Thanks to Lenovo for sponsoring #ad this video, so I can review the Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 💻 Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 14" ( geni.us/yhvO - Commission Earned )
@@steezusb If it's specked with the 780M it will handle it (just not 4K fluently), i Got the gen 8 Yoga (non 2 in 1) with the 780.. it's more like a dedicated GPU, it''s crazy how powerful the integrated graphics are. They are 1,5 years old and way better in comparison to the latest intel. You can also game with it... it just takes everything you throw at it. BUT, the 7 gen8 has a 100W tota TDP, the 2 in 1 only have 65W. Sadly no reviewer out there is talking about it / testing it... I would be interested in the real performance, because I would exchange mine for a 2 in 1.
@@samvieten_official how do I check if it has 780m, lol. I’m new when it comes to the down to deep specks on a laptop. All I know is that I have a Lenovo yoga with integrated GPU.
@@samvieten_official so basically integrated GPU graphics are OK in the video editing world just not for 4K? Because I looked it up online and it said that integrated GPU take a little bit longer with video editing, like playback, and all those things.
I ordered it last night, worked on a surface pro for YEARS with 8gb RAM (no idea how I made that happen haha). Im an artist, so i want to draw on it, light animation, graphic design and video editing. Was thinking so much if I should get this or switch to apple, but I honestly think I made the right decision. Especially since you just dropped this video lol, cant wait for it to ship! Got the 16inch :) edit: Ive been wokimg on this Lapop for a few months now... I dont know how i lived without it! if your considering buying it, its def an amazing deal and the ability to switch back and forth between laptop and tablet got my animation skills to another level for sure :)
I just ordered the 16inch and I'm super excited for it! I've never owned such a a robust computer before. I know it's not the most powerful, but I'm very optimistic it will be a great computer. I don't do any graphic design. I'm only using it for home use and I do have a piece of software that I want to run, and I think this will be perfect the program is sketchup.
I’m currently in college for graphic design, I just started my semester and my original laptop died 😂 so I’m in a mad scramble to find a new one. How well does it handle graphic design/adobe software?
@@Parker_Luck15 heyyy so for me, it handles it amazingly. I do animations on after effects, premiere pro and use photoshop a lot. I’m honestly in love with it lol!! So I def recommend 🫡🥲 I got the 16inch one.
It's great! I bought mine this march. They offer the "build your own laptop" so I customized mine. Everything is great except for two things. I don't understand why my webcam sucks and usb plug is only one. That's it. Overall, it's great! I use mine to play sims 4 🤣
i just bought this one over the HP Envy 2 in 1! i heard alot better stuff on the YOGA over the HP Envy. ALSOOOOO i bought the Lenovo YOGA for $629!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! from best buy
why did you not compare it to (ASUS - Zenbook 14 OLED 14” WUXGA Touch Laptop, Intel Core Ultra 7 - Intel Evo Edition - 16GB Memory - 1TB SSD - Jasper Gray) ? both of them are ultra 7
Hey ben can you review lenovo legion slim 5 16 gen 9 rtx 4070 2024 edition. It’s 1250$ priced right now. I am eagerly waiting to get a review of this laptop 😊😊
Have had this laptop for almost a year now. The laptop is great for schoolwork, video editing, and things of that nature from my experience. The speakers are fantastic. Gaming is extremely limited, due to the shared GPU, which sucks, but it isn't made for games anyways. 7/10 laptop, got it on sale for around $800.
How is the cooling? Running video editing software? I’m a Design major and will be using adobe software and blender so I want something that won’t sound like a rocket ship because of how how it gets lol
Does this come in a 16" and a dedicated gpu? Or that's now left for the 9i. I currently use the yoga 730 from what 6-7 years ago.. The hinge failed me.. Really early too. But I really don't want to spend a lot of money.. Around $1000.. And still would love the touch function and a 16" Lenovo laptop.. Any suggestions?
i just bought this laptop and notice the ghosting and also very slow while watching youtube video, is it because 60hz refresh rate? Mine comes with 60hz only. I cannot return the laptop too.
-Does this one have the WUXGA 45% IPS display?- edit: Nvm he says it in the video. Just bought one like this an was worried about the display. Doesn't look too bad.
