This manga has woman warriors. This manga has cool ass monsters. This manga has woman warriors transforming into cool ass monsters. What more do you need?
The organization creates female claymores because they can manage their emotions and ego While male claymore can exceed their limit and transform into monster because they are competing with other male claymore and sometimes driven by lust or anger
@@katstakashi3459well, it's a generalized thing. There are exceptions ofc. A male that embraced its female side in the same way of the male one (which doesn't mean becoming gay) can definitely handle the emotions better than others. But yes, generally males or females with stronger male side are more emotional and easier to fall into fears or any other Ego centered emotions. It's good to see that a part of humanity is aware
Your pros: +Great editing +Good humor +Good microphone +Nice voice +Great story telling ability I'm sure you will blow up some day if you just keep moving forward Best of luck
I read Claymore at 13-14 years old and I think it rewired my brain for a while lol. Every story I wrote in the following years had inklings of Claymore influence
Loved this series. It was great to have a mature fantasy manga that has an all female cast with no cringy fanservice at all. Just great characters, horrifying drama, brilliant monster designs and a haunting apocalyptic fantasy world. The giant battles in the final arc are especially insane. It deserves the anime remake treatment!
Dude I read Claymore a whole back specifically bc of this video. I cannot tell you how much I loved it, like Claymore might just be my favorite manga of all time. Thanks for the rec!
Love the autonomy of the errie awakened beings it is just pure art! The pristine female body being morphed into something so gruesome while various remnants of thier old shell illiterate how thier humanity was just a past
i love that the series still gets attention several years after both, the manga & anime ended. gives me a glimmer of hope that it'll come back. cause it definitely needs & deserves to. if i had the money i would fund it's return my freaking self lol.
I really liked this! Saw this on reddit - I considered doing a review myself but didn't think anyone would remember this far back :) glad I'm not the only one. Your style is really nice to watch. I'm excited to see what else you post. You sound so natural and well thought through I'm jealous haha
That's probably one of the nicest things anyone has ever told me thank you :D. Ay honestly, if you have even a 1% urge to make a video about Claymore then I'd say fuck it and go for it. I know a majority of people wish the ending was better but reading this manga was such a crazy experience that I literally made a YT channel out of it.
This is one of my favorite anime shows :3 I saw it years ago, when I was in high school. I just finished rewatching it, and now that I'm older I appreciate it so much more! I wish they could have continued the story, because it was only one season, but the ending was good in my opinion. It's one of the only shows I've seen, that had an all female cast, kicked ass, there outfits were cool, not too sexual, and most of the characters had good mature attitudes. And no guy saved them, they worked together as a team, as friends. I wish there were more shows like this. The message at the end of the show were very heartwarming.
I'm so excited to read the manga. I watched the anime several years ago, and thought THAT was pretty good. Seeing the manga art and story explored really makes me want another anime studio to do a new adaptation of this. If Mappa took this up, hooooooo boy.
I've been considering this manga for about a year now because whenever I decide to read a manga I fully commit and buy all of it to binge over a few weeks (I read in Japanese meaning it's hard to find nicely presented Japanese versions on safe to use websites basically anywhere at all). This video has cemented my choice in buying it. I just sold my Death Note collection for a manga fund, and it looks like Claymore will be replacing it on my bookshelf.
@@Ah_Lecks update: it’s here! Just got it in the mail, kinda want to send you a picture of it. These came from Japan on top of being all 27 volumes of claymore
@@Evan-uw1hw Holy shit dude thanks for the follow up! I think rn I don't rly have any socials yet but I'll think about making a twitter down the line and you can feel free me to send it on there at any point. Lmk how it goes bro I think this video didn't rly age well in how I would present the manga bc there's a ton a ton of great RPG-esque mechanics within the manga that makes it so fun to read Hopefully you'll enjoy the story bro!
the amount of times i've come back to this video to just digest finishing claymore, I'm so happy you made this video dude, it's fkn awesome (claymore and this vid)
Damnnnn, apparently I stopped reading Claymore just before it got extremely good! Thanks for convincing me to get back into it, you couldn't have done a more stellar job! Claymore definitely needs more content on YT as there isn't a whole lot of it, so thanks for making this amazing video! p.s. I only stopped because I started a lot of other really good stuff. It's not that I thought Claymore was boring; quite the opposite, in fact. I just happened to stop in the middle of the Teresa vs. #2, #3, #4, and #5 fight.
In one night I watched all your videos but I'm saving this one because I need something to hold on to before waiting months for the next one. Kinda awesome that the older videos still hold up the amazing recent ones. Yea- you're going places for just purely the personality that bleeds through your videos.
As I kid I would take the bus to different libraries because they surprisingly had the first volumes of the series and it was amazing. This is one of the mangas that transformed me as a kid. It deserves so soooo much more recognition.
