I just got rid of everything except for pinned collections, and then pared that down to albums, recently deleted, and hidden. Much, much better. The only problem is that you can't make pinned collections take up more than 2/3rds of width of the screen on the ipad so you're left with a bunch of black space.
Yup, the iPad version of the photos app is really odd. It’s strange that some sections take up the full width and others are stuck as half width. I wish that was customizable. Thanks for watching!
I was also kind of disappointed with the changes to Photos. It is just _too much_ visual clutter. Thankfully we can remove most of it but it still isn't as clean as it was before. Felt like they redesigned it because they couldn't think of anything else to do with it.

Yup, I agree that Apple seriously dropped the ball here. The new Photos app is a user experience disgrace. But thank you for these tips for making it at least somewhat tolerable.
So frustrating! I put all the reminders in on my phone, they show up on the phone calendar but not on my MacBook or on the iCloud calendar. I can't figure this out...
for some reason its saying unable to connect, my macbook is an air with a m1 2020 vesions, and i have an iphone 12 mini, all up to date with the software updates, and connected to same internet plus with blutooth on, im confused
Apple has a great article for trouble shooting. Do you have a firewall or VPN that could be preventing it from connecting? You could always try to restart each device and log out/in to iCloud on each device.
I updated my MacBook & my phone. I set up iPhone mirroring with my iPhone 15 Pro. I now have a 16 Pro Max. I've tried resetting the mirroring app & everything. I disconnected it on my 15 & it still keeps trying to connect to the 15 & won't recognize my 16. Any tips?
BAD ADVICE. You use APPLE NOTES, you are "S T U C K" with it. Try to export multiple notes from APPLE NOTES, try to work with the documents, like merging documents, or anything like that. Not possible to access the files, like md-files. You can ONLY do, what APPLE allows you to do. It is "ROTTON". Good for simple notes. Very bad to use as a longterm vault. I stay with OBSIDIAN. Just because it's "open" to anything, I want to do with my information later.
It unable to do it because I recently bought an iPhone 16 pro, but my Mac is asking me to update my original iPhone 11 (which I didn’t erase data on because I use it for certain things) to iOS 18. Is there any way to make it realise I want it to mirror my new phone and not my old phone?
That’s odd. I have not experienced that or been able to replicate that. Sorry. Perhaps try rebooting your phone and Mac to see if that solves the issue.
Sir, you saved my life!! My iPhone 12's screen was down, and the screen turned totally light green, making me impossible to see anything clearly. I went to the Apple Store tonight, and I realized that the repair costs 500 USD, which is too high. I bought a new one, but the delivery takes 2 or 3 days. I once used Xcode when learning C++, so I know the simulator which helps me simulate an iPhone. However, I cannot operate my own iPhone in that way. So, I'm looking for some remote control apps. Thanks very much for your video telling me about the wonderful new feature! I will upgrade macOS to 15.0 to try this!
I have grown to realize Apple Notes is the best solution for me. But some little things just irritate me about it. For example, why is there a folder icon next to the folders in the sidebar if there can only be folders in the sidebar? If I could see notes in the sidebar then that would make sense. But the only other two options are smart folders which aren't as commonly used and quick notes which are always at the top anyways. Also, why doesn't Apple Notes tell me how many notes are in a folder? It only tells me how many notes are in the immediate folder, but if I have another folder nested into that folder with notes, I won't be able to see the note count unless I am in the deeper folder.

I’ve been wanting this functionality for years!! Please tell me you can drag unscheduled reminders into a blank space in the calendar (ie, this is when I will get to this task), and it will update the day/time in both?
Unfortunately not. If you drag a reminder to the calendar it creates an event, not a reminder. I’d probably recommend scheduling your reminders for a specific day and then using the calendar to drag them to a specific time.
When scanning a document with your device, what DPI/PPI (dots per inch/pixels per inch) resolution does it automatically scan with? And can you change the DPI/PPI settings.
I'm using Nebo 6 on the Ipad. It uses folders in the collections area vs notebooks. Is there a way to move pages into a notebook like they show on the earlier versions where it was notebook-centered?
You can move notes within folders by clicking the three dots menu and selecting move note. Everything in Apple Notes is now folder driven, not notebook driven.

I was really hoping this would be the case, being able to operate solely from calendar without the need for reminders, however, not quite there yet to be able to ditch reminders 1. Capturing the reminder: if you ask siri to 'remind you to...at so and so time/day', that is still housed under the reminders app. And doesn't appear to be a way to create a shortcut for capturing a scheduled reminder with the calendar app alone. Additionally, if you're on apple watch, it appears that the calendar only allows for creating new events, not scheduled reminders. 2. Notification of the reminder: As far as I can tell from both iphone and apple watch (where one would receive most of their notifications), even if you have the 'scheduled reminders' shown in the calendar app, any notifications of scheduled reminders only come from the reminders app, nothing from calendar If you know of ways to account for the aforementioned issues, would love to see a video on that! Nice showcase! I discovered, that the beste feature for me is, that this extension can show me backlinks in Apple Notes. That was the key feature why I didn't switch away from Obsidian. Edit: The templates for notes are awesome, too.
