Thank you, Chris. As someone who has just switched from Things to Apple Reminders in the search for something simpler, I found this very helpful. Clear and concise, as tutorials should be!

I’m glad the shift to Apple Reminders is going well for you! What made you decide to shift away from things?

I did the same thing a few months back. Things is definitely more organised from the start but some features like location-based reminders or quickly adding a link from a website etc. to a reminder is just gold. Plus, the syncing via iCloud is way better than Things Cloud and the lack of syncing in the background.

This was great Chris! I actually use Reminders all the time but I've never taken the time to learn how the smart lists work...this was very helpful for me though and I will definitely be using them!

Just superb! Helped me get started in a better way with Reminders. Easy to be confused at first. Please keep doing these presentations, Chris. The length and amount of info in one session are just nicely balanced.

I really appreciate the explanation in your video. I searched for other videos but didn't understand them, so I tried other apps but didn't like them. Suddenly, I found your video, and now I understand the topic well. Great explanation! More power to you, and I hope your RU-vid channel grows quickly.

Great video thanks. Is there any way to create a smart list that just shows me all tasks from the current running week, from Monday to Friday.
@chriscardoso
@chriscardoso 9 месяцев назад
I actually have not been able to figure that out. There might be a way to use the Shortcuts app to alter the relative date settings of a Smart List in Reminders but I haven’t explored that. I would love to do what you mentioned - have a list of my Monday - Friday tasks. Thanks for watching!

Is there a way to set a repeating task that may not repeat on exactly the same day? Homework for most classes is generally due on the same day but exams fall on different days of the week. It'd be neat if we could put in something like "chemistry exam on X, Y and Z days" or something like that, if that makes sense. @@chriscardoso

Excellent video. Do you know how much data can be stored in the Reminders app? For example, it possible to have 10 GB of data stored in the app and it still work and without lagging? I use it often for work.
@chriscardoso
@chriscardoso 9 месяцев назад
10 GBs would be a TON of data, but you can definitely do it with your iCloud storage without it causing your device to lag. What kind of data are you typically storing in reminders?
@TJ-22
@TJ-22 9 месяцев назад
@@chriscardoso The data consists of work projects with timelines, along with attachments, such as important documents, and images. Additionally, several of my reminders would probably be better served in the Notes app. I have since discovered that “part of a note” can be converted to a reminder, in the Reminders app; however, I have yet to figure out how to copy those applicable reminders from the Reminders app to the Notes app. In addition to that, I use the typical reminders/list, such as reminder to take out the trash, grocery list, etc.
@TJ-22
@TJ-22 9 месяцев назад
@@chriscardoso Just to clarify… I did previously figure out how to drop a note from the Reminders app to the Notes app. Although, I have not figured out how to drop the note with the attachments included.

1:55 can you do the same thing or similar with google chrome or firefox? don't really like using the safari web browser.
@chriscardoso

You can always take a link from chrome or Firefox and paste it into reminders, but they don’t have a native share like safari!
