My only issue with armor is that I find annoying having to click to plate up like on mwz, I prefer like Cold War that u just run over it or have golden plates as a small ee, replacing the shield process of pick up the parts and build it

I honestly never understood the hate for armor plates or people claiming it made CW too easy. It is a COMPLETELY optional thing to use that isn't forced upon you. As long as u dont buy or pick up an armor vest, u arent forced to use armor; this way u can literally play with the old hit system, 3 hit down, 5 with jug. Same thing with perks, people complain that perks are too OP because there are upgrades or because u can have every perk, but you as the PLAYER gets to choose how u wanna play, u can choose to give urself a 4 perk limit. I truly love cold war for giving us the option to be OP if we want.

That argument is so disingenuous lmao “you don’t like these basic core features of the game? Well then don’t use them!”

I would push back against this... The game is designed with perks and armor in mind... They are far from optional in terms of design. Sure, semantics... But Gobblegums and Elixirs are far more optional than the core systems ... Just my thoughts!

You think Mario games are too easy? Just don’t grab any power ups. lol I’m by no means a modern zombies hater. Cold War is in my top 3 but the idea of not using the games functions just doesn’t make any sense when the game was balanced with them in mind. It’s not at all comparable to the old zombies games even if you choose to not buy armor or limit yourself to 4 perks when the zombies speed and damage is balanced around you having armor which most players likely will.
@lazypayday4476
@lazypayday4476 7 часов назад
I despise this argument no matter what form it takes because it always completely ignores the main criticism. Cold War (and as an extension B06) are designed around armor, you cannot simply ignore the mechanic because you dislike it. You will not get the BO3 and prior experience by ignoring armor because zombies are quite a bit more aggresive, there's more special enemies, no shield, etc. The game made the enemies significantly stronger to counter balance the strength given to the player. Lets take a look at another common criticism that is met with this response, that being people complaining about how you can start with any weapon you want, in a similar sense people like you respond with "just start with the 1911 only," which just ignores that the 1911 is actually usable, it ignores the complaint that being able to start with any weapon completely discourages ever swapping up outside of the WW because you can choose the attachments and power it up. Telling someone to limit themselves because they don't like a mechanic is not a solution at all, it'd just it frustrating in a difference sense.

I thinks that kinda the thing with newer games from long running series they make much easier but then that deviates from older players. The leaked modes if true would actually hopefully help both sides. I'm not even two years into being into zombies and I hate cw compared to the older games. Even if I die round 6, 10, 13 because I'm just like " I can do better then run it again" I can do an Easter egg solo. Mainly zetusbo, dead of the night, and alpha Omega which are all considered easier then some others. cw I could do ee's solo in a multiplayer lobby without ever asking the other players for help

Absolutely LOVE the point about how important failure is for learning, and how old Zombies minimizes those opportunities, I've never heard it articulated that way before but agree 100%! I'm still not fully convinced on armor, for the reasons you mentioned (the way that Zombies is a mode where you're *going* to take chip damage, and how it feels like they're solving a problem they created). But at the same time I wasn't the biggest fan of the shield, *again* for the reasons you mentioned, so I'm definitely with you in at least trying to give it a chance! Fantastic video!