I always wish Claymore did more. I mean your told about the mainland and how they are using the island as an experiment to deal with invaders. There are hints that the mainland isn't medieval at all and in fact is a modern sort of society (those hints being some of the technologies you see members of the organization have). And to never get to see any of that just seems weird. The story resolves what was going on with the claymores at the island. But it doesn't resolve what was happening with the rest of the world at all and that always seemed like a really weird choice. Why even tell us about that if it doesn't actually matter?
Ya i would love to see a sequal where the mainlanders return to try to wipe out the claymores wich causes them to counter attack the mainland, with the dragonkin all other unknown forces on the mainland theres still plenty more storytelling that can be done.
IDK if my heart could handle ever finding out that Claymore ever got a proper Anime reboot. The manga is so good. It was the first series one i legit read front to back because i was hooked. And as someone that sometimes fall out of interest in some mangas/anime's- thats a huge accomplishment.
I just finished reading the first 26 chapters. I'm reading it with my friend, because of you. Broooooooooooooooooo 😭😭😭😭😭😭 I'm sooooooo hooked. Sadly, because we're supposed to move at the same pace. I can't exactly cruise through because she and I promised we'd go through it together. But damn!!!!! Thanks Dude
I've been a fan of Teresa years ago since I saw those last chapters, and it draw me in such OP female characters, not just in power but in their attitude aswell
Miria, Teresa, Galatea are my favorites characters in the series Man if only they're the main characters 🤔 Sometimes i wonder what if Guts (Pre-Falcon of the Millennium Empire Arc) meet Teresa (Before She met Claire) and somehow have to work together to hunt down some great monsters lol 😁
It's funny how a mangaka that starts off doing a highschool comedy ends up doing this manga. "ANGEL DANSETSU" first few chepter's art is really really rough to look at but from that manga, you could see how his art evolves. (And you can see proto-Clare in highschool)
This was one of those series that i just kinda would hear about over the years. But now that i have the jump plus app i finally decided to read it after noticing it was on there. And it was a great read! The artwork is insane
Ain't no fucking way I haven't seen this video 😭😭 bro I'm so disappointed in myself because I've seen all your videos... Claymore is my favorite manga Claymore and Mushishi! The ending really had me crying like crazy. Thank you bro
5 days... 5 days ago I had zero idea what the plot was, who these characters were... Now.. I have watched all 10 hours of the anime 3 frickin times, and read the manga twice. I have never been so captived and in love with a story before. Viva la revolution, Phantom Miria forever!!
I watched the anime 15 years ago and got desapointed by its ending. Then a couple years ago a friend almost threatened me if I didn't borrow his collector's edition of the manga and read it, claiming the manga was nothing like the anime's ending. I fucking devoured the 27 tomes in like 2 week-ends. Eventhough the last part is more "shonen-like", I loved the ride. Claymore is the manga that got me back into manga.
I was scared at the beggining of the art style... But the story itself sucked me in hard. Art is improving pretty fast and OMG what an improve that is (those two-page spreads ❤). Im so happy reading this manga ☺️
Finish this couple of months ago, and yes, not the perfect but soo, soo good battle story, with some amazing characters, epic. I mean REALLY EPIC FIGHTS. and INCREDIBLE MONSTERS DESIGNS. And i soo enjoy priscilla. She's badass, brutal, deadly and soo brutal but hot design. But really well written characters. Thanks for the video, i subscribed. Waiting for gantz review.
The art reminds me of Berserk, and the way you're expressing your admiration for it also reminds me of my love of Berserk, so I've got no choice but to pick this up 😁
Anyone that praises Claymore is great people to me and this story of incredible badass women warriors everywhere is like Berserks little sister to me and glad I found this channel I'm subscribed
Its a solid manga that does almost evrything right, good pacing, story, world building, character interaction, the animations are amazing and very creative. Not being tainted by obnoxious filler to milk the story for evrything possible is also a major plus. Its not the stereotype Japanese manga, It just does its own thing and does it well.
Oh my god u don’t understand like i was wondering if you’ve read this masterpiece. Thank God ♥︎ i rlly appreciate u spreading the absolute gospel that is Claymore! This manga makes me happy about the fact that i was born into this world 💖
I started my youtube channel last week, and I've always wanted to bring stories that I found amazing to other people. I've always wanted to do it in a way that brings these stories more to life. I've been racking my brain and struggling with recording my first video. I haven't found out how to deliver them and be confident about it. The moral of this drawn-out orgin story is that I discovered your channel yesterday, and I just scrapped everything I was working on. You inspired me to make a change to the way I was trying to deliver these fantastic pieces of media to people. You probably won't see this comment, and i might look back at this as mega cringe later, but i appreciate it dude. Best of luck to you on your journey. The shit you make is flames, I'm sure you'll be big as fuck in no time.
