I thought that was so cute!! Every time I would try an get my dog doing something cute on camera she would turn around and become interested in something... so UP went the tail leaving the camera with a great view of her bottom... so lady like.

I was REALLY into make up but bc of all the :drama: that was happening in the "beauty industry" made me feel so sick of it honestly it became like KEEPING UP WITH THE MAKEUP GURUS instead of real make up videos. @@garythecat2459 Completely agree & can relate!! They're truly not relatable.. it was/is nothing but drama & constantly showing us the latest haul that was sent to them that they recommend. Constantly onto the next.. whereas the majority dont purchase every high end product or care about the stupid dramas they have. I unsubscribed to so many of them! Plus all their videos are literally the same. Hes a breath of fresh air! I've been watching him, Taylor Wynn (formerly ThaTaylaa), Zabrena, Wayne Goss & Annettes Makeup Corner..just to name a few that arent in the gossip & give REAL reviews & helpful tips! ☺️

In the short time I've followed you, you've already changed my game when it comes to under eye concealer, I always thought it was the formula that kept creasing and slipping and sliding around, turns out it was the way I was putting it on (too much). Holy crap! I’ve been using a lot of my makeup wrong. No wonder I look wonky whenever I apply makeup. I had pretty much accepted I am not good at makeup but these tips give me hope that i can look more refined and not like a 5 yr old laying with makeup. Thank you!

Omg me too! I've had such a hard time finding someone to teach me the basics. All the "gurus" just do first impressions and product reviews, which is great, but I need someone to literally tell me how to apply mascara! I'm about to binge watch this whole channel now that I've found it!
I always try to make it look like they are even. Eg use less dark eyeshadow on one eye to make it seem bigger so it looks as big as the other one or making the eyeliner on my bigger eye larger so it looks like it's the same size as the smaller one..
Find your crease using the socket of your eyeball and blend a transition shadow there. Itll even it out and then once you get this basic down, go crazy with whatever youd like!
You’re going to have to cheat your crease and put all your transition colors on your orbital bone. I correct my uneven eyelid space by cutting my crease and cheating how much lid I have on the side that has less.
Agree! I tried lashes got glue inside my eye which burned like heck and when I put the lashes it looked awful out of place and left glue bits all over my lid...yea I'll stick to mascara for now >.
Here’s a tip: size the lash (test it on your eye to see if you need to trim it). apply glue to the strip (if you’re doing a strip), let the glue get a little tacky, and use a pair of tweezers to apply. I like to place the lash directly in the middle first. You can do this while looking in a mirror, have your head tilted back a bit and your eyes cast down so you don’t have a wrinkled or creased eye lid. After you’ve placed the lash, use the tweezers to put the corners of the lash as close to the lash line as possible. Your false lashes might be tilted too far up so while it’s still tacky, push them downwards with the tweezers so they are flush with your natural lashes. Hope this helps!
I wish the fake lashes trend would end 😭😂 I bought a pair & struggled but finally got it (I kept trying to put them on immediately instead of letting glue get tacky. Also, I'd bought 2 separate kinds & one of them had a crappy band) I finally got it figured out & of course it does look pretty but I feel like unless for special occasions, I just felt so weird having them on lol but that's the beauty of makeup, its subjective. No rules in my opinion although technically that's kind of the opposite of the idea of this video 😄😄
I hate the way false lashes look on me. They look ridiculous, like a clown or something. I bought some Huda beauty Samantha lashes online (the description said they were a “natural” style rather than dramatic) and they were so ridiculously big and long with such a wide band. Plus I hate the way they feel.

I just discovered Robert as well and was pleasantly surprised. I ended up binging. He will be getting more subscribers no doubt, very soon, as people find him. Too many others are stuck on the "influencers" who are out marketing products while putting on makeup. I wish I had found this one sooner.

