From the very start, Eve was the only person who can see right through Vilanelle's bs.

It’s funny the second time you watch it and knowing how it develops, it becomes more of a dark comedy.

I love love Villanelle and Eve, it literally means everything that they are the same people. If Eve is not a psychopath, she would have shown sympathy to V, but she didn't.

Villy is a sociopath. She wasn’t born this way. It’s like a defense mechanism.

Villanelle was playing with Eve from the moment she broke into her house. That bullshit speech at the beginning. She knew Eve wouldn't buy it. She was messing with her the whole time. She was in love with Eve from the moment she first saw her. Then she executed her witness and her security and then Bill. She spent the entire season just trying to imprint herself onto Eve so she would be as obsessed with her as she was obsessed with Eve. By the third season of the show they were addicted to each other and had to quit cold turkey.

Honestly, despite the overly predictable ending, it did make sense to have villanelles' arc end that way (personally I felt that it should have been Eve as we know she can't live without villanelle (and the title cmon)). Throughout the beginning of season, 4 Villanelle tried to appear to be a good person, though having her intentions be shallow, ultimately ending with her becoming unhappy at the prospect of never feeling truly good. By the finale we have a Villanelle who not only saved lives by destroying the Twelve (knowing them they're probably gonna be replaced) which in turn will save multiple lives in the future but finally the most important part, saving Eve. Her decision to save Eve was out of love and selflessness. Villanelle is an assassin trained since she was a child with her father and was deserted on an island for training until she was perfect in the novels. So surely it would be her instinct to protect herself first or even use Eve as a shield for the bullets. But instead uses her skills and knowledge to protect Eve by diving off the boat with her. I also loved the little detail with her bullet wounds leaking blood into little angel wings as she's shot from a low angle making her look like she's floating to heaven. Edit: I also wanted to nerd out about the setting. I loved that it took place at the bridge where they met up last season and finally left eachother. Ultimately I think it would have been best to end the show at the season 3 finale, it's a bittersweet ending that can either be read as the two women finally leaving each other behind (thus s4) or it can be read as the two women realising that they need each other and potentially walking back to reunite.

Okay, on this breakdown of the title of this video post you've made; I have to respectfully disagree with your stance: here's why: the individual may actually benefit from that understanding, as someone who deals on a daily basis with something akin to that- I know that finding out why someone like me has no empathic bonding with anybody at all- is *that* emotionally distant and somewhat callous; it makes an awful lot of sense. I also, as an individual, know full well that in such "email letters", neither of us can really do either any real harm; so thus there really is no need to get into a combative mindset that'd lead to violence... and hence appeal to reason through freedom.

A show with truly mesmerizing scenes but NO overall plot. Supposedly a spy story that never was resolved in a satisyfing way. Characters being killed with no discernable reasons, especially at the end. Could have been all time great show and the only reason to watch is Jodie Comer who could make reading a phone book seem engrossing and immersive. Hopefully she'll get involved with much better shows than this rather incoherent mess of a show.

I love how they're mixing the concept of schizophrenia, narcissist personality disorder and borderline personality to make something that is supposed to be "a psychopath". Yeah, sure, 'couse every psychopath is a homicidal maniac. Edit: Psychopathy goes deeper than that and Hollywood using a personality disorder as a way to gain money it's sickening. Ah, and Eve is acting weird, first upsetting Vil with the knife and then trembling when she puts it to her throat. You get what you sow.
