I have a couple of “charms” on my work tote bag. you can tell when this trend happens organically because it looks effortless and cool as opposed to adding charms just to add them.
In my mind I thought this was a trend for younger folks, but some of your ideas, Autumn, have piqued my interest and this 61 year old gal is going to experiment! Thank you for this inspiring, encouraging take! 💕
Great tips. I usually don’t like too much stuff hanging of my bag, lately though I’ve been hanging my earphones off because I bought a small pouch from Portland leather goods and then my keys 😂, my keys sometimes are inside but I got a new bag for summer and they hang outside on it. I just need a third item to balance now . But you have some cool charms, I usually don’t see charms I really like,I do like how you’ve paired your items though. Looking forward to next week’s video ❤
Ah, I'm reminded of the charm bracelet/charm necklace trend from the mid-80s when I was a kid. Loved those days. I appreciate you pointing out some color combo ideas as well as diving into this trend. Some folks have some... interesting... combo ideas.
I love it Autumn…you are so creative and talented. So happy you put your artistic gifts on you tube instead of teaching kids. You put a lot into your new business and it shows. I’ve been trying to embellish a few of my bags without them becoming overbearing. You go girl.❤
I have a C charm that my car key is attached to and it’s so hugely functional and also adorable. I never ever ever look for my keys, they are on my bag unless they are in the ignition. More charms might make it less functional but I’ve added one of the coach charms intended for jewelry to my c charm and I love it and may add more
As usual, you always have method to your madness. I love how your artist perspective gives balance, depth, and symmetry. I, too, am minimalist, but you gave me inspiration to step outside my box without the look being too overboard for my style.
Bag charms are cute. Do you have a designated video about your bag straps and chains and what you use to attach hard to connect charms that are not necessarily bag charms? I’ve seen your video converting a Prada bucket pouch and the useful accessories you used were head turners. I didn’t know a few of those existed! It’d be interesting and helpful if you showed us your accessory hacks. Thanks!
You are truly an artist! I love the way you combine these charms. I have the dark lime borough bag. I immediately ordered the dragonfruit tea rose charm as soon as I saw it on your bag! The only bag I took on vacation was the chalk Cassie. I changed the straps and charms and scarves to change the look each day.
I went to high school in the early 80’s 😮 and we did this then but bag charms really didn’t exist so we did it with keychains. Lots and lots of keychains. We were all clanking our way down the halls 😂
This was such a great and fun video! Ive always been a minimalist when it comes my handbags but seeing these examples are giving me lots of ideas. Can’t wait to see the charm collection.
This was very helpful. I like the look of multiple charms that look like they weren’t planned out but really are. I think you gave great tips to do that.
I loved this video! Your charms are amazing! The sea creatures theme was incredible. I bought a bag charm from you and used it last week. Can’t wait for your collection video!
I can remember having a keychain in middle school that I just kept adding keychains to until it was its own entity. It was HUGE. 😂 I blame that for my current love of bag charms. Love the video!
I'm a huge bag charmer embellisher (hereby now known as BCE)! I loved your pairings and your color choices are spectacular! Thanks for the great ideas, Autumn and I hope you show us more charms actually on the bags in next week's video, as you did some in this one!❤🎉❤
Can't believe at my age, I'm on trend! I love a couple of bag charms but I often use key rings and other charms. Can't wait for the bag charm video! I don't put anything heavy on my bags tho.
Love this Autumn! Great suggestions and eye candy for examples. I recently started experimenting & love the personalization possibilities. Looking forward to seeing your whole collection.
What an incredible, insightful, and just overall “happy” video by Autumn yet again! 😊 Houston misses you gorgeous! While attending interior design school, I learned the power of odd numbers when designing layouts, or accessorizing any specific room. So glad to see this rule of thumb carries over to all areas of design. While celebrating Pride in June with several of my friends, I was the designated person to jump on this trend and accessorize all of our bags while out and about for the festivities. I chose to go maxsmalist with an asymmetrical side of each bag, having five charms and the other side of the bag having three, lol! 😂 Keep in mind, I even used hand sanitizer, bottle openers, and various rainbow colored tchotchkes, as actual bag charms, lol! We as a group never received more compliments in all the years of celebrating, lol! Take care and love all your videos! Off to watch Winnie’s video now!
I’m usually not a bag charm person but I am really starting to think I should be. 😂 I really like these more minimal combinations. Can’t wait to see your collection video.
Hey 👋🏼 Autumn thanks for putting some of those bag charm pairings together. I never would’ve come up with such creative ideas. But I am very inspired now 🤩 PS. Love your earrings 🩶
I saved my charms from the last time this trend was popular. I’ll definitely have to buy some more because today’s trend appears to require more than one or two charms.
i love accessorizing my bags but not too much that it could pose as a danger to other people when i commute so i usually stick to softer smooth-edged items 😊
Thanks, Autumn, interesting video. I’m not crazy about tons of bag charms. I used to like one pretty charm, but now I love my bags too much to add charms. I do, however, like my coach brass C, but it’s a bit heavy so I don’t use it often.
"Most luxurious life within your budget"...perfect line as my budget is limited...thanks to my husband😒. I've personalized my bags with charms for years.
Bag charm collection video...yay!!! Maximalist trend, no thanks, not for me. I like bag charms and I have a lot of them, but one at a time is enough for me. I do like the examples you showed though. I don’t have an artistic eye like you do, so I know if I tried, it’d be a hot mess. Very interesting topic, Autumn❤️
I hope this video reach some viewers "Listen UP" You are doing it wrong people! Some of yal look like you and your bag came from a fire sell, snatched some of your children stuff animals , rob the arcade machine for a plush toy STOP IT . This was a Master class to do it right! To each it's own not today when your 5 thousand $ bag look homeless with all that stuff hanging from it.🤣
