When you use it more like an automatic scout rifle it becomes easier to conserve ammo. Pretty much 1 shots all red bars and just hip fire the tankier enemies

I use it MUCH more often in a single shot mode or light auto than just spraying the thing. Helps that I’m a big Touch of Malice fan. I only use the hipfire like a Fouth Horseman, right up in a boss or chanpion’s face. Onslaught seems unnecessary unless you’re really far from a champion or boss or something AND you can kill an add nearby. I’d rather take destabilizing now, which seems to work better on this gun than others. Subsistence will be good after the season, like you said. I’ve only run out of ammo once, with no reserve mods, so I’m not too worried about that “fix”, honestly. Like the rocket sidearms, you’re fine if you don’t waste ammo.

Yup, im with you here, I've been love Destabilizing rounds on this, onslaught might have more sex appeal but DR just gets it done.

@@gs8494 It’s funny because Destabilizing Rounds is routinely considered weaker than Voltshot or Incandescent, mostly because of the cooldown, radius, and having to kill 2+ enemies before it works, but it just doesn’t feel bad on the Choir. Maybe with the explosions plus the Radiolaria it makes it better. A lot of the time, I don’t even need to shoot the volatile enemies, whereas with, say, Elsie’s Rifle the enemies have time to scatter and now the explosions aren’t even hitting anything, you’re just hunting down stragglers for zero benefit. But yeah, Onslaught has just felt like a waste of ammo, though to be fair I haven’t used it in GMs where enemies are gonna take more shots (I was using 1K for the last week, of course 😂). I think the reload speed from Onslaught might be nice too once the artifact is gone, maybe even over Subsistence since you can quick reload and dump all 5 split shots without getting weird fractions back. It’s gonna come down to whether I can still use it in a controllable manner with Onslaught in ADS without losing shots, to then dump hipfire on the big boys. With Destabilizing, I’m already saving ammo and killing about as fast as I can aim and shoot the thing.

Hey you probably know but just wanted to put it out there. You need to be at least 7 meters away from your target for the hipfire shot to have enough room to break into the 5 shot spread otherwise you are not getting the full damage output of the hipfire shot.

Im sticking to Destabilizing. Lots of AoE synergies built into the weapon. Onslaught is great but once we're out of this season/episode and no longer have the Subsistence artifact perk as well as the Choir of One getting the reserve nerf I just don't realistically see using Onslaught when it's hipfire can do the job in against anything I need to DPS increase of Onslaught. The reload speed bump though is nice.

Love this gun . The Onslaught has been worth it . I have essentially the same build on the gun . And I’ve definitely been using it exactly as you suggested. I think even after the nerf this baby will be around for as long as this game lasts which is clearly up in the air

Wish the ammo was the only nerf to this but they said its damage is too high...I think it needs to have more damage then the buried bloodline at least or they might as well just scrap the dam thing completely...the damage should be this good if its the only of its kind anyways.

They didn’t communicate this well enough, I have been clarifying this to people. They are needing the damage it does with a divinity cage active, not the actual damage.

This gun is amazing! The only thing I don’t like is it basically takes up both special and primary weapon slots. Yeah you can run it with the call but when running double special the ammo economy is absolute crap. And then I don’t even need an actual primary weapon and just pick something to throw in there just in case I run out of ammo on the choir. Anybody like running anything in particular with choir of one?? Heavy i usually just use hammerhead.

I run a Demolist/Rampage Autumn Wind on Warlock and a Rangefinder/Adrenaline Junkie one on Hunter with the Pulse Rifle artifact mod on. Otherwise I'm running crafted Lost Signals w/ Auto Loading and One For All. If I have to struggle with Special Ammo economy, I'd rather use Lost Signal so I can stick and move and tick away at more enemies with a single round of ammo vs The Call. Either way I rarely hip fire Choir of One unless I'm surrounded, then it's basically my shotgun. Even during Bait & Switch DPS roatations I find myself ADSing it usually to conserve ammo just trying to get myself in the habit of conservation ahead of the ammo cap nerf.

I like running it with critical anomaly or deliverance. I almost never hipfire it, and instead just use a special ammo finder helmet mod. I find that I never run out of ammo except during some heavy spawns or trying to chunk multiple majors one after another. Since it has so much burst damage, it's basically my primary AND heavy weapon, so then I use an lmg just in case it runs out

Demo/adrenaline junkie Breachlight or a Slice/Hatchling Aisha’s Care, depending on range and champion types. With the Breachlight, I can do the grenade for unraveling/volatile fragment for barriers and use the volatile on the Choir. Unraveling works on the Aisha’s too, but then you don’t have anything for unstops. If there are no unstops, though, then it just comes down to range, and really the Choir has that covered as well. Having the pulse automatically handle ANY barrier without grenade shenanigans is nice, though, which frees me up to use slice and hatchling for cutting enemy damage or doing AOE. Pro Memoria, Scintillation, or Cataphract for heavy, all with bait and switch and some kind of ammo perk in the first slot (reconstruction, rewind rounds, and auto loading, respectively. Don’t have an envious Cataphract yet). Edge Transit or Hammerhead would be great as well. Depends on if you want volatile or unraveling with the grenade.

Actually, a yard is almost a meter as the meter is a bit longer by a few inches. As for the football field analogy, it gives us Americans a clearer visual. Also, not trying to be a duck.
