What an exceptional good fold the KK hand is. Given positions and ranges I think its a totally fine fold. I think the worst played hand is the 52dd around 1:01:00. Turn bet is thin and river bet is absolutely too thin.
I dont know man he also could have 22, 1010 or K10. There are not so many flush combos. AQspade, QJ spade, A10 spade maybe Q9 and J9 spade also. You getting 3.5 to 1.
K10? Why would he shove K10? He wouldn’t shove any hand for value thats worse than KK imo. Pretty hard to find bluffs too, but maybe i’m not looking hard enough..
@@jayyobeifaiso I’m just a funplayer telling my thougts too. :) Yeah maybe he does play those hands the same, but still, no point shoving for value unless he is also calling your shove with those hands, which i dont think you can expect..
@@nardinit Yes. That spot is rarely ever going to come up again. His opponent just doesn't have many bluffs, if any in that spot in that specific dynamic. I mean don't take my word for it, Lex said it, and his opinion is rooted into more experience than us. So be humble and take notes.
It depends a lot from player to player you have against. He got beated a few hands before, he could have even be tilted. Against a solid in the long run it's a bad call.
In case that KK fold is well played I don’t understand why would you not check back the river, betting only makes sense if you are able to call every raise IMO (looking at the pot size and his stack)
hey just a quick question about the AA hand at the beginning of the tourney around 3:30 why did you not raise the river the only hand that beats you is QQ the board was relatively dry and its unlikely he he has a 5 or A4 just a call on the river just seems a bit to nitty maybe im wrong. could you explain why you just called?
He doesnt get to the river with AJ AQ after 2/3 bet on the turn and guy in the chat said he ha 10,5 spade spade , without that info A.10 is his only possible bluff.
hi Lex...good Job...one question...how many bb / 100 do you need to have on pt4 in the various positions to be a winner? to crush level in mtt...from SB to BTN...ty
"The hand I had was KK" "I barrel flop, I barrel turn, thin on the river" "But I see a raise, raise, raise, and I got to make that fold, fold fold.....
I flopped a set in the 5k Shit but this guy got a flush These flops really never go my way, The only thing i flush is my bankroll Call me a funplayer do it for the lol
I would've never folded but I'm also not a pro and am gonna trust your opinion on anything lmfao. Good fold :D I learned a lot from that fold and the discussion after
On the KK hand surely he can also have A4 & A5 of spades as well? I'm far from a poker pro, especially from online tournaments, but couldn't JQ with a spade be a feasible bluff? Blocking QX or JX spades, have an up and down straight draw and if you miss and it comes off a flush, you could jam as a bluff, knowing he'll fold basically everything, even possibly some low flushes? Though I guess it may work better as a turn jam to balance your sets? Think he would have had it though.
@@Mbougie yeah good point actually. I didn’t think that far back when I was saying that. Just came to me when I was saying about A4, A5 spades. Really is hard to find a bluff.
you bet 1100 he jam 2800 and pot is 1910.... with top set? ONLY LOSE TO RUNNER RUNNER SPADES? its takig you what? 20% of stack for chace to win 700k pot? That was mistake... that wasnt OPTIMAL
IMO in theory it is 100% call giving the odds, but in reality i guess it is really player dependent and I believe thisi s kinda underbluffed spot, especially when villian it is not supposed to have many ofsuited Aces, litterely just AJ/AQ and probably not the all combos, so its really hard to find a good bluffs OTR on the other hand he really has a good amount of flushes JT/JQ/QT/Q9/T9/T8 could have A9/A8/A2/A3/A6 + mayhbe AQ/AJ/A4/A5 at some lil frequency and ofc Lex has even more. If we add that the villian is risking his tournament life + he is a very good reg, but it is still 5kBI it could be a good fold
Every hand you hit your top pair or you are always connected somehow.playing 10 years in pokerstars and this happens only the first day after your deposit..EASY POKER GAME LEX GG.
Mirracle Said he has the Queen high flush, so it was a good fold, the mistake for me was to make that bet in the river, but whitout that bet would be more dificult to fold the three kings I guess...
thats the worst fold ive prolly EVER seen in my life - "OFC hes calling with "THE PERFECT HAND QJss" on the flop. I give that guy 777 or maximum AK - but not a flush - he had so much stack behind and folded that - so bad - right? XD hahahahahahahaha
Nice fold in the long term. The only gangsta hand possible was holding the ace of spades by the opponent to block the nuts but due to the action flop turn river is really polarized.
Do you even read the comments @LexVeldhuis ?Where did you study to improve your game? I can’t afford coaching right now. I’m a pretty decent player but my bankroll is low stakes and I need some free/cheap suggestions on how to improve my game to move up in stakes and become a consistent winner. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Dunno
so u risked 761k on 79 suited to get 500 k pot great bluff had no choice there.. more and more m watching kings hand m getting more confused he could have QJ JT in his small blind but for 170k more folding a set not getting it, still its like giving his hand too much credit when we have already invested this much!!! so if you r ready for folding his shove then y not just checking it????
He only have the suited combos of JT and QJ pre. On the turn he’s only calling JsTs and QsJs. And even if he calls all combos of JTs and QJs on the turn he wouldn’t (or should’t at least) checkraise bluff on the river, not having a spade blocker.
You don't check it because you still want to get value from the hands you beat . You check and lose you still lose. Yeah you have slightly more chips but you don't accumulate any more chips. This is a mistake a lot of players make , not value betting non nutted hands. You can make the tough fold if he goes all in. Given Lexs line of strength throughout the hand I don't see that ever ever being a bluff shove on the river.
What is he calling two barrels with? AQ i dont think so if he is not on AQ spades so not going to call there two barrels with AQo. He doesnt had a king just for card removal and if he did he would just call. The only thing he could be done that with a bluff is maybe QJ... cause Tx i think is going to call you too cause Tx has enough value on the river if he puts you on a bluff. So.... i think it was a good fold. He is never raising there with a weaker hand than yours....
Hey Lex. Been a fan since legendary 5 bluffs in a row WSOP ME :D Recently came back to poker, probably a lot changed and my question is - why no HUD anymore? Is it illegal now? All the best bro!
His opponent really has no bluffing hands--- Could have some As x but given the stack depth of lex it is extremely hard to bluff in that spot. My guess he had ATs.
And then shoves KQ pre for 20+ big blinds . Man, I've been a player for 30 years and I got to say, I f cking hated both plays. I don't care how anybody justifies it. Especially the 20+ shove pre.
And just because it’s profitable to shove there doesn’t neccicarily mean every other action is wrong. Calling, 3betting small/large and shoving can all be profitable and more reasonable given the situation..
@@marcmarc7504 You must have learned a lot through the years with that mindset of "i'm not even gonna care how anyone justifies it, its just a bad play". Google Dunning Kruger effect, might ring a little bell... Funny thing is that is exactly the type of thinking that keeps losers from winning in poker usually, but if you want to claim you're the exception to this (rocksolid) rule, be my guest.
