***** Definition: Argumenting is a form of discussing or deabating in which disagreement is expressed, attempting to persuade someone of something, by giving reasons for accepting a particular conclusion. The general structure of an A is that of premises (typically in the form of propositions, statements or sentences) in support of a claim: the conclusion. A can be supported deduction (providing a gurantee of the truth of the conclusion) or induction (providing proof or reasons supporting the probable truth of the conclusion). The standards and criteria used in evaluating arguments and their forms of reasoning are studied in logic. Ways of effectively formulating arguments are studied in rhetoric.
+Rock Greatest I really like watching him speak. He has this giant neck and head, and then these little shoulders, little arms, and a little chest. I know I'm being mean, but it really is funny to watch.
Phillip H Anselmo as a user pic. That's awesome dude!! Phil himself said that Slipknot is one of the most brutal bands to see live and that he digs them...!!!
Ideas for Corey's next book(s): "My Music Is Better Than Yours: Why Pop Music Should Be Flushed Down the Toilet" or "You Listen to Slayer and You Love it! Why I Refuse to Abuse My Kids with Pop Music"
+COG Channel (COGchannel) You'd be surprised how popular our comedy is all around the world. I think it just works in a way that really speaks to some people. It's more true to life I suppose, it's often pretty cruel and dry on the surface in that our comedy is generally structured around misery and failure, but it's the fact that it's just an inch away from tragedy that makes it so relatable. I think Stephen Fry summed it up pretty well once when he said that British humour is different to American humour in that American comedy tends to have happy endings where the main character falls in love and gets what it was they set out to get, while British comedy tends to have less uplifting conclusions, and the main character generally goes through a lot of absurdity and hardship, only to either completely fail, or wind up pretty much where they started in the end. The British sense of humour focuses less on seeing the characters get what they set out for, and more on how wrong things can go for them.
what sarcasm? that ain’t british humor lmao why do y’all try so hard to claim that, everyone is sarcastic sometimes lots in america😂😂you’re sIow as fuck
The guy doing the interview, Gruhamed, was just as awesome as his guest. It's always so refreshing when the interviewer does his homework and is a fan.
3:03 I agree. That's why I love guys like George Carlin, Lewis Black, Bill Maher, etc because even if you take away all the funny parts you'd still be informed.
hell yeah, bill hicks and lewis black are my favorite.. George carlin too, although sometimes I find myself questioning his old fashionedness(listen to his rant about backwards hats and clothes, your kinda like come on man, clothes don't matter...) but a lot of what carlin said is absolutely brilliant, so he gets a pass... RIP to both Carlin and HIcks btw!
This is what it would be like "ITS 50 FUCKING DEGREES AND SNOWING ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!! I HAVE PLACES TO BE! MOTHER NATURES MOM SHOULD HAVE HAD A FUCKING ABORTION!!!" XD
Sujan Pak I don't really know how to describe it. Basically, he talks about random stuff and things that happened to him related to said stuff. With humour
Corey Taylor is my fav singer maybe if all time because he is extremely talented came from nothing to something almost killing himself on many occasions and he had drinking problems but he cleared all that up and he is a good person now and he will speak his mind he isn't afraid to say the truth he knows the consequences and are willing to take them and he is a funny ass dude and imo he should be a comedian and the masks are my fav part and they have meaning and him and slipknot have created something special with their 9 different band members every member has a different mask with a different personality one of my fav bands of all time he also is so talented he is in two bands at once and he got over the loss of Paul gray he is one of the most influential people in my lives he is very intelligent, funny, musically talented, and slipknot always has a album for every mood right now especially with depression slipknot and machine head are helping me get through it
-Corey Taylor in the interview: The Seven Deadly Sins book is about the sins and how they pertain to everyday life. -Corey Taylor in the book: I was in a tub and about to get pissed on by some hot chicks!
