After deciphering the cryptic messages in each trailer using the key given, you get the following messages. UPDATE #2: The latest teaser "Dirty: Part Two" revealed a cipher that translates to "Behold Hanbi." After conducting some limited research, it appears that Hanbi is a demonic deity from ancient Mesopotamian mythology. Based on this information, it seems likely that the antagonist in the upcoming film does not follow any particular religious belief, but instead embraces the concept of evil across various religions, from Catholicism to mythology. UPDATE Sweet: Part Two, "Hell Awaits" Teaser #3: "Stood Upon the Sand of the Sea". A reference to Revelations 13:1. Which reads, "And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy." Teaser #2: "Hail Satan" is very on-the-nose, but gives insight into the occult themes in this movie. Teaser #1: "ESGLO" This one was tricky, but I believe it's scrambled. The true translation, in my opinion, is "SEGOL". A Segol is a Hebrew diacritical mark in the form of three dots, forming an upside-down triangle. Diacritical marks are throughout the cipher, and an upside-down triangle is prominent in the film's imagery. I'm working on the cipher on the wall in this trailer now. I will give an update once I'm finished. Looking forward to this upcoming Nic Cage film! The marketing has been brilliant.
I don’t wanna see a single bit of advertisement after this. They’ve shown me everything I need to see and now I just want to watch the whole movie in theaters
This, THIS is how you do a trailer, build intrigue, don't spoil anything, give a good idea of the visuals, masterful stuff at play here, good shit!!!...
I’m not a big horror fan but holy f**k that is how to do a teaser trailer bringing back the 80s/ 90s teasers of showing hardly any plot but with just a couple of jump-scares and eery atmosphere more of this please Neon studios
I've loved Maika Monroe ever since seeing her amazing performances in The Guest & It Follows. I also enjoyed her in Villains, Significant Other & Watcher.😊
The marketing is so dope for this. Making the audience participate so they have agency and a certain connection going in. The face behind the black veil requires steps to actually see it, making us feel like we are seeing something we shouldn’t be seeing.
@@snoozy777Yeah, the aspect ratio is the same in Gretel&Hansel. Anyone notice the red eyes at 01:01 ? Level up the brightness of the screen. Scary sht
Oz Perkins is gonna deliver something really creepy, memorable, and special again. Blackcoat's Daughter is one of the best horror films in decades. Loved Gretel & Hansel too even if the story wasn't amazing or anything.
Nic cage (the serial killer) could be using his victims like puppets. Using some kind of possession to control them and get them to kill. You can see in the trailer nic cage making puppets, and nic cage even described his character as a possessed Geppetto
And judging from the notes shown at 0:21, he has killed 11 people all the way from 1965 to 1992. This trailer has actually shown a lot of details of the plot.
Ooo, that is an interesting take since the other teaser has the photograph of the family with the one daughter, and the father says it's my daughter, be quiet, that is not my daughter.
The title is a line from the song 'Bang a Gong' by T. Rex...but a Hydra is also a serpent type monster from Greek mythology. The Hydra also guarded the gates to the Underworld. There's definitely a large theme of the occult and Satanism in these trailers. This is how you properly do a trailer, whet the viewer's appetite instead of giving away all the story beats. I'm very intrigued by this film, one of the few times I've genuinely felt unnerved by the trailer.
Oz Perkins has always been underrated, glad people are finally paying attention. I REALLY loved Gretal & Hansel's whole aesthetic. Blackcoat's Daughter was good too, but I just had too high of expectations with it being a well-received A24 produced movie.
Read about this movie back in 2023,thought Nicolaus Cage in a horror movie sounded interesting, totally forgot about it until this trailer showed up randomly before video,I'm even more excited than I was then.
Ok so I absolutely looooved The Blackcoats Daughter and Oz Perkins it turning out to be a fantastic director! The scene with the little girl looking out the window at the station wagon in the snow is so very reminiscent of the previously mentioned film that they could be bookends of one another! I'm very much looking forward to this! OMG I didn't even mention Mr Cage 😉
@@carlycrays2831 no I don’t think it’s secretly a sequel because Longlegs takes place in 1974. The blackcoat’s daughter takes place in modern time with cell phones
I am not a horror guy, but I’m super excited for this. The thing I love about the marketing for this movie is that nothing in these trailers evokes any sort of joy, and not to mention, you have no idea where any of these puzzle pieces fit. In a traditional trailer, you’d get an opening scene, there’s a family having fun, some backstory maybe. A slowed down, edgy version of a campy song toward the middle. *Blumhouse.* A shot of the killer. Some jokes tossed here and there. The ending is spoiled. Whatever Neon and Oz Perkins is doing, it is NOT that. Not only am I confused, the atmosphere and these still shots make for extremely harrowing imagery. I can tell this movie will do away with the one and done jumpscare and give us these long shots that are so haunting that they seem neverending. Fuck it. I haven’t seen a theatrical release of a horror film in ages, this might be the next one.
This caught my attention as an artist and a hard critic of horror films. This has it. You can feel it here, it has almost an insidious vibe mixed with the exorcist. Something about it…..
Hopefully this won't turn out like the first Insidious trailer with the red face guy that's litteraly never even seen again thought all of those awful movies. The best part of Insidious was the trailer. But this looks really good.
The mystery and hype surrounding this film is palpable!! Can’t wait. Loving these trailers- so creepy! I really hope the film lives up to my expectations.
This will probably be my favorite movie ever. It gives off even more ominous vibes than even "Sator" did - And for those of y'all who watched "Sator" - You KNOW what insanely twisted shit THAT is. C'mon, Nick. I TRUST IN YOU. Since "Color out of space" - you've been a different being. LET'S. FUCKING. GO.
