I was a single earner in India, 2 kids fees for a private school, home loan and a Car loan, with high tax I ended up with out much savings or investment after moving we paid off 50%of home loan using PF, rent from India taking care of expenses back home, My decision to move to Sweden as a single earner turned out to be better, free education for kids good public transportation work life balance, As we did in India we need to adapt to weather hot summers and cold winters, winters with heating to stay home in T shirt,Play board games, or indoor sports, read books and summers to explore outdoors.
Is it really free education? I learned that only Swedish language govt schools provide free education, if you choose English like we are doing in India for our children then international private school is the only option, and when I research about Stockholm international school then it's huge, one time non refundable admission fee 50-60k SEK and then monthly 10-12k SEK for grade 3 or 4 students, so could you please elaborate how you manage your kids education in Sweden, it will help us as we will be moving to Stockholm in next few months, thank you.
We moved to Sweden last year and we have been following your channel since then. Seeing your videos on how the work life balance is good and how much free time one gets in Sweden, me and my wife used to joke that we will wait to see your opinion changing once you have kid :) Jokes aside, we moved here with super naughty twin boys and irrespective of India or Sweden, having maids/nanny or not, even with or without grandparents, our lives is super hectic and chaotic with kids. But at the end of the day, it is very rewarding and fulfilling and totally worth it. Happy parenting and best wishes :)
Very good points covered which people generally miss. Though there is work life balance in job but all the household and outside work is to be managed on your own without any help or services and may be stressful. Salaries in India recently have gone up like anything. So earning and saving shouldn't be the reason to come abroad. Quality of life may be the only reason. Lack of social circle and loneliness are also factors that need to be considered as you mentioned. Its very difficult to make friends and maintain a social life similar to one back in India.
@@pinakiroy2447 As I have mentioned it may be stressful. May be you are perfect at doing everything, everyone is not. Yes people from India may find it stressful and difficult sometimes to do electrical work, buying groceries, managing cooking and extended family without any support. I don't think there is anything wrong if someone expects services. Its a very common thing in India for the working class. I just wanted to give a real picture of the things one may have to adjust when one shifts abroad. Not sure what is wrong in it. Its good that you manage everything on your own. 👍
@@debarchan ouch.. it hurts 🤣😂 doing own work has nothing to do with perfection 😃 yes... u got it right... "common thing in india". i am sorry for all the trouble you have to go through.. hope everything sorts out soon anyways... congratulations & cheers!!
I think weather will hamper most those who come from north and south India. But for those like me who come from the Himalayan regions of India, it would not be difficult to get used to the weather in Sweden and other nordic and scandinavian countries. In my place in rains a lot throughtout the year and we hardly get to see the sunlight. So yeah, will try for Sweden soon. Currently I am living in Ireland and I love the weather in northern Europe. And more I am attracted to the Viking culture that forms Ireland and the nordic countries.
You are 100% right bro. I also unfortunatly lost my job this month while living in Stockholm. Got laid off from IT Job, I have 3 months to find new job but due to Semester/Vacations, its getting really hard to find new job. Also due to Gov change, Companies are trying to avoid people, who need WORK PERMIT and prefer people, who speak fluent Swedish. Plus I have 2 years of experience which is kind of low because all new jobs needed 5+ Experience. Any Advice plz!
I understand everything you mentioned sir. I guess the swedish kronar is becoming weak and inflation is rising, The situation is not good now in europe. I am learning swedish from now itself maybe I will come after 4-5 years so right now I know basic conversational swedish. If you could make videos about study in sweden and how to apply it would be good . Keep making more videos.
Ashutosh- incredible video from script, presentation, editing, color grading, humour standpoint. Man, I am so happy to witness such authentic and pleasing content. Keep up - I am cheering for you..