7:26 This point on the punishing nature of zombies (training was used as the example) was often relieved by multiple get-out-of-jail wonder weapons, such as the wonderwaffe, thundergun, or wave gun, but that wasn’t fair on multiplayer users as these weapons were often limited to a single player. This was improved upon once again by widow’s wine in BO3, which would activate if trapped in a corner or caught by a straggler in a horde, and then improved even further in BO4 with winter’s wail, which no longer risked killed the final zombie and regenerated naturally without being bonded to the lethal grenade stock. It also existed naturally with the shield as you could turn away from the zombies to give yourself extra moments without damage to: swap to your wonder weapon, throw a monkey/tactical grenade, pop a gobblegum such as ABH or IPS. There were already so many preventative measures for this l, put in place prior to the introduction of armour, which have since been cast aside and replaced.
@heraldofwoe3686
@heraldofwoe3686 11 часов назад
I can't say i totally agree. A lot of these points are made glossing over the fact that we also had additional defensive perks like Widow's Wine, Winter's Wail, Dying Wish, Victorious Tortoise, along with specialist abilities and the fact that the shield was not only an defensive tool but an offensive one too. It would be just as easy to say, repurpose the salvage system from a secondary currency, into being what essentially armor plates are now to repair the shield in the go instead of doing it at the table. Not to mention the fact that players have dealt with three, four, sometimes five Margwas at one time. Same goes for Thrashers that are just as lethal. I'm sitting here thinking that alot of the things you're talking about that are damaging you, are enemies with ranged attacks. Disciples. Manglers. Mimics. Its not necessarily just the amount being spawned but the fact they all have ranged capabilities. Which was a complaint made specifically about Forsaken too. I think what the armor needs is more personality. BO3 and 4 did this by giving the shirllelds offensive capabilities and upgrade paths. Sometimes even qirks rhat interact with rhe map. Like ZNS where electric shield can help with the quest ir reduce prices on purchases. At the very least a new perk that can give armor more personality us un order

I understand what ur saying.. but even as u said - I also dislike spamming boss zombies. That's one thing I disliked about BO4, CW, and (assuming) BO6 as well. But I also think that it being a warzone mechanic is a valid criticism, because it really just takes away from Zombies being "unique". Back in the day, we had the shield and ofc that was also in MP.. but they "zombified" the mechanic into the gamemode. Each map had their own design for the shield and some even had diff mechanics (ie: rocket blast, soul shield, etc). You would NEVER see those mechanics in MP/WZ. But zombies had something special. Idk if that made sense, but that is my opinion at least. And also you touched upon how classic zombies is more punishing, which I do agree. And it really makes me realize how the demographic or gaming playerbase for COD has changed. Back in the day, we were ALL LEARNING with how punishing and unforgiving the game was. I was a little kid for crying out loud playing WAW, BO1, BO2, etc and I learned gradually how to get better even with how punishing the systems were. But now all of a sudden after CW - the game has to hand-hold people into "getting familiar" with the gameplay systems. I don't think it's a big issue... but it really just shows how the gaming scene and playerbase has changed.

I actually like the idea of manual plating, because it means I'd be able to store plates for certain situations. For example, I wouldn't want all my armor or even shield in the older games to break when I am training in a safe location, causing me to have no armor when going into a more dangerous area or a certain enemy or event is triggered, similar to WW2 Zombies with that armor system allowing for almost a risk/reward type system. I typed this before getting to the "Manual Plating" section of the video lol

The shield maneuver minigame is exactly why I like shield more than armor. Both give you more survivability, but the shield gives more skill expression with being able to choose when your "armor" takes damage or not. Also, I think the fact the shield variety being a thing exclusive to zombies was another thing that made it feel a little more unique to the other game modes, rather than having more copy and pasted mechanics from other modes. Not that the shield was perfect, but would be nice to focus more on learning skill expression than just general survivability from the start.

