i caught someone trying to do this. i knew they were trying to and so i sent them fakes. afterwards they threatened to send it to friends and family. so i exposed their entire profile. i got their email AND their account history. i wanted to know how to file a report
There is an entire sub reddit dedicated to helping victims and providing support. I would do some research over there to get the fuller understanding. Hope that helps!
They almost never do. There was a reddit poll for around 5% on the sextortion sub reddit that gives a lot of detail. If you're a victim...take three big breaths and check out the sub reddit. There is hope after the scam! :)

They will say they have proof but rarely send it out. They are trying to scare you into giving money. The best course of action is to block them and they will move to other folks

@@raedenreyes8030 in a majority of the cases that are documented they do not. They will take screenshots and make you THINK they will, but only a very small percentage (like, 1%) have. Block them and you should be safe! Sorry you’re going through this. :)
Don't pay them any more money and just block them. They will threaten to leak your pictures but rarely do. Completely disconnecting will be your best bet to move on!

@@basketballer6085 count your first batch of money as a loss and block all connection with them. Take a look at my other videos on the nervous system to help get your body out of the fear response. In essence, when we feel like something bad will happen we get anxious and don't know how to handle that uncomfortable feeling. You got this and you're out now! Block them and keep blocking them :)

I got something way better, if a scammer is stupid enough to engage everything online, drive straight up to the police and let the scammer talk directly to the police, the police will pretend like they are you just long enough to get his location,and to hack his computer camera😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 problem solved.
@@willmartinez7383 in virtually every case they don’t actually release the content. They will make you feel scared that they will, but their sole motivator is to get money from you. They lose any and all leverage if they release the pictures. Block them and keep blocking them, they’ll move to a different target

They haven’t shared it yet. However they did something even worse they put on the photo that I had raped a girl and I Have proof their messages. And the worse thing is I sent them my instagram and they actually do have their info. They can indeed send it the people I know cuz I gave this person my trust and they done this to me.

what happens if they actually got some of my passwords? i did change allot of them and rn they havent found the new one. what i wanna know is that they found some of my old passwords, could that be a sign that they are telling the truth? only one email had a similar password that was actually incorrect due to adding 3 digits instead of 2 at the end. so idk but im still sure that its just a scam and nothing else.

This is a lie the scammer asked for my instagram before I knew it was a scam and the threatened to send it to all of my family, teachers, and friends that were on instagram so quickly I private fall my accounts so they couldn’t see my followers there go they couldn’t find the people but before that the pictures got sent to 2 cousins 6 friends and 1 teacher and I might loose a scholarship over this so idk I’ll update when something happens (update) the Family members got the message request but denied it so I’m good there the teacher also denied the request but I’m still not sure abt the friends
