@Curly Carmelita I totally can relate to your findings. I have a Healthcare background but I've been in manufacturing the last 4 years cause the pay is way better(at least it is in Iowa). When I look for jobs online, I look in both Healthcare and manufacturing. I can't find anything that pays more than $17/$18. I have a hard time believing that cost of living is "affordable" when the rent for a descent apartment is $13001-$1500/month. Where I live the pat is definitely higher and the rent is significantly lower. I guess it comes down to preference for me though. I can stay here in Iowa where the cost of living is actually affordable and the quality of life if low. Or move to Houston where I might have to live pay to paycheck or even work 2 jobs.

@Plus Ultra Gang I'm starting to see that. I was so ready to move there. I just came back from visiting family in Houston(Katy area) last week and I was sold!!! Loved the atmosphere. Since I've been back home in Iowa, I've been taking my job searches more seriously and I still can't make sense of the huge sacrifice I'll be making...Im gonna continue to pray on it and see where the Lord guides me.

Honestly, I couldn’t imagine living here without a car 😭 to my knowledge there is something called ‘Dart’ that is used as public transportation but I’m not sure how it works

It’s not that great. Not really a walkable city either way, you’ll need and want a car to get around.
