My dad was in Korea and Vietnam 1950-1953 then 1965-1968. He told me everything when i in listed in the Marines. This sounds like the Philippines, Malaya. During the up rising 1987. That was fun. Brings back memories. I was tied into a Banana tree and my my sniper rifle was around my chest so it wouldn't fall 60 or 70 feet down to the ground. I had my M-24 bolt action Browning 300 grain magnum. It had a Leapold scope on it 4.5x55 mm lens. I watched one , EARLY, a squad of Marines PATROLLING 10 clicks from base in a rise paddy. Then i pan over to my left and i see at least a platoon of Gorillas walking in the opposite direction. They were 100 yards apart. They were in a different paddy. I was like NO FUCKING WAY! THEY PASSED EACH OTHER. IT WAS RAINING AND THUNDERING. GOD WAS WATCHING OVER BOTH UNITS THAT MORNING! I REMEMBER WATCHING THE SAME THING IN A WAR MOVIE. THE LONGEST DAY. GIS WALKING ON A HEDGE ROLL GOING ONE WAY AND THE GERMANS GOING THE OTHER LOOKING UP AT THE PLANES DROPPING BOMBS HAD THEY LOOKED TO THE LEFT OR RIGHT. I TOLD MY BUDDIES THAT WHEN I GOT BACK TO BASE. THEY ALL LOOKED WHITE! I GO HELL NO NOT YOU GUYS! LANCE CORPORAL DOBBSON SAID THAT WAS US WITH GUNNY ERICKSON. MY MOUTH DROPPED. MY BUDDY RICKY GOES AND DONDON AT THSAME TIME! ITS A DAM GOOD THING YOU DIDN'T START SHOOTING?!!! I GO I WAS ON A DIFFERENT MISSION. LOL.