RU-vid recommended you today, and I’m not mad! I’m so impressed with you, that today I’m now binge watching your videos. I’m in my 40’s, and was a teenager in the crazy 80’s. So, as you’d imagine, my makeup skills are a bit basic. Magazines, friends, and makeup counters were all you had to reference from. I know I’ve got a lot more videos to watch, to catch-up, but I truly appreciate your approach. I’ve been watching RU-vid makeup channels the past few years, sometimes getting educated, but more times than not, entertained by the craziness of what people are doing (rectangle eyebrows, anyone? 🙄) I would suggest, like others, that you expand on your videos where you help real people improve. I know most of us would welcome your help, even with our photos. I think this is an area that will help separate you from the pack, because you most certainly have more to offer than most. Poor puppy didn’t realize today’s cameo would all the business. I laughed really hard when you used your hand to provide some cover. Unfortunately, many of these mistakes are being perpetrated by Instagram and RU-vid “gurus”. I say that because before the proliferation of instant videos most women just didn’t know any better. I love your practical tips. Beauty gurus got everyone wearing tons of concealer and powder everyday when they don't need it. I never see YT muas doing their mascara correctly. I'm always shouting zigzag zigzag 🤣
Finally, a MUA who actually uses concealer the way I was originally taught to use it and NOT the way RU-vid and Instagram says to use it! Not like I was ever gonna paint my face with concealer anyway! Very Good tips! Happy I found your channel
Where have you been on this makeup journey of mine?!? I came to RU-vid soon after my 50th birthday because I was tired of claiming “I’m just a lipstick and mascara girl” and I was ready to admit I just didn’t have a clue on how or what to do. I’m 56 now and I have made progress and hardly ever have “Clown Makeup Days” anymore. But the majority of the Beauty influencers and followers are applying our makeup the same way now and some of that way isn’t giving me the finish I want and I have been trying different things to get a different outcome. You are really keying in to some of the specific things giving me trouble! In my opinion, setting powder has messed my makeup up sometimes. Me and my skin are mature and ultra matte and cakey are not for me! I want plump, natural, healthy looking finish. I’m recently using a sponge to apply my undereye concealer and I’ve had some success. I’ve also set the lines in my undereye. I don’t “Bake”, and I’m so happy to hear you say a may not be necessary to set everywhere, I’ve been thinking about doing that but felt I was breaking the rules! Lol 😂

I can't recall how many times I have researched instructional videos for smokey eye or simply applying eye shadow and after watching him it finally clicked! I love how much you preach about using less concealer and less powder. I grew up in the late 80' & early 90's and the look back then was completely matte skin which was achieved using *lots* of powder. Now I'm 44 with aging dry skin. When I finally weaned myself off of concealer (I only use a tiny bit of Wet-n-wild peach cushion color corrector) and started using just the tiniest bit of powder only in my T-zone it was a complete game changer for me! Now my makeup finally looks like I want it to - like my skin but better. Thank you for these *actual* useful tips! 😘😘😘

You're great at explaning, and I'll definently change the way I apply mascara from now on A video I would love is how to create a cheap, quick, and light foundation routine. I'm one of the lucky people that has decent skin. Dark circles if I slept bad, a pimple if I'm stressed, and some redness round my nose. Not much to cover. But I like to feel pretty (I know I'm pretty without make up and blablabla) and I also like to sleep for as long as possible. I've tried loose powder foundation, but it just looks ... powdery. So yeah, that's something that I would love to get some tips on, and I don't think I'm alone (Sorry for any grammatical or spelling errors, I'm not a native english speaker and I should have gone to bed like an hour ago)

I think it’s different from a setting powder already, but I use a finishing powder lightly all over for a soft blurred look, it seems to help with shine and texture. But I don’t wear foundation, so I’m trying to cut down on the amount of colored powder I need to use first so it doesn’t look cakey while still cutting the shine from my sunscreen (because I find it odd looking when my jaw is shiny next to my neck which is matte). I use the Makeup Forever one.

Ever since I started watching your videos I do my concealer the way you say and omg it is way better and it last all day. I work 12 hour shifts and it looks great all day.

Aside from learning, my favorite thing about Robert’s videos is his amazing editing. It’s hysterical. The awkward cuts he puts in (like with the mascara wand or the puppy) make me giggle.
I have proven to myself trying to do my mascara like you said that I am wildly uncoordinated. 😳 But by just doing even the rolling motion alone I have gotten better results with my lashes, so I call that a win ✌️ thanks for everything you do Robert!!
So I've been BINGING your videos... Currently taking classes to become a MUA. My boyfriend is a photographer and I was wanting to become his MUA for shoots! We're currently covering color correcting in the classes.. and I was wondering if you could do a video going super in depth of color correctors and which products are good for a kit? the eyeliner trick really works. i used to be semi decent at eyeliner and then for a year straight was really bad at it and couldn't figure out why. doing eyeliner was always a gamble if i had a nice eyeshadow on. it makes so much sense to do it the way you explained because it goes with a persons individual eyeshape/lashes. my eyeliner hasn't looked this good in a long time

Omg thank you !!! I love your channel and I found you yesterday... but i have been watching you non stop lol. So I tried the whole baking thing and everytime I do it ruins my makeup! My under eyes looks so creased, textured and omg dry!! It looks so awful that I have to wipe all of it away and start over but skip the whole bake thing.
