I have to admit i'm shocked at how accepting the audience was. Usually these shows have audiences that mock the guests for what they are wearing, including children. I've seen shows where a 13 year old kid will be up on stage looking "freaky" and the whole audience boos, calls them a freak, laughs at them. Grown-ass adults mocking literal children. --- Anyway, nice to see something different with this audience.
It's August 25th 2023 and it's funny to watch thos from back in the day, it wasn't prevalent back then,it's more accepted now,but i have alt friends who get hassled even nowadays, we should all be free to be our authentic selves, I was a(goth) punk rocker all through the 80's,my hair was purple not long ago, kept my piercings. Life's short so live it the way it makes you happiest(as long as you're not hurting anyone with violence).
Thanks for adding this, I recorded this on a vhs when it aired and I’d watch this episode all the time because it was my all time favorite. I even remember the things they said and their names 😂. I was a 90’s “freak” too when this came out.
Me too! I was a teen in the 90s and one of the only punky goths in my city.. when she said how many would point and yell freak was the standard back then.. I moved to a bigger city next door and that was much rarer to happen ..I was bullied for years in my hometown
I especially love the guy in yellow (although I don't appreciate his earlobes) and his girlfriend was following gyaru fashion? She's very beautiful too.
The most kind, caring and acceptable persons I met as a teenager were teenagers/young adults who were into goth, punk, heavy metal etc. I wasn’t any specific style, but musically it was either pop or rock or punk and they litterally gave a f*** about that or how I looked. I was accepted. I wasn’t bullied like I was from average “normal” teenagers. I felt very free and welcome. Sure there was “rotten fruit” who might have had a bad influence on other teenagers, but they are in every group/society.
OH SHIT! I HAD THE SAME HAIRSTYLE COLOR AND CUT AS BRIDGET BACK IN THE 90S ! MY BANGS WERE HALF THE LENGTH AND I LOVED MY LOOK! THEY GUYS AT MY JOB WERE VERY INTIMIDATED..THEY NICKNAMED ME CARE BEAR!
A lot of the guests would be in their late 40s and early 50s now. I'd love to know if they still at least embody some of this fashion now, cause that'd be awesome. I understand keeping your hair color like that and putting on really chain-heavy clothing like that is a huge pain/a lot of upkeep but still.
The little brother's and sister's shouldn't worry about their older brother or sister what they should be worried about is their well-being, If you truly care about your older brother or sister sit your older brother and sister down and TELL THEM HOW MUCH THEY MEAN TO YOU AS AN OLDER BROTHER OR SISTER AND THE WAY THAT THEY LOOK (GOTHIC) YOU DON'T WANT THEM TO GET HURT OR WORSE.
I wish the people who were on these shows would come in the comments sections and talk about it or make their own videos and talk about it. I always wanted to know what really went on behind the scenes at these talk shows and what happened after people went on them.
What??? They all look sooooo different from each other. You think the girl in pleather holding the other girl's chain has "exactly the same style" as the guy in the tall go-go boots? You called them all "gothic" and they are absolutely not all gothic. I don't think you know what that word means. --- I'm guessing you just came here to trash people without making any reasonable argument for your claim.
