I completely agree Nikki. Being a makeup artist is an incredibly gruelling and incredibly exhausting career. It’s SO difficult to do it with young kids too. No one ever sees that side of it but I couldn’t agree more.
Do you ever go to the antique flea market in San Juan Batista? It’s on the 1st Sunday in August every year. (At least it used to be when I lived in CA! ) it’s huge!!

Ah Nikki! I’ve been watching from the early days of your channel and you are such a delight. You present your knowledge with such grace and charm. We recently started homeschooling our kids and we love it. Love seeing successful and creative homeschoolers out in the world. Edit to add my 7-year-old is a Capricorn and I’m so gonna call him the Sour Patch kid from now on- it’s too accurate. Adding: have you guys been to the Zimmerman car museum in El Segundo? You can sit in all the old cars and on Sundays the have the cutest volunteers that will drive you around. There’s also an ice cream shop inside. Highly recommend! Was just there will my family and everyone loved it.

The only time I have heard "4 on the floor" was from my best friends mom. It meant when my friend had a boy over in her room, the door had to be open and both people had to have their feet on the floor, so 4 (feet) on the floor.

You are a beautiful, what I call my-Self, Hinze-57, Hispanic is a beautiful culture why I moved to Mexico and have adored "Mexicans" (no they do not call themselves "Hispanic", they are PROUD to be of the Mexican culture and I love love love them! It is the US who has labeled Mexicans as "Hispanic" thinking "politically correct" I say screw the US and its politics). Be Mexican and be proud! I moved to Mexico at the age of 40 and I have lived 65 years living here in Mexico for over 24 years left the US never looked back, and I have tons of tattoo's including on both boobs and I have zero regrets, I love them all!

Wow we are super similar. I lived my entire life being told & believing that I was a Sagittarius, right on the cusp. (My bday is December 21st.) Come to find out last year during my first birth chart reading, that I am actually a freaking Capricorn!! I guess it has to do with my birth time. Oh my gosh! Where do I start? I could listen to you all day. First of all I love your heart. I too am in the same industry where our clients really do tell us their heart and soul, and sometimes, depending on the day, it can be so hard. We try so hard to be evertything to them. I can’t tell you over the 44 years that I’ve done hair, that I’ve wanted to go home and pull the covers over my head. I use to work at least 10 hours a day with out a break until one day , I went home and cried and cried. I was so tired, and emotionally drained, I had to call 25% of my clientele and refer them on. It was hard. I understand u. A therapist once told me, you really need to take time for your self each week. Do something you love Nikki for you. I love that u and Mitch have an incredible relationship and friendship. I watched him do your makeup today also and laughed my a$$ off. I have also heard him do a voice over on one of your videos. It was hilarious. I can’t believe he knows all the language. So sweet. You are so talented. Have a joyful life. Do what you heart desires. I can say, if I was going to do anything any different, I would have had kids. They add so many other layers of life compared to just working . Anyway, stay strong, and ignore mean people. It’s beautiful, loud and obnoxious. I tell my husband that’s why we got married. If he sells the car then he may as well sell me too!

I realize I’m super late watching this Q&A but I can’t help but comment on the fact that your appreciation of older movies/films is so refreshing, I’m nearly 40 but I am all about some Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd! And having older parents, compared to most my age, is the reason I will always love watching Old Humphrey Bogart films so hearing you mention that made my heart feel warm and fuzzy!