15:40 This can be solved with one simple addition. Adding drops that function for the shield just as the armour plates do for armour. It’s that easy. I agree that the workbench and carpenters being the only source of shield repair was tedious, however this issue did not require the complete system overhaul that we saw with CW. People forget that both armour and the shield was present in BO4. Which, whilst not perfect, was my favourite health/shield/armour system in all of COD zombies.
@Demising
@Demising 14 часов назад
I agree with a lot of your points, but I feel I should clarify some things so people are informed. 1) While Modern Warfare Zombies armor can be seen as additional health (as that armor needs to break first before you take health damage), the armor system in Black Ops Cold War / Vanguard / Black Ops 6 shouldn't be seen as that. It should be seen as the damage reduction tool it is. Armor in those games works as this: Tier 1 gives 45% damage reduction, Tier 2 gives 55% damage reduction, and Tier 3 gives 65% damage reduction. 2) Another thing to note is zombie damage does scale up per milestone, which you forgot to mention. In Black Ops Cold War, zombies did: 30 damage Rounds 1-10, 50 damage Rounds 11-30, 70 damage Rounds 31-55, and 90 damage Rounds 56+ In Black Ops 6, they tweaked some aspects about damage values, and now it's this 30 damage Rounds 1-10, 50 damage Rounds 11-30, 75 damage Rounds 31-45, and 90 damage Rounds 46+. We don't know if Treyarch decided to do a Vanguard situation where maxed out zombies deal 100 damage past Round 50, as Dennis only got to Round 50 (and the round milestone was at 51). So with that in mind, the whole 14 hit thing only makes sense if you were on Rounds 11-30 with Tier 3 Armor (11 hits with Tier 1). By Round 31 and 46, it's a 10 hit and 8 hit respectively. Also good to factor in that if armor breaks and you don't have any plates or aren't near plates, it's anywhere from a 9 hit down to a 3 hit down with Juggernog (5 hit to 2 hit down without). If zombies are anything like Black Ops 4 / Cold War / Vanguard / Modern Warfare Zombies where they also get more aggressive (and hit faster) the stronger they are, that armor is gonna go insanely fast. Between the whole "Armor vs Shield" thing, I also believe they both can work together, but with some tweaks to Armor. Instead of the 45%/55%/65%, they should knock every thing down by 10%. That way, with Tier 3 Armor, it's only: 14 / 23 / 34 / 41 damage you receive per damage scale, which means it's also an 11 / 7 / 5 / 4 hit without Juggernog, and a 18 / 11 / 8 / 7 hit with Juggernog (which let's be a real, you're not getting Tier 3 Armor before Round 11). A second thing they could do is have each plate only take 2 hits, meaning if you're fully plated, Armor is gone in 6 hits. It'll still be the 7 hit down past Round 46 no matter what, but if you don't plate up Round 31-45 would be a 7 hit down then, and Round 11-30 would be a 9 hit down versus what they would be if Armor didn't fully break in 6 hits. It would also incentivize the player to keep all their plates full as well. There are also other good Quality of Life stuff Treyarch is doing with Black Ops 6 Zombies, like one of them being only 3 self-revives per solo match, which does limit how often you can fail.

I agree with a lot of things that you said about the armor. But one question that you brought up caught my attention: "How can they do this with the old health system and make it as intense?" (about the boss fight in mw3) The spam of elite enemies in Tier 5 was lame, as you said. Not only that, but frustrating and awfully designed. And for me, that's not intense in a good way, just not enjoyable at all. Because they did that same spam in the entity boss fight. I think in classical zombies this was more metodically thought, because you can't take as many hits. In my opinion that is what makes the game more interesting and challenging. They put more thought on what could harm you, and how things could harm you (mecanically speaking).

In my personal opinion, the challenge of one enemy that can kill you easily if you're not careful produces a thrilling challenge. When multiple are there, you are in pure panic-mode. When they are weak and many are required to kill you, it is a less thrilling experience.

I have a question, with this video you said that bo3 was punishing because u have 3 chances at life, wouldn’t that make bo6 more challenging due to only 3 self revives, or is it not because they’re a lot of ways to “get out of jail free cards” from streaks to field upgrades, which was also in bo3 and bo4 only thing that wasn’t is score streaks

one thing about the punishing part. It forced you to get good and learn strats. It made it challenging and allowed you to get better at training. I grew up playing og zombies waw-bo4 and then when I jumped to a random game of cw zombies, it put me in round 30 with no perks or anything and I was able to train and grab perks along the way. But it felt too easy with armor. I enjoyed being pushed to do better with og and the lea-way with the new game didnt feel as rewarding. Idk thats my take

I don't think many of the hardcore zombies community would just always hate on anything new with zombies. I really like the armor system because you don't have pull up a guild ever time you want to build your shield. It's super convenient but still hard in a way by being expensive. Plus going down is such a time killer because it takes so long to go threw the menus with the scoreboard and everything. I want to jump right back into another round of zombies and the armor helps out with that.