I read 'You're Making Me Hate You' holy shit it's a great read, felt like I was reading a book written an older, more pissed off version of myself lol Corey is a fucking amazing author
Damn I absolutely have to read Corey's new book based on what he briefly discussed in this interview, because regardless of the fact that I'm only 24 years old, I literally feel as if I'm a 37 year old man trapped in a young man's body, and there so many things that people i general do - especially people from my generation and younger - that drive me insane and make me fucking hate them! It's such a relief when you find other people that strongly agree, which is something he mentioned. Most of all though, it provides me with reassurance that I am in fact a little more sane (to a degree,) along with being able to rationalize my reasoning with the people that express similar viewpoints...
Adam L I really agree with you. I have the problem that I am only twelve years old yet I feel way older. This is absolutely horrible. I feel more sane (as you described) than my mother. When I listen to Corey I can highly agree to him. Witch made me a lot happier. But I know the struggle. Sorry for any mistakes I am European.
I was at Books A Million one day skimming through books like usual and I actually read parts of it. I'm not a fan of Slipknot at all but I was really impressed. He basically takes things and weird life experiences and gives his outlook on them in a hilarious way. There were some parts that I couldn't find believable and others that had me laughing historically. I definitely recommend it for people.
I used to love "The Young Ones"!!! Any time I'd bring that show up to people no one would know wtf I was talking about!!! But any way I loooove Corey Taylor♥😜😍 and Slipknot/Stone Sour!!! Also seen them live & they were fucking awesome!!!
When he says the point, that he want us to think something like: oh, thats funnny, but he is actually right. Reminds me on Series like simpsons, where it should work exactly like this, but the MOST people laugh and thats it. Its a masterpiece of an example, that something like that only happens, because corey taylor ist fame and not, because the MOST people, who read this book or hear this interview really think about the deeper meaning
I have this Masterpiece ;) Only 2 chapters in And let me tell you! Its bloody good I totally recommend it To Anyone who loves humor and people nagging about this generation! Chapters are 1: Just Before The Storm 2: Fucked in public 3: Flight Of The Dumbkoff's 4:Dysfunction Over Fashion 5:Driving Me Crazy 6:Money-Well.....Spent 7:Get Along, Little Doggies 8:Children Of Clods 9:What The Fuck Is That Noise? 10:Hello, Pot- I'm Kettle 11: After The Bastards Go Home And That's it hope you have fun reading this bloody good book!!!
Corey's book is a great read. Yeah you do laugh your balls off, but it DOES make you say " yeah I hate that shit too. " I can see him doing a remake of The Young Ones.
Corey looks like fucking freddy krueger when . He wears his .% The Gray Chapter . And when hes bald yet either way he is still amazing, keep up the work Corey!
I have been a Slipknot fan since day 1. The fact that Corey is a fairly intelligent person and can speak well makes him being in a wicked metal band all the more entertaining. What I am afraid of is that Corey is starting to become the new Gene Simmons. He has an opinion about EVERYTHING and trips over himself getting to a camera or microphone to do an interview. Other non famous people have opinions as well only we don't have the platform to puke them out to everyone. If he keeps down this road where his opinion about people, music etc etc is the ONLY correct one in his mind......people WILL turn on him eventually.....Look at Simmons. The man is a walking joke.
Is this book will be translated in any language ? I'm French and I'm fine with english but I would only buy it if I could read it in my language (so I also could give this to read to some of my friends and family :p )
I feel like if you looked at a picture of Corey Taylor from the neck up, you'd think he'd be a fucking ripped bodybuilder or something. But then you see the rest of him and it's like a 12 year old boy's body
I ordered this book n house of gold and bones I can't wait to read it this one, got myself seven deadly sins (reading it) and a funny thing happened on away to heaven
COREY! If you see this ( a chance of one to 999999999999999999999) go and search stalaggh/gulaggh and watch and album and comment down: "still better than pop" if corey doesn't you guys do! That music is literally how hell sounds like
