Hi - you explained this really well but it's not working for me because I don't have a diagnosticreports folder. I don't see any items the same as the ones you are showing. There are a lot of items labeled critlog-2023 etc.. in my logs folder. Could that be the ones I have to put in a new old folder? I'm using an iMac with OS 12.6.7. It never shuts down unexpectedly - it just shows that message every time I start it.
It did not work for me. Still getting it. In addition there is a notification "Background Items Added. Software from Mykola Grymalyuk added items that can run in the background.."
You are providing a real public service-whoever you are. I repeatedly got the error message you discuss. I spoke to two supervisors at Apple after initially calling Apple. They tried very hard to fix the problem but could not. I then met with someone at the “Genius Bar” in a local store and it was then suggested that I remove everything from my computer and then do a reinstall and Apple would do this. I was resistant to this and mentioned your solution and I did this in store-I was scared to do it at home by myself! It worked. This bug is not the worst thing in the world to have but I very much appreciated your solution. Much thanks!
This helped a lot I thought my pc was gonna take a dump on me by crashing u till you said it was just a bug probably due to to much Logs clogging up the computer
I've had this bug for months. Alas, this did not fix it for me. When I restart, the message still comes up and when I reopen the folder, it's empty except for the subfolders.
Hello Mr. Macintosh, i from Indonesia. Do you wanna help me, make video “how to downgrade MacOS Monterey to Mojave” i hope you read this comment and reply. Thankyou 🙏🏻
Hello Gagas! I've got you covered ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ae_Vm39dxrA.html In the video I am downgrading to BIg Sur but just use Mojave instead 👍
Mine doesn’t even let me do anything the keyboard doesn’t work and the apple menu doesn’t show it’s like everything gets disabled unless I run it on safeboot
This is the one and only hack! Thank you so much for this solution! I pressed the powerbutton of my mac to turn it off (to quick i suppose) a few days before and since then the issue occured. All the other hacks with press keys and what ever didn't help. You made it!
My screen went black. A message popped up. I tried to take a photo with my phone but it disappeared before I could do so. It didn’t look anything like any meaaage I’ve previously had from apple. It was a black box with white writing. Mentioned an error. Some of the text was in English and some was in either Japanese or Chinese. Then the screen came back up but the bottom menu bar was faded to about 10% visibility at which point I shut down the computer. Could this be a virus? Or is this a standard thing I’ve just not encountered before?
My system shut itself down or black screen, and sometimes I'll have to try different type of command before it comes on again and when it does this error message keeps popping up I don't know if the two problems are fixable and how
Thank you sir! This just started happening a couple of days ago and I tried all other solutions. yours was the only one that worked and saved my sanity!!!!!
Hats off to you-so clearly explained in such a simple, easy to follow way and it worked! Mr. Macintosh, you have my gratitude-may you live long and continue to do good.
stop searching through google this video is the best! don't buy repair shit or anything start at 0:43 is the best solution my error message disappeared after reboot i spent hours doing everything but with this simple solution it was fixed! Thanks mate!
Found a simpler solution. Yay! Log into your Mac as an administrator. It will give you the option to read the log. Read it. You are done. The message went away for me.
Hello Mr Mac Have a happy new Christmas & also new year for 2023. question dose 13.2 work with 0.5.3 ? I'm back at Big Sur for the moment I need a rest from reinstalling the venture
Thank you Professor Jack, Same to you! For 13.2 it does work with 0.5.3, but be sure to check out my last OCLP 0.5.3 update video for the warning about the 13.2 Rapid security response updates. If you have one of the affected models you will need to turn the feature off.
I get this issue as when I use my MacPro 2013 with Ventura open core patcher , if the Mac goes to sleep the Mac won't respond so I have to force the system shutdown , do we know if there is a fix for this ?
Thanks for all your help in getting my old macbook to macOS Monterey.....i tried upgrading to ventura (it has completed the installation) and then the mouse and keyboard seems not to be responding....Can you kindly please provide me with your advise to resolve this....Your swift response to my comments would be highly appreciated.....thanks
Hello there I just wanna say this fixed the issue i was having with mine. Every time the message appeared when turn on and also the top bar was not showing and even the keyboard stopped working. For me to manage to do what you said i had to first press together : ( Cmd+Shift+Q ) to clear it temporarily so that i could type. I was very annoyed that every time i logged off or shut down it was back again. After I did what you said on this video and restarting.... Its all working fine and the bug is LONG gone! IM SO GLAD, THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!! 💕💕💕
It doesn't work for me :( I seem to have this problem every time I do an update on my mac. I had this problem in december and then the problem was the sleep wake failure file that had to be deleted. Now i can't find that file in the diagnostic reports.. So my problem is not fixed, not even by making a new folder and doing exactly what you did
I'm seeing a similar type pop-up but it say something like, "Are you sure you want to log out?" If I have stepped away from the computer and miss the pop-up, it logs me out completely and does not open the windows that were open when it closed. Of note, I never had this problem until my entire computer was erased in the process of upgrading to Monterey in attempts to use the Microsoft 365 Office apps.
I have been having the issue ever since I upgraded to Mac OS Ventura. Can someone how I can explain where I can find the the name of the application that is causing the problem in the log file?
My system shut itself down or black screen, and sometimes I'll have to try different type of command before it comes on again and when it does this error message keeps popping up I don't know if the two problems are fixable and how
Bro! You the man! Just setup my new hack. Intel 13900k, aorus master z790, aorus master 6900xt, 1 2tb nvme, 2 4tb nvme, 1 1tb nvme, thunderbolt 3 titan ridge! Running flawlessly! This was the last thing I needed to fix! Even got my old firewire 002 bla modded rack to work with 2 adapters and manually installing drivers! You're videos are very helpful. You earned my sub!
Thank you very much for the usual support. This guide helped me to identify the issue (but unfortunately not solve it). In any case you saved me hours and hours of research. Thanks
I wasted a couple of perfectly fine hours of my life trying various things unsuccessfully to get rid of this error. Your video was the first solution that worked. Many thanks!
I would ilke to just thank you since you saved me from this terrible issue. Over the one week in every starting of Mac I’ve been striving to solve it and it worked…thanks a lot
Brilliant video ! Thank you so much. That problem was costing me so much time. Couldn't access folders, couldn't see the bar menu up top. This solved it! Briliant!!!