Honestly, after watching the vid, I will say that you did bring up good points on why the armor exists. It makes me somewhat respect it and understand why it's a change that now exists and probably won't ever go away. But I just wished the armor had some elements of the shield to have that risk and reward the shield had. Now this is just my opinion but I like to imagine the perfect armor system is that you start the game with no armor but in the map, you can find the level one armor off a dead body. Each map can have this design be exclusive and unique but for example Terminus it's off of a Janus Prison Guard or on Liberty Falls off of a SWAT/Riot Team member. So now you have level one armor but to upgrade it, you have to find three, easy to find parts of it that upgrade it, go to the Arsenal machine and get your upgrade. Same goes for level three and now you have full armor and you can store up your plates and have it act out. Now for people that prefer the idea of just getting it easy? You can purchase the armor and it's upgrade through the arsenal but the catch is that it requires high amount of scrap, encouraging you to at least try to get a bargain by exploring the map and finding the parts. Learn the damn map.

I agree with every point you made Doughnuts. I’m personally a fan of both armor and the shield but if I had to pick one I’d probably go with armor just to have that feeling of 1 vs 100 like in the Entity boss. As you pointed out in boss fights of older games you’d have a handful of zombies along side the boss rather than a whole horde like you do in CW and MWZ bosses. That feeling of being overwhelmed while plating gives a different kind of stress than using the shield in boss fights did.

absolutely wonderful video, i loved ur explanations and agree with basically everything, honestly i think the only thing i still wish for is for shields to return along with armor, this kinda happened in bo4 when u popped ur specialist but i think we forget shields werent just for expanding ur potential hits but it was also used in a variety of ways, it was also a weapon and special weapon with the gorod shield having 3 blasts and having the ability to have another map specific feature with the shields and allowing them to create more personification of a maps unique environment, and it also was doubled as a weapon and allowed for upgrade paths on certain maps which added an extra layer of depth that we currently dont get with armor, even if they have a "golden plate" option or quest it wont feel the exact same as shields did bc u physically interacted with this item and it created a layer of ambience with the map and helped with the feeling of atmosphere, this is my main hope for zombies is we return to more map personification features, one thing terminus is doing again is the dig spots which is a great start but future maps having a shield or something similar with certain new buildable weapons that we could store on our player specific to that map, would be a huge step to adding that layer of depth back to zombies.

I hope that going forward maybe during the life cycle of bo6 or the next zombie game, there is a side easter egg on the map your playing that gives your armor a buff. Like a aether coated plate that has damage reflection. Or golden armor. Something like that makes replating more involved and with it while also giving armor a uniqueness to zombies and the map your playing.

