@@Keplaves I don't know, solo is definitely feasible even though CO-OP is far superior. But i wonder, why should game of the year be forced to solo players?
this game has me by the balls currently, warts and all its one of the best coop experinces i can remember even along side some games i've got serious nostalgia goggles for.
I read on some RU-vid comments that APPARENTLY you can 1-shot a Bile Titan with a Railgun if you shoot it in its mouth as it’s about to spew. Whoever said that is full of crap haha Tried it today, stared down a Bile Titan and blammed it in the face, only for it to shrug it off and puke chunks on me 😂 Goddamn I love this game xD
I have actually done it,,,,,, ones. The other about 100 shoots I have tried, did not. That is why I currently run the spear. More certain damage output (WHEN IT CAN LOCK ON THAT IS :p ).
I've found that helldiver/edf is a good comparision of graphics and gameplay EDF has much better gameplay While Helldivers has much better graphics And the average person will take graphics over gameplay everytime
Pro tip on the flamethrower. DO NOT hold down fire on single targets. Aim at the ground and burn the paths the enemies are taking towards you. Fire damage does not really work the same as shooting a bullet and you will see it be more effective with bursts aimed at hordes/their feet. Very good for wiping breaches as well unless a charger or titan comes up (as well it does ignore armor, the damage is still too low to get a charger quickly. same with titan)
Actually, it does do direct damage. The damage from them walking through fire is kind of low at the moment, and you'll see a lot more effectiveness out of it by directly burning weakspots with continuous burn, as opposed to relying on the persistent fire on the ground to do the work outside of small enemies. Something like a second of continuous fire can pop the head off of a brood commander, and like half a tank into the leg of a charger will kill one. Spraying down fire walls can be good for keeping the chaff enemies back, but anything bigger you'll see it be a lot more effective by aiming directly for it.
@@fwg1994I never saw direct fire do that sort of damage but good to know. But either way you want the floor to burn, ideally to thin the horde so less worry for the smaller ones/hunters
I'm not usually one for multiplayer shooters, particularly co-op ones. But I finally bit the bullet and picked up this game. It's outrageously fun. The combat and mechanics are great, but god damn did the devs nail the satirical atmosphere.
The game is a godsend, I know we had those server issues near launch but overall been a simply splendid experience playing. Been a long time since a game was this satisfying...
What ?! When i shoot down Automaton dropships they bugout and vanish, shortly after that explosion+ another ship appears and lands to ground to act as "dead" airship...
It looks fun, but there's nothing in it that really draws me in or makes me think I won't get bored after 20-30 hours. Dispite often being a buggy (the other kind) mess, Darktide is still (800+ hours in) scratching an itch I didn't really realise I had dispite loving Space Marine Exterminatus mode.
The draw of the game is the intense silly co op fun. I havent had so much just insane fun in a long time. Plenty of amazing games iv enjoyed but this one captures a kind of enjoyment few games do these days.
besides the anti-cheat and some weapons/armor being locked behind premium battle passes being shitty, genuinely a very addictive game. bugs tend to be way more fun though, for me at least
i actually think the Automatons have more room for player agency and tactics. the bugs are fun to shoot and blow up of course, but especially on Difficulty 8-9 its just endless patrols, endless bug breaches, and endless armor as you kite around the map, leaving less room for stealth or different weapon combos. Hard to experiment when you're constantly being bullrushed by 10 chargers and 4 bile titans. On the bots side, I feel like you have more options available
@@danny123451To add to this each premium battle pass that will release will never expire, so if you buy it can finish it at your own rythm. No need to rush because you needed time to grind the premium currencies, it will not rotate out.
Avoided this at launch because I heard of a lot of launch problems. Are those sorted now or still ongoing? I can wait longer if need be, I played helldivers 1 so was already interested.
the server issues are pretty much fixed now yeah. weapon balance is still bad and there's a couple negatives that people point to like the anti-cheat, but overall game is in good shape
This game is amazing. Too bad I couldn't grab it until two weeks later at the urging of my friends, but they were already bored with it. So now I just try to solo missions; haven't tried on hard yet, but goddamn the Charger bugs are annoying to fight.