Totally agreed. I only watched the anime but the scene where Teresa got beheaded seriously shook me to the core. I was so devastated from that and felt this strong urge to watch on for the revenge. I hated Priscilla, she needs to pay.
The anime did it good until the end. It’s a strange phenomenon where they produce the episodes faster than the chapters could come out. So we got a lame effing ending in the anime.
This is one of my favourite manga. I 1st watched the anime and it didn't do any justice to the source material. It was a coworker that later convinced me to read it. Glad I did!!
Possibly the Best Review of Claymore I've Ever seen. I first knew Claymore in the Anime In later 2017 and i thought it was really amazing and i forgot about since then. Until last year i found out there is Continuing Story in manga. So i read it and it was the best thing I've done in 2021.
I loved claymore. My first exposure with it was the anime which was greatly. But sadly it was cut short and never covered the whole story in it's entirety.
I think I choose Claymore than any Anime in the world Claymore is Badass, Dramatic, Epic Story ever The Manga teach me how to survive, how to struggle without being bad person in this evil world that we live today
Besides Claymore being one hell of a great story with great characters, plot twists and emotional moments, it is also a masterful lesson on how "strong female characters" should be made in Hollywood. They shouldn't rush or skip character development and downplay the male characters (including the beloved ones) just to make the girls look more empowered, because this is just forced trash, but Claymore deals with that very well, the characters are well-rounded, developed, charismatic and complex, and they don't bash or belittle the men just for their masculinity. (Looking at Disney Star Wars, Captain Marvel, Terminator: Dark Fate and X-Men: Dark Phoenix rn) The woke fan-hating writers from Hollywood love saying "fAnS aRe jUsT iNtImIdAtEd bY mUh sTrONk wHaMeN", to justify their movies and games being utter failures despised by everyone because they won't stop trying to push a disgusting agenda down everyone's throat, when Claymore is the living proof that it is not the case, men absolutely love strong female characters when they're done right, even more than the male characters. (That's why most people playing female characters in MMORPGs are men, or why the many beloved waifus are very powerful characters.) If only western media would stop being woke and make female characters as good as Claymore's instead of Mary Sues...
there's actually a fkn ton (but forgotten'ed/ignored/censored by the woke) of non-woke hollywood has had some well-written strong female characters: ellen ripley (aliens) sarah conner (terminator) alice (resident evil) lara croft (tomb raider) selene (underworld) wednesday and morticia (addams family) beatrix (divergent) katnis (hunger games) evelyn salt (salt) princess leia and padme (star wars) hermonine (harry potter) elsa and anna (frozen) esmeralda (hunchback of notre dame) rapunzel (tangled) jasmine (aladdin) ariel (little mermaid) mulan (mulan) // the old animated movie cinderella (cinderella) princess diane (wonderwoman) (wonder woman) furiosa (mad max) clarice (silent of the lambs) leonor varela (vampire princess in 2) and wright (the medical doctor who helps blade in 1) (blade) river tam (serenity) alita (alita battle angel) queen gorgo (300) rita (edge of tomorrow) cataleya (actress: zoe saldana) (colombiana) jack (kyra) (riddick) laura (logan) and many more...
I agree. Claymore also has good world-building and a good explanation for why the Claymores are currently all female (since the first generation was all men) - it's not just forced "girl powah" crap. Males in Claymore aren't treated any less respectfully than the female warriors, nor are they emasculated.
The manga he wrote before this one, where a guy who is super scary looking, is actually a good guy, is HILLARIOUS and super good. The art is kinda bad, but it's soooo good.
Claymores messages truly a story of acceptance you become something when someone accepts you and you become nothing but a monster when you feel as though you are not accepted you. need to remake the anime because they miss so much Source material
I saw the anime 3 years ago and I found it medium.... But now that you talked about the manga I feel it's like Berserk ! So I will give it a try, good job :)
And that's not even getting into the brainwashing, torture, gaslighting, cover-ups, and just plain pure evil that goes on later in the series. Claymore has got to have one of the most vile and terrifying antagonists I have ever had the misfortune to read about, ever. The last 30 or so chapters felt like a death march.
I've returned after reading it, absolute banger 10/10, why are the fist 30-ish chapters so slow I dropped it twice before. There is some weird power consistency towards the end too, but whatever absolutely worth it.
The good of the manga is also in the difference of speed. All good stories are like that. It's like making love with a woman A man tends to start with speed, like if it was a competition, and find himself without energies if tries to sinthonize with females. A woman would start slowly, following the natural progression of things, and reaching the top peak of it in time. At least the ones who know what I'm talking about. People, especially men, are so used to impacting things that they don't give proper attention and consideration to others, which in the long run, are definitely better. Or just different. It's funny reading the comments and discovering how many have stopped just when it was going to start. It's also not their fault, because they are pumped in by society I guess. Or something coming from there. Btw, Claymore and the Silmarillion are 2 must reads. The rest is up to you
