As someone who has finished this game mode it is really good to know that they are giving it more recognition. I really hope that in a future update they will give worthwhile prizes for players to try. Kind of like the Level 30 pose.

Tip for table turf: it’s a good idea to have a mix of big cards (ex dynamo, flipper flopper) small cards (ex most subs) and some medium cards (ex shooter cards) Use the big cards to block off the opponent’s card and get a lot of paint Use the small cards to fill in spaces to get special And use the regular cards as multi purpose card to fill both roles

Man, I love playing Table Turf and I'm glad to see more people, specially pro players like ProChara, get into this and find it fun. But oh boy, are lvl 3 ai input reading shenanigans frustrating. Can't wait to go up against Clone Jelly and see how having my own deck thrown at me feels.

I genuinely believe that not having a menu shortcut is by far the biggest reason most people haven't played tableturf. Heck, I avoided it for the first few weeks of the game just because I didn't care enough to walk around to find it.

It's a great mode. Super chill and relaxing. Also it's really fun to put down a 12 blocker to really mess up the AI haha

I thought I would never play it as it's a game that's just there if you're bored, then I wanted to try get the tableturf emote and tableturf battle is really underrated!

I'm about level 34 now and I've even unlocked Murch's deck sleeves. I really wish there was real time pvp. Even though I do find the AI challenging, it's frustrating because sometimes it feels like the AI is reacting to me instead of just anticipating it. I would have loved a human component. It would be awesome if you did an analysis on AI movement for this game and deck structure.

Here's a tip for everyone. One smart strategy is, just like in Turf War, you want to encroach on your enemy's territory early _before_ filling your side of the board. Since you can only place new blocks next to blocks you already own, if you can cut them off early, it gives you much more room to work with. However, if someone does this to you, there is a way out of it. Focus on getting as many special points as you can. You can get a special point for every turn you don't play a card if you're unable to get any the normal way. Then, use a special attack to play a card with long reach to get through their wall of blocks. If you have a good handful of turns left, start by placing cards with small numbers to slowly spread out your area on their side before trying anything big.

I really like all of the strategy of this funni card game. I grinded till lvl 30 because the card shark emote is the coolest looking emote atm, but i enjoyed learning how to play effectively along the way so ill go back and level up some more later. Im also really anticipating the splatfest sneak peak because ive gotten like all of the guaranteed card packs and my collection progress has slowed significantly. Im definitely gonna be grinding conch shells so i can get a whole bunch of stuff from the shell out machine

I grinded TableTurf over the span of three days just for the Submas emote. Worth it

Pro strat: There are a handful of cards that are 12 blocks with no special point. What makes these valuable is they cost only 3 special to use instead of the normal 4 (or 5?) that a 12 block w/ special point would cost. Worth having at least two IMO as they're great for painting over enemy territory near the end game where you aren't really going to be building off it anyways. I own three and run all three in pretty much every deck just to have my options. Sometimes working around enemy (and my own, for that matter) special points can be a right PITA.

player models that spawn around the tableturf alley who are holding cards can be challenged, but there's also a second tableturf hangout next to hotlantis as well

MORE MORE MORE! There's not nearly enough content about tableturf, trying to find guides on good deck building habits is impossible, we need a tableturf champion to guide us!

Before picking a deck to play, watch the type of grid: it helps you to pick your cards, whether big or small cards, or square, or diagonal pieces in case the grid has a diamond shape. Currently 98 cards and defeated Li'l Judd Lv 2, not sure how to get more cards, probably by winning more matches. The only detail that probably needs to be fixed, is that sometimes you have one piece available to place, but the game does not tell you where to place it, and you could spend minutes trying here and there, so the game at least should narrow the option to the area or areas where you can make your move.

I love table turf, cannot wait for them to add pvp, that should make it more interesting in the future

When building a deck you really need it to be balanced between big / medium and small cards. If you have only small cards you can't get enough points down to win and if you only have big ones you will have a hard time putting anything down late game.

Oh and also I think that you can fight random ppl in the plaza when they have cards in their hands but they might be ai for now

For anyone wanting to collect more cards, you can get guaranteed card packs from hero mode and catalogs, else is from mystery box and shell out. Happy collecting :)

I should, yes. I've been playing on lv.3 Jel La Fleur and I think I got 10 wins on him right now. It doesn't level up your character level or catalog, only tableturf level, so I haven't been focusing on it as much as I would like to. I'm also trying to get the lv.30 pose, I think I'm pretty close by now. I would like deck strategies. I just have a vague deck building idea of: some large pieces, lots of medium-small pieces and a special piece (those uses only 3 special points and have no special blocks). Rush with large + medium pieces, then build up special with the rest of the pieces.

If they figured out how to make a physical version I would be so stoked.

I really enjoy playing tableturf in between Salmon runs, but the recommendation is really appreciate, Hazmy. It really helps to see turfwar more strategically as well

I love Tableturf! I do hope they expand on it in the future. I would love if this became a real game on its own. I can see it doing well as a mobile game.

the upstairs cafe in the lobby has 3 tableturf tables, that definitely seems like where you'll play it online once they add it. the shoal has a few tables aswell.

Big piece of advice is make your own deck instead of using the starter one! I think it's gotta be intentionally bad so you're encouraged to make your own

I want to love this game so bad but I find myself getting bored very fast when trying to play it. It might just be because I’ve never been one for card battles. 😅

I have been playing day 1. I put myself up to rank 48 and I am slowly grinding out the locked sleeves. I don't like that with single player and the catalog complete. I need a small chance on the shell-drone or shell out Machine to get a pack. I would like salmon run to have a capsule that can spit out a pack of cards or occasionally a fresh one.

I don't get the deck building element. There's the obvious tip to have different sizes of cards but how do you find stuff that works well together? And make a whole deck? I get overwhelmed with choices lmao

Honestly I just wish the mode had rewards (like cash, exp, or ability chunks) to give incentive to play it. When I'm trying to grind gear for my weapons, it seems a bit odd to break away from that to play a mode that offers nothing.

Tableturf is a great gamemode, but it does get a little tedious grinding it out. I wonder if multiplayer could solve that.

I am just waiting for everyone who is the best competitive player uses the exact same deck verbatim to win. Once that occurs I might try it out.

I like the mode but I wish it wasn't stuck to online just for playing against the bots. I feel like if I playing against computers that should be offline so I may practice. Wanna play it more.

I mocked the mode when they announced in in the Direct but the joke’s on me because I’m hooked. Tableturf Battle is amazing and I’m having loads of fun with it. Hopefully pvp will come sometime soon. In the meantime I’ll keep unlocking those card sleeves.

I hate tableturf because after, like, level 10 it's just a grinding slog because no matter who you fight, you only ever get 100 xp, and even if they are lv. 3 which is significantly harder than lv. 1 of course, you only get an extra 30 xp for winning!

"You should TRY Tableturf Battle" as the mode is a waste of time unless if you got nothing else to do in game. There's not even an online mode, or any real rewards.
