My parents are very similar to her parents and I’m 22 now and I have no real relationship with my parents. I feel uncomfortable hugging them and I don’t like to be around them. I wish we had a closer relationship and I even get jealous of my friends because I’ve never been able to talk to my parents or get advice from them like normal families.
