I've always liked the chromatic movement in this song. When arranging songs in BIAB, I try to find songs with interesting harmony that work with the melody within the limitations of the software. The point of this is to put something out there for musicians to familiarize themselves with the changes for practice, to learn the melody and solo over. Nothing can replace real musicians for a live performance.
Ironically, what made me think of it today was the climate. The metaphor of it being sung by a selfish humanity to a bewildered Earth.
