I visit the Coronado National Memorial in southeast Arizona along the Mexico border. I had never heard of this place which made it a must see. I hike the Coronado Cave trail and then drive up to the Coronado Peak to take in the view.
I'm camped at my friend Kristofer's homestead in Willcox, AZ. Check out his channel at / kristofertravels
Coronado National Memorial was created to interpret the 1540-1542 expedition of Francisco Vázquez de Coronado, which brought about the most sweeping changes in North American culture in it's history. Coronado's expedition is reported to have crossed into what is now the United States in the nearby valley.

I really love going into caves, but they are my least watched videos. LOL. I had a flashlight and my headlamp in this one so I can hopefully see where I'm going. :-)

Thanks, Bex, for a great video. With my claustrophobia, I would never see inside something like that. Coronado Peak was great, also. Always put an extra battery in your pocket (ha ha). I've had that happen, too! Thanks again. Your videos are so entertaining. I look forward to the next one.

As a lifetime Tucson resident , I just discovered this national monument about 3 years ago. You are right , it is a gem. Hope you also visited the Chiricahua National Monument while you were in the area. The Echo Canyon trail is amazing. Thank you for sharing. I really enjoy your travel videos.

Beautiful ! Your in the southwest 👍I was at Chiricahua national park last weekend super stunning you’ll have to hi there . Also near Benson Kartchner Caverns . And Bisbee Az for 12 dollars you can go in the copper mine for a tour . Safe travels Cathy O

Bex, your almost in my backyard! 😻I hike and ride Huachuca Mountain Regularly. But I go on Ft. Huachuca it is absolutely fantastic there at Garden Canyon and there is Petroglyphs to see.

I really love going into caves, but they seem to be my least watched videos. But I'm still going to keep doing them. LOL. I'm going to try and make at least one video a week throughout the summer. Once I get into a groove, I think I'll get quicker at editing, which takes me the most time. Thanks so much for hanging out with me! :-)

I saw I had a bar of power left and thought that would last for 4-5 more shots but obviously only lasted two. LOL. I don't know why I like to run batteries down all the way. I'm going to start swapping earlier.

I was told there is another good hike near the entrance called the windmill hike. I'm hoping to get back and do that hike too. Interesting place to spend a half day if you're in the area. :-)

Thanks so much for watching! I do always have my cell phone and it often says "emergency calls only" which means I can call for help if needed. Cross my fingers that is never necessary.

Oh this was great….just spent two weeks in March in the Texas Canyon near Dragoon. The Amerind Museum has a VRBO house on its campus that was fantastic. Even had our own bird pond,boulders and balanced rocks! This was a new destination for us. Loved it.moons to do. Go drive up Mt Graham over near Safford. Stunningly beautiful. The Cochise Stronghold just down the road is a must. Loved the cranes at the end and the faint image of that long train in the background. Good work.

A beautiful area but beware this area is a smuggling route for drugs and humans it can be dangerous! I know because I live nearby always travel with a group or a companion and water and a cell phone. Stay safe and enjoy southeast Arizona.

Thanks for the cave adventure Bex This old grandma has given up climbing up & down hills/etc. May I do tote a backpack sometimes & would like to ask if the buckle holding the shoulder straps in place is part of the pack or something you purchased separate? My backpack is all original. Those buckles were all part of the pack. It's a really great pack for day hikes. Holds tons of stuff.

Oh, that might be a interesting topic for a short video. I've been thinking about making a weekly short video like Peter's "two minute Tuesday" but better. Probably be "Three minute Thursday". But it would force me to keep current and I could still do longer videos that I like.