So the big points for not liking armor, milo also made some good points about this 1)the "aura" of armor, it does not feel like zombies, all this would take to completely turn around would be a reskin, put some aether crystals on the thing, or even just make it glowy. (this could play into my solution for part 3, when you get the upgrade that does multiple plates at once the plates get aether crystals) 2)it makes the game easy. This feels more like a marketing/design issue then anything else, I agree with your points about more chaos and special zombies but they really REALLY need to crank the difficulty to make that a thing, and they need to add rewards for that difficulty. mwz had that but only in a couple instances (elder dark aether, elder secret bosses, and red worm solo) it feels like they made armor to give them more design space for harder content, but then didn't use it to make harder content, they went "oh our players are children" instead which is compounded in a huge way by the fact that you mostly only need to do each of the things that are actually hard once (unique rewards for the elder modes are recipes and blueprints, get em once and they are useless, after that you actually only want to do the non elder version because your loot slots will not be wasted with blueprints). Like you said, you are allowed to fail more, but we need to be made to fail more because of this or it will not be a challenge. we have naturally ramping difficulty (the rounds) for this reason, people do not want to play through 50 rounds of 14 hit downs for a chance to play a difficult mode when you are probably already set up with one of the classic exploitative setups that will let you go infinite. 3) manual plating feels bad man. I agree with this but it adds decision, like you get out of a hoard, you need to chose to replate or reload. but it does feel bad that the majority of the time I will just be slamming the armor button over and over again which feels bad (this is true for players of mwz as well, I hate dying because i forgot to press g before going into the next group of zombies) I think there is definitely a happy middle for this, but in my opinion that would be to take the armor and make it manual, but one press of the button fills all of your armor bars and you drop/can store far less of them. this fixes the complaints about how much time armor wastes as well as the button slamming issue. if you want you could also have this be a thing when you have speed cola, it does not go faster but you apply 3 at once. I am also a person who prefers the careful "plan ahead, avoid bad situations, having good equipment will rarely give you a chance to get out of these situations" gameplay over "do whatever as long as when you back yourself into a corner you react fast and hit your field/killstreak/special/kasmir/monky bomb/whatever other nonsense and a new one will drop in 30 seconds after you are out" it was ok in BO4, where it was basically just the special weapons, but here it feels like you have so many different options that when I get cornered I am going to panic and have to hit 8 different buttons. it is a reduction in the skill aspect of things like game knowledge and awareness, but a massive increase to the skill ceiling of things like reaction time and luck of pulling the correct killstreak or grenade or whatever.

I have not played the recent zombies games so I don't know how armor feels to use, so the main thing I want is for armor to not make the game too easy. I like the difficulty of the waw-bo3 systems. I think having the game be more punishing is what makes the game a rogue-like. If you were able to beat a rogue-like on your first try or your first few tries, then the game would not be worth playing. The point of a rogue-like is for it to be challenging, and for you to get stronger and/or better at the game the more you play it. If the game is too easy then the only point of playing the game is to camo grind or do the easter egg. If you don't have anything else then you will stop playing the game once you have done the camo grind is done and never touch it again. There has to be a reason for you to play the game beyond surface level mechanics like a camo grind that make the mode worth playing.

5:07 I don’t get this point at all. In DE you have to constantly be aware of what attack the keeper is undergoing whilst fighting off skeletons, dogs, and the panzers. In ZNS you have to dodge Takeo’s attacks whilst getting bombarded with zombies, spiders, and thrashers. In GK you need to dodge the dragon’s fire breath and meteors, and the zombies, and the manglers. Then Nikolai turns on you and you have to deal with his direct shots, his skyward shots, his R.A.P.S, the zombies, and the manglers. Then Revelations has the margwas, panzers, zombies, keepers, parasites and furies! The idea that BO3 boss fights “aren’t spamming all these different bosses at you” just isn’t true. I think that the shield system and original health system makes gameplay (boss fights especially) more intense and thus more enjoyable. Love the video nonetheless! You’ve been putting out some great stuff recently and your positive outlook on modern zombies makes for upbeat and enjoyable vids.

Imma be completely fair. Not plating up will just be the classic health system In cold war if you don't buy armor you get downed after 3 hits like in BO2 (2 if you lose jug in later rounds) I did that to see how it would play and I got to round 40? or something like that with no armor however I did get downed way more than with it But hey in BO3 people keep getting downed on round 30+ too so that means cold war has it pretty similar when there's no armor! And with Black Ops 6 now if you will accidentally pick up an armor vest (if there will be one) then you can still decide to not armor up

Im 99% fine with the”punishing” gameplay coming from someone who doesn’t prestige in mp because I don’t want to grind to get back but in zombies the “grind” is the early rounds which may be slow but is the base of the game that you can figure how to optimize or play around with in the next run I like your point of each failure is a chance to learn and that bounce back moment can be valuable

I personally like the armor system way better then the shield system. Armor makes more sense in the current universe as the characters we play as would be well versed in its use. B06 is emphazing omni movement and body armor makes more sense than carrying a heavy shield. Having more effective health allows treyarch to add more intensity and complex enemies which the previous systems wouldnt allow. I think it also allows for more risky plays which may be more fun for some players. I dont think manual plating will be an issue as mentioned in the video as it adds more skill expression and thought verse simply running over armor plates. I think it will be a little learning curve and nothing more. Ty for reading!

