Also, the fact that Vegeta CONSTANTLY holds onto that Prince of All Sayians thing... King Vegeta really instilled some shit into Prince Vegeta's head. On Planet Vegeta. There's a whole MESS of psychology wrapped up behind that widow's peak.

It could also be seen as vegeta has such a complex it's easy to guess that he might have daddy issues or something. Also Cell seems to have a lot of info about stuff he wasn't born yet for. Im assuming it's engrained into him somehow?

Simplest way to break it down; Cyborgs; a human being with robotic parts or aspects like Robocop. Androids; a robot or artificial lifeform that appears or acts human like the Terminator.

The terminator is technically a cyborg, since the flesh and skin is real. It could technically be an Android if it’s just the endoskeleton, but if we’re talking about when he’s looking like Arnold, definitely a Cyborg.

So it doesn't matter how the being in question came to be or how much the ratio is, if its make up consist of both organic and mechanical parts, its a cyborg. A better example of an android would be the synths from the Alien movies.

FYI as far as I know they are only called androids in the english dub and actually they don't call each other "Cyborg xx" but rather just "C xx". And to be honest to most of us it is quite funny how you call them androids despite them *literally* not being that just because it sounds cool and that's also directly the aspect that tfs made fun of multiple times. Me coming from the german dub but knowing the english one made me seriously laugh at when Goku had to summarize the info from Trunks and only said "Hey guys...ANDROIDS!!!"

@@KraZKris2000 Nope, the Kai theme is called Dragon Soul. Not sure where you ever got the idea that it was the GT theme. It doesn't even start out the same way. The bit before the lyrics is about twice as long in the GT theme as it is in Dragon Soul, and the first two words of the japanese Dragon Soul are 'dokkan dokkan', as opposed to 'dan dan'.

I think that cell knows everyone's history of fighting and their technics due to Dr. G investigating that information and providing it. So in the abridged series they made the next logical step to explore their trauma and weaknesses. If you think about it people are always talking about Vegeta and hit complex relationship with his parents so probably using previous jokes they figured it would be fine to extract from that. It you think about it Cell is also emotionally like the Z fighters and acts like different versions of themselves depending on the situation. Be it playful like goku or prideful as vegeta.

Vegeta disliked his father probably in original too. But the line does sound weird: "I guess your father was right about you..." What? What did King Vegeta thought of his son that is stored in Cell's DNA memory? We actually don't know much about father-son relationship. King Vegeta knew his son was a prodigy, but just like the lioness throwing her cubs off the cliff he constantly let kid Vegeta battle on foreign planets to get stronger. But as far as we know he had no reason to think bad of his son, let alone a failure. Vegeta had even a great deal of love for him. Frieza of all people told that to Goku. So yes any mention of his dad triggers Vegeta. But the joke on itself makes no sense. O_O

You guys should REALLY look up on RU-vid the first Time Gohan went Super Saiyan! It is actually really powerfully dramatic. Goku keeps telling him the power to become a Super Saiyan comes from a NEED not a desire, then Gohan actually tells Goku to come at him at full power saying “It’s all or nothing, there is no in between” as an 11 year old at the time it really motivated me in life.

Short answer; No, just no. That is certainly not a thing. Long (Still very short) answer; Yes, but not memory as in information as we know it. There are a few ways that your body stores memories other than the brain. One is your immune system with antibodies, also known as vaccination in medicine. Similarily stem-cells can keep damage control systems active, even after the offensive material has been removed. Either way, passing on information about someone's dead father through cells is still impossible. -Bachelor's in Biotechnology.

The bad father is kinda just a running joke in the show. Piccolo, Trunks, Vegeta, Cell, Freeza maybe and Gohan all have "bad" fathers. Goku as a father is more played for laughs in how he constantly leaves and Piccolo ends up acting as a father to Gohan. Cell's parents include a bunch of people from this list. So its mostly played for laughs.

It is a great episode. Some fun fact context from the real show. Gohan was the one who demanded that Goku power up and hit him with everything he had. He had become angry with himself and figured he'd either do it or die. Goku knew the stakes and finally agreed to it. Gohan thought about how often he had let others get hurt or how they always had to save him. That's what pushed him over, him shaking at the end was just how incredibly angry with himself he was. Goku is actually trying to calm him down when he's talking to him. A great father, son moment in the real show. This show still only gets better!

I assume the DNA came with knowledge since he knows all their techniques. Being part of their DNA doesn’t give you access to techniques and martial arts that they spent years training on. So I have to assume he has their memories as well.

1. Cell doesn't just have everyone's DNA, he has all available information on them because of Gero's bug that had been collecting it for years. Its slightly outdated cause of Namek but it checks out. 2. 17 and 18 are cyborgs- technologocally enhanced humans. Whereas 16 is an actual android - a robot made to look like a human, in this case, like Gero's son who was killed decades ago 3. Yeah, the Final Flash would have absolutely killed Cell if he hadn't jumped out of the way. The problem is that the Final Flash is all of Vegeta's power stored into one beam. Its an attack meant for a single statiary target, ,not an attack that's meant to be actually effective in combat

Cell didn't jump out of the way, vegeta challenged him to take it and cell accepted. However, vegeta did direct the blast off planet so he wouldn't destroy earth.

It’s not a power or knowledge of King Vegeta or anything. It’s just basic psychology. Vegeta comes off as someone with a lot to prove (probably stemming from familial issues), and Cell was just trying to get under his skin.

You can also explain Cell knowing about Vegita's father by the fact that Cell is partially comprised of Vegita's DNA. I'm pretty sure it's a plot point at some point in the OG DBZ that cell knows about everyone who comprises him as if he was them.

I think Cell's dna actually *does* come with knowledge. Remember that all of the named techniques - the Kamehameha, Special Beam Cannon, Solar Flare - are all *taught* and not naturally learned. So it stands to reason that if he knew about them, that he'd know about at least some events that happened before he was born.

That *_is_* what Vegeta would insist on. And even with Trunks waiting until his father was about to die, Vegeta would throw a fit about it if he knew. You *_just can't win_* with Vegeta. If (he thinks) you're weaker than him? He's an insufferable asshole, lording it over you. You're as strong as Vegeta? He won't rest until he can prove he's stronger than you, and he'll make you miserable with all the posturing and insults. You're stronger than Vegeta but don't let him know? See above. You're stronger than him and he knows it? *_He hates you_* because of his massive inferiority complex. End!DBZ!Vegeta is better because of how horribly he's humbled in the Buu arc, but before then, he's got a chip on his shoulder so big that no amount of guacamole in the universe is enough for it.

An android is a fully robotic being, that is modeled after human form. A great example of an android would be C3PO, where as R2D2 is a robot.