What kind of pen are you using with the laptop? I'm looking to buy this version in the 16" and I'm not sure which Lenovo pen is compatible with this device, as there are a few pens listed on the Lenovo website.
I have had a Lenovo Yoga 7i for a year, and I was so impressed, I decided to buy premium long-term support from Lenovo. This laptop has exceptional build quality, and it performs very well. The metal case is a big positive.
Any other options that have 100% srgb ? More accurate in the 1200 dollar rage . I watched some of your old videos but the models u mention don’t have those specs
what is your opinion of intel ultra core 5 vs 7? I have Lenovo yoga I 7. It is 5 years old and I need to replace it. The battery keeps dying. I have having difficulty deciding to spend the extra money for the Ultra core 7 processor.
How does this laptop rate against the ASUS - Zenbook 14 OLED 14" WUXGA Touch Laptop, Intel Core Ultra 7 - Intel Evo Edition - 16GB Memory - 1TB SSD. I love Lenovo but it looked like this Asus might be better especially if I don’t require the 2-n-1 option
In the UK Lenovo website, if you select ‘build your own’ on the 7i page, you can upgrade to the ultra 7 155H processor, then you get the 2.8k OLED display. You can also upgrade to 1Tb storage and 32GB memory. I’ve been researching what to get for my son who is start college, and I’ve gone round in circles abit, initially Asus (until I read many scare stories about their poor warranty support), then HP x360 Spectre (until I read about lots of issues with those machines), then Lenovo but initially thought I could only get the spec I wanted on the 9i, until I started digging down into the 7i options. I can get the same screen, same cpu, same storage capacity, same memory capacity on the i7 as the ‘ready built’ 9i option, but the 7i is ~£300 cheaper….& I’m now trying to work out what I’m losing out on, and it doesn’t seem to be much at all.
The Yoga 9i adds: * 3840x2400 display (vs the 7i's 2880x1800 display) * A rechargeable Lenovo Slim Pen * Is about 1.35kg (compared with 1.49kg for the OLED 7i) * An extra 4Wh of battery capacity It loses: * The Micro SD card slot * The 120Hz display Right now, the upgraded 7i is £1087.99 vs the 9i at £1500 in Lenovo's flash sale.
@@sarahsutubeusername ….thanks! the ‘big’ one for me between the 7i & 9i 2 in 1’s is the speaker placement. 7i has them on either side of the keyboard, which when you put it in ‘tent’ mode or on the display mode where the keyboard is face down, or in tablet mode, the speakers are going to be firing away from you, &/or into the surface that the laptop is sitting on. 9i has them on the rotating hinge, which seems a better location on such a device, so they will always be facing roughly toward you, or directly up, or directly to the side. As you kindly pointed out, I saw there was a small battery capacity size difference, 71whr (7i) vs 75whr (9i) Not sure about the glass finish you mentioned, I’d not noticed that.
Please help I am in dilemma! I really like yoga pro 9i and legion 7i however i can't buy both obviously. I am a CS student but, I like to game and want to have that 4070 of legion 7i and its amazing looks. Legion 7i is kinda cheaper than yoga pro 9i but I think for my gaming need yoga's 4060 will be enough. Need suggestions form y'all. ( I don't care if the ram is soldered)
@@davidgarza995 so I should buy yoga pro 9i over legion 7i? Can I play any games smoothly in yoga's 4060 with mini led? I want to buy the mini led version so 4060 might not be enough for gaming.
I had an HP (Bought in 2019) and would constantly have issues where the screen would turn off and I'd have to reboot manually. Also, made a weird clicking noise after a few months of owning it. Still works but was just annoying to deal with. I now just bought the Lenovo 7i and am very happy with it.
Would this yoga 7i 14, ultra 7 155h be better than the yoga 7i 16, i7 1355u. They are both currently on sale in the UK both priced the same at £799/$1020
@john-gr8in Hi John, I'm also in the UK 👋, and am also looking at the 7i 14”. The designation "h" behind the processor number indicates the processor is performance oriented, whereas the letter "u" signifies that it's low energy consumption oriented (at the expense of performance, obviously).
@@spartanthe300ththermopylae4 thanks for that. In your opinion what would be the better buy both priced at £799. The ultra 7 155h on the 14 inch I believe is newer than the i7 1355u on the 16 inch. I'm swaying towards the 16 inch for the extra screen size.