I disagree I mean this in the most respectful way I don’t mean any hate I have nothing but respect for you❤❤❤ 1. I do think it’s a valid argument that because it’s from warzone it’s bad to an extent it’s not necessarily that fact it’s from warzone it’s more zombies has always been different and when we bring in other things from other modes it starts to make the mode feel less unique 2. When you were going over the entity boss you said that “you can’t have an experience like this in old zombies” again I disagree I can name a time and when in the de boss fight they spam panzers 3. The reason why they don’t spam is as much is because the boss fights are designed extremely different one is designed with a more contained but area where you have to watch and keep going and the other is designed with an open arena and different platforms and a ton of loot at your disposal if you brought any in 4. The punishing gameplay loop that you go over in traditional zombies I think is completely off because I feel like that is kind of the point it’s difficult so that way you are determined to come back and give it another shot and do better 5. I don’t think you can compare zombies and multiplayer they are 2 completely separate modes that are supposed be alike 6. When you go over the infinite revive system and say “it gives players a new opportunity and allows them to learn more” again I feel like the point of the punishing system is the fact that you learn and are determined to come back 7. When you say that when you go down you never felt like getting back up and getting your perks bc it’s to punishing I mean this in the most respectful way but that sounds like a simple skill issue it was your fault you went down in the first place and you have to make the right moves to get back in the spot you were in 8. Manual plating imo it depends on who you ask one how they feel about it I personally feel that it ruins the overall immersion of the game it’s different in mwz bc mwz is almost an entirely different mode 9. Your waist armor plate point I don’t really understand that when you have a sliver of armor and pick up a plate and get that sliver back and not missing a lot I don’t rly understand bc I don’t think that’s an issue at all 10. Your shield take for you sounds more like a personal take I’ve never heard anybody rly complain that the shield system is majorly flawed I’m sure your not the only 11. The shield is stronger imo bc it’s not something your constantly thinking about until it’s either low or breaks armor your always thinking about it bc of you picking up plates Again I just disagree with you I don’t mean any hate I watch a ton of your videos I got nothing but respect for you❤❤❤

This is kind of long winded. I think BOCW had the best mechanics we have seen in Zombies besides the operators. I'm not saying its the best zombies experience overall (I think that goes to BO1), but in terms of gameplay/mechanics improvements and streamlining the experience it was the best, imo. I think its implementation of armor was also totally fine. It worked differently from warzone and MP so it felt like a unique zombies mechanic. I think the biggest problem here is completely transplanting features of pvp centric modes into Zombies without changing them enough to make it feel unique to zombies. It feels like the developers want to slowly meld everything together until there's just two identities, multiplayer (sometimes with zombies) and campaign. People want Zombies to feel unique. They want zombies to be fantastical in presentation, and full of mystery. They want the mechanics to play into those feelings. They do not want to just kill zombies on what feels like a multiplayer or warzone map with a whole bunch of almost unaltered mechanics from multiplayer or warzone duct taped together. At least not most of the time.

@nimrod812
@nimrod812 12 часов назад
I am not that against manual plating but the argument "people said they want more difficulty" is not a good argument. I think people dislike manual plating more because it is annoying rather than because it makes the game harder. It doesn't even make the game that much harder, it just makes you re-plate like 300 times per game just to use an important game feature. People want the game to be harder, but there are better ways to make the game harder than an annoyance feature. Examples I thought of are, limiting get out of jail free cards, lowering player health, making bosses more threatening, limiting the power level in early rounds so you are not op from the start, limiting space to move around so it isn't so safe everywhere you go.

