To see a man in his 90 so aware, intelligent, up to date to what happens in the world and lucid to understand what the truth is, it is amazing. Whereas in Ukraine, veterans of the Second World War are persecuted, they are not allowed and are arrested if they go out on Victory Day to honor the fallen and the victory over fascism. As a scholar of the second world war, I am proud to stand behind the veterans of Normandy and the soldiers of Ukraine. The past and the future are brought together in the present. may their memory shine always.

The USSR did a deal with the Nazis and invaded and occupied Poland with the Nazis. Russia ( the USSR) only fought the Nazis because the Nazis attacked them. Ветеранам ВОВ в Украине запретили даже выйти на праздник победы 9 мая. Ветеранов разгоняла полиция, выкидывали цветы от памятников. А тут такие обнимашки, вы мой герой. Лицемерие в высшей степени. И вообще , почему Зеленский был приглашен? Кого он представлял ? СССР? Так в СССР было 15 республик , почему не были приглашены они? Зато был Шольц, чей дед воевал в СС.