Those who are willing to come to any foreign country just do PPP calculation in your current india and future foreign package.PPP= purchasing power parity for ex: if one's future company in sweden giving net salary 30000 SEK (after tax)permonth but he/she getting in India 80k per month net salary (after tax) both are equal life standard (big metro indian cities ) 😂 but i dont think we will get peaceful /calmness atmosphere here in India and on the other side i dont think getting 30000 sek also can manage a family with kid in sweden but with 80k in india can manage
As a general rule, you can no longer come to europe to make money. because after pandemic and war in ukraine, living expenses are out of control, even in germany. You come to europe to have a peaceful life. To earn in europe and take your money back to india, you would have to live here for 15 to 20 years. It makes sense to do this if you are starting from scratch in India.
if you dont know swedish and dont work in IT. Then you wont be able to pay tuition fees thro earning. Without swedish, you wont get a job that pays decent. If you dont know swedish and dont work in IT you wont earn enough.
You don't belong here....better learn some communication skills....he clearly mentions that he didn't have servants and was raised such....he is only giving information so that people can better decide but you seem to be having very poor comprehension skills
I have heard horror stories about student visa processing time. Can anyone tell how long it takes approximately from "real experience"? I am worried the course may even start before getting the visa though i have already applied.
Without swedish language, we will not get job in any field.. Now a days IT field also required swedish. Better select English speaking countries Too much visa rejection last year New salary demand & permanent job contract required for work permit Think twice, welcome 🌷
Western countries main aise hi rehta mere bhai. Is main ko anokha nahi hai. Agar language ki baat kare tho agar tum madras ja rahe ho aur tumhe Tamil nahi aati tho log bhi itna importance nahi denge similarly agar tum Germany Swedan, France ya Spain joage language seekh ke hi jana chahiye warna India main hi khush raho.
Hi Ashutosh, I am living in Göteborg. I have been following you since some time. I had a question related to my job. I hope you would kind enough to reply. It has been 1 year since i am with this company and Due to lack of work I feel i may be terminated. In the employent comtract it is written that the mutual notice period os 3 months. So If I am terminated will serve 3 months or will I be terminated without serving notice period. ?
Dont know how your notice is 3 months. In EU the senior guys who have stayed for more than 8 years is 3 months notice. For 5 year guys the notice is 2 years. For below 5 years notice is 1 month.
My name in nationality id and passport was Rampatruni sunilkumar reddy And other documents(education,or birth certificate ) it was Rampatruni sunil kumar reddy Where Rampatruni was surname and Sunilkumar reddy was given name I mean the name was same but only a small space between as you can see sunil and kumar in other documnets. Could please resolve this issue is this fine or need any other ???
Mera maksad tha sirf beti ki better education. Par ab socha hai India hi reh jaun... bcz parents yahin hain... and international schools mein education thik hai India mein. And saving wise same hi tha. Yahan pe bhi.
I realised it long back that Sweden is not for me inflation is one thing just calculate amount of money spent on travel to India. Europe has lost 15 yrs of growth and people have newly become poor😂. Paleiase babuna jama seithi rahani India re salary badhilani .
After watching your full video what I concluded that you are coming back to India? Or no you are super human thats why you can live there but not othera
You should watch the video again then. I don't fantasize things like other youtubers that you should come here life is very easy very beautiful... I spoke about that situation where I was in and I have never spoke about things won't get better. So avoid watching my videos if you always want to rosy picture . And also clearly mentioned that if both are working then it's good. With one person's income you can't lead a very luxurious life
Imagine.. @roamwithashutosh Ashitosh... aapke videos dekhte hue ad aati hai - "For not going empty handed last minute - Blinkit. India's last minute app." And then lagta hai kya comfort hai yahan pe.
If you these many problems then you should come back to India 🇮🇳 instead of cribbing . You cant get everything everywhere. Anywhere you go around the world , you ll have culture shock.
It's not about cribbing. I get many messages that whether we should move or not during this time when inflation is high and they are getting help from it.
@@roamwithashutosh I m following you since last 7 to 8 months...my husband got job in Gothenburg and we will move there NXT month but apki video se to tnshn hogae mujhe😔
As Ashitosh has said it depends on how comfortable you used to live and what kind of person you are as well...if you are not very social and live a basic life in India...Sweden is not a bad option
@@zishanshaikh1751 sorry to say Scandinavian countries are best for quality of life work life balance and for social benifits thay are successful welfare state only problem is child protection agencies thay can take away Ur kids with out information its is very painful for parents kidnapping n stealing children 😭 Sweden/ Norway.