Honestly the developers should make difficulty levels for players. I'm a casual and non frequently player after work and I'm not that playing crack as the RU-vid players here playing the whole day and are complaining that the game is too easy. So they should develop an "Easy, Middle, Hard and Hardcore" Mode so that the Top players can play with a shirt without armor and a knife without any pack a punch possibility in Hardcore mode in order to get the most excitement in this game. And I can play a fun game without frustration because I'm killed within the 5 hits by a hard of zombies.

To conclude, the armor came or change because of the change in game mechanics or health system. What a revelation! 😑 It's well intended video to sway opinion but it makes such obvious points that anyone who hasn't figured out all this on their own isn't going to change their mind because they are stuck in their mindset for the rest of their days, or are beyond the reach. It feels like it's for children who are starting with zombies. The black board was redundant, and difficult to make out on phone. I couldn't finish the video. A rare occurance with Doughnut's videos

Armor is awesome. Honestly you can plate and shoot at the same time so it’s not that bad of an animation. I like the fact that I can be all up in zombies faces and armor and shoot at the same time but I like playing aggressive. If you throw all 3 in with one push of the button, there’s no issue. And absolutely the fact you can save armor for when needed is a must. Armor is essential, just fight a mega with no armor and a crap load of zombies around… your done if hit by his laser a plain and simple. I guess if you just want to run and move and hide when you’re playing, but that seems boring to me. I also don’t want to play a game where a small mistake ruins the whole game, that’s why self revives are dope. The game is just as fun with armor and I think it’s more fun. More interactive, more strategic and more immersive. Armoring up creates more action and excitement in my eyes. Let’s make armor great again…

I don’t think I mind tired armor but rather that to get it back it’s broken into three back to back animations rather that just buy armor or just pick up the shield or grab perk and boom protected not hey interact with yourself incrementally to rebuild your tiered armor more shield more time replating is a balance I don’t feel is necessary or seems odd whether we stock plates or auto plate how we plate matters

Personally I really don’t mind armor. The shield is nostalgic sure, but it was a bandaid on a larger problem with glitched swipes and made the game “too easy” back then. Same with 3 hit down. Selectively screeching about watering the difficulty down while simultaneously wanting something that previously watered the difficulty down is a hard sell. But I’ll be honest, they should probably just throw as much nostalgia bait/ fanservice in as they can. Nothing they do that’s new or different will be largely liked by this community. They seem to have done that partially with Gobblegums so I guess they’re finding that out too.

I’m a Cold War defender, but the boss/health/armor system is just not as good as BO3 and before. In Cold War, high rounds became more player vs bosses than anything and regular zombies became a non factor. I was thinking of how it can be better, and I decided that spawning fewer bosses but giving the player less health would be a good balance to keep zombies “zombies”. Then I realized what I want is exactly what we had before. Again, I love Cold War, but I just don’t believe that the balancing with health zombies and bosses is an improvement whatsoever
@Silvervette96

Doughnuts, I agree with 99% of your videos, but not this one. The armor system is bad. It's a Warzone system they implemented. It makes it way way too easy. Just because MWZ has to throw way more special enemies at you to compensate for the system doesn't make it better. BO3/4 was balanced to the shield system too. And there were many times you had two margwas and a panzer chasing you around in revelations. I love the shield build able, I love the upgrade quests. Having ten hits before you go down, finding armor and ammo all over the ground is Mickey Mouse zombies. Please don't ever use CWZ as a comparison to anything zombies. CW was the absolute worst thing to happened to zombies. They straight out said that they made everything easier to try and open up to a wider audience. What a bad idea. They took the challenge, and as a result, the fun, out of zombies.
@LU6TIE
@LU6TIE 12 часов назад
Cant for for Activision to force the devs to replace the zombies with operators so people and youtubers can argue and make videos about dropping the "well its obviously from warzone" line and just determine whether the "new operator mechanic" is a good enough change for actual zombies fans who dont want a beloved mode to warped from other non-related modes to just stop complaining... clearly armor belongs in zombies, in fact if you point out its from warzone then youre just a bad and angry person :) 1 like equals just one more mechanic from warzone they'll implement into "zombies"
