Bionicle managed to. The existence of Ninjago also meant competition was fierce, it had to prove to kids that it was just as good if not better than the Ninjago that was airing at the same time and because Ninjago already had that 5 year old established story and world compared to Nexo Knights being totally new, it's pretty clear which theme was going to come out on top. If Nexo Knights existed in a vacuum without Ninjago, I'm sure it would have been way more successful. Too bad, it really seemed like Nexo Knights, like Ninjago was getting a more and more immersive world and story as time went on but by then, it was too little too late.

The only reason Nexo Knights was disliked so much was because it was yet another attempt by LEGO to release an alternative "Big Bang" theme to Ninjago. And we all know how Ninjago fans react whenever their beloved theme is threatened even in the slightest...

I actually LOVED NEXO Knights as a younger kid. This was before I really started picking apart every single piece of media for their flaws, and could genuinely enjoy anything for what it was. For the theme's duration I was absolutely hooked and prioritised it over Ninjago (same thing happened when Chima released) and even though I always end up back with Ninjago, both NEXO and Chima gave me some beautiful memories. I especially remember this kid on my bus who also loved NEXO Knights and he would always trade minifigures with me during the ride to school. Also, the sets were pure joy for me.

I remember seeing the first ad for Nexo Knights and thinking it was the weirdest, dumbest, castle-version-of-Ninjago-est thing. Fast forward to now, I have at least one copy of all the original line, most of the second line, and a couple of the third line. It quickly and unexpectedly stole my heart and I'm glad to see it getting love elsewhere. Also, after making fun of me for being into them at first, my friend also became a die hard Nexo fan. It's a surprisingly slippery slope.

I'd say they were really great (not just almost). All the villains - at least the minifigs - were great, and the first series had GREAT castles that can be placed next to classic castle sets as villains. You have red demons, purple / blue/ grey rock monsters and evil cyber vampires. The knights themselves focused too much on vehicles instead of castles (loved the fortrex - castle on threads set ) It wasn't such a bad series. Would have wanted more. They kinda missed the opportunity to make them modular - just imagine having some medium to large castle / towers / so on that could build around the main castle as a huge super castle?

@@octav1600 the demons are alright. But only the Borg guys took advantage of the themes concept. The demons are fine. But there just super plain. When people think of castle they don’t think going full doom guy. The rock guys are alright.

@@Hot_SpicyGrill I think they wanted to take it from full magic / demons to artificial stuff (golems) and then give the villain the same magic / Tech feel - I do feel the red demons are great for what they are - but loved the Borg best (they just don't integrate in normal castle as well as the demons and statues).

While I’m not the biggest fan of Nexo Knights, I can definitely agree with the point at 1:47. Some of the figures are still really cool out of context, even if you don’t like the show. My favorites are Lord Krakenskull, Moltor, & General Garg which I had to pay an arm & a leg for since it’s the most expensive figure in the entire theme.

The first season is the best, it is such a good idea of neolithic or ancient style monsters fighting against futuristic knights. I wish someone would create an animated LEGO series on it.

I miss the classic lego trinity castle pirates and space. But since star wars is not going anywhere harry Potter is going strong and ninjago refuses to die. I started seeing the value in under valued themes. Nexo knights is up there with ninjago for having some of the best unique weapons and armor and enemy minifigures. I started integrating them into my pirates mocs and found them great for adding fantasy elements in and it makes my custom elite pirates imperials and pirate hunters pop. Nexo knights is cheap on the resale market and worth a look.

Nexo knights had a lot of great sets, I used to just go an buy like a 60€ set that was on a 50% discount from this great toy store that always had something at a discounted price, It's a real shame the store went bankrupt a few years ago, as there aren't many dedicated toy stores left in my country

I remember getting Lance's horse back in the day. It was the coolest thing to play with! I want to rebuild it just to do the transformation feature again. Later on I got even more Nexo knights sets like Clay's rumble blade and that lava vehicle for Jestro. Wanted to get the fortrex, but my finances at the time couldn't afford a castle on wheels.

I grew up always reading the nexo knights comics in the Lego magazines and I played the video game back when it was on the app store, (rest in peace). I had the battle suit aaron and battle suit clay, so I wasn't the biggest fan of it, but recently i have binge watched the entire show, (which was decently hard to find) and I was not disappointed, however due to my recent Lego Minecraft purchases I have not had the cash to buy some more of the sets (which I aim to have one of each of) however I definitely do have plans to get them before season 5 comes out, due to a goal of 40 million dollars to make it.

But still its was a really good lego product, I almost had every set you can think of but the whole thing got canceled. So who knows when Ill finally finish the whole set. @@RobrickLego there are some apk files for the first version, though if you close it it will ask you to update, which you cant. So it’s a one shot wonder but it exists. No combos though. I saw another person recently do a tutorial on the newer versions but the link to his files isn’t there anymore so I’m waiting to see if he updates it again.

I rly liked some of the villain figs like Jestro, I think his figs were rly nice (i never got them tho). I have the merlok figure tho and he works rly well as just a normal wizard since the only ‘technology’ is hidden behind his beard, a usb hiding all his dark secrets and steamy images. I'm happy to say that I have a lot of Nexo Knight sets especially from the first wave. I think the minifigures are pretty fantastic, though the only problem is that the colours are all over the place, but ig it's alright.

Personally I prefer ninjago but nexo nights is amazing too the main aspect of it draws from ninjago in a way where the main characters have accessories that tie in to their power and season 3 of ninjago is one of if not my absolute favorite season of ninjago btw it’s a futuristic tech season like how nexo nights is like technology based and kinda futurey

I recently read a Ninjago reader insert story and the story eventually crossed over to Nexo Knights. Let's just say the knights and the ninja got their asses handed to them by Y/n because Y/n is extremely OP in the story.