I'd LOVE to play it but after 12 hours according to Steam I've yet to actually play the game due to login ques, cinematic bugs, the anticheat and now matchmaking/failure to join lobby bugs the only thing I've accomplished is the tutorial and not being able to join on others or they join me :(
Have you tried playing today? It's been over a week since I've seen a login queue or anyone else mention one, and it's been several days since I've had any issues with matchmaking.
@@fwg1994 Last time I tried was Wednesday with my brother and I couldn't join him or him me or I couldn't join anyone else meanwhile my brother is fine.
@@jedhaney3547Yeah, that's annoying. Seems to fix itself after about half an hour, but it's still annoying. Seems like it's becoming less frequent though. Like a week and a half ago there was almost always one person in my friend group that happened to, but lately we've been fortunate enough not to see it at all. I have been having weird connectivity issues. Like one mission it lagged right near the end of the mission. My friends were telling me to get in the pelican, but it hadn't landed for me yet. By the time it finally did, they were already back in the menu with me failing to extract, but I got in and got a full team extracted. In another mission, all my teammates disconnected in quick succession, and then enemies just stopped spawning after that. There were some patrols on the map and stalkers hunting me down, but not a single enemy spawned during extract. After that no one could join my game for the rest of the night.
Why couldn't space marine or warhammer 40k launch a game like this: eldar, necrons, tyranids, orks, tau, traitor legions, dark eldar, demons and all the enemies you can imagine with mods
@@milkandcookiesTW the short version im too autistic to play the game, lots of systems that dont work with me mechanically (aiming ignoring crossair and being done through a seperate aiming system, strategem calling through codes, and graphics kinda scuffed on my system) doesnt acutally have anything to do with the game itself just like, the mechanics of how it works and is being played is incompatible with me
it isnt great lol. it can be fun to pair with the 120 barrage. basically throw down both on the same spot and it has a decent chance to kill lots of things and close most/all of a nest. but there's way better stratagems. if you play around it and kite a massive horde into its killbox it can make a big impact
When a dev makes a better Warhammer 40k game than Warhammer 40k Devs…. edit: I will say that Darktide is an amazing game and different from this, since people will inevitably make the comparisons.
Do yourself a favor. Get the game, get Spotify, and compile a playlist of 80s and 90s rock music + Sabaton + extras. Free Bird is a requirement. Best experience you'll ever have playing a video game.
Idk man, I'm trying to love this game, but half the players I meet nowadays are just the meta-build users who don't even try to work together... They just run off to solo the map then leave if/when they die. Yes, cuz it's my fault I went back to save a dude from 3 chargers and couldn't assist your light armor zippy ass from across the map when you wouldn't even slow down for us to catch up or call a resupply. If you run breaker, rail, orb laser, eagle, auto pistol, shield pack, l have 0 sympathy for you if you run off and die. In fact, stop joining mine and others' games. You lot clearly want to just play solo, so go do that and stop ruining my matches. I'll take the confused group of lvl 9 cadets on suicide over another one of these insufferable meta trolls. You're not helping even when you do solo the run, all you did and care about was maxing the end-round statistics. Either help the squad you join, or don't bother joining.
Another overpriced seasonal coop game, this time poorly copied from Earth Defense Force and with a surface skin of Battlefield. AI is not designing games yet, but the worst ideas of it are already manifest.
I would consider playing it if it didn't crash my entire, very expensive computer like the broken piece of garbage software it is. I would also consider playing if it didn't have straight up hardcore malware for an anticheat that never turns off, even hours or days after turning off the game. Hell, that malware anticheat is probably the reason this POS "game" (destroy expensive pc hardware simulator) keeps crashing.
