Very interesting....changed my perception of Tournament strategy....I was making the same kind of mistakes as pointed out ...loose in the beginning and going on very conservative survival mode at the later stages...thanks for the great insight...
Great video, but there are also point to play pretty aggressively at the start. There are players who bet 6-8 bb then they have a monster, AA, KK, AK and similar, so it is pretty valuable to call with small pairs, hit and start betting right away. They almost never fold, especially with AK then A or K on the flop and some irrelevant 2 .)
Hey Steve - yup totally agree there's definitely an opportunity against predictable players early on. Just make sure that you have enough stack depth to make those calls and be aware you're taking the worst of it when entering the pot with a worst hand so need the implied odds to compensate. If you can find players who make these kind of transparent raises preflop but then also give up too easily on scary board then they can be very profitable. Good luck

@@apat I really did good on other tournaments. Played one 250$ buy in turbo in Venetian on 31st finish 2nd for 5897$ and played 400$ buy in deepstack on 1/04/21 end up 5 way equal chop for 11.6 k each. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😇😇😇
I've ramped up my aggression later in MTT's with good results. This past weekend saw me run face first into the dark side of variance but I'm happy with my plays. Can't win a tournament if you aren't winning 85/15 spots, multiple times. So, I had some bad bust outs but I set myself up to win and that's what matters.
