So, some history of the Willie, it was a system that you could just add onto to make them as large (or small) as you wanted them. I have seen them up to 5 layers, which seems excessive, lol. They came in different sizes, this being the standard size. They made them larger for great lakes gear and smaller for inland trout fishing. They weren't in business long (and they went out of business around 1997), so they aren't very well known, but, for those of us who grew up near the factory (it was about a half hour from my home town) in Brookfield, WI (you know the Pride of WI has to represent) we see them now and then. When I saw it, I knew it would make the perfect thank you. Obviously a little clunky and yes, fragile these days, but awesome for displaying, and for sure retro. Thanks again, it was awesome sharing some stories and catching some fish.
Thanks for opening up the box that I sent you with the moss boss lures. Right now is a good time to put those to good use in matted grass. Little fun fun fun fact about the city that we live in. Our hometown used to be the home town of the lake Comedian jerry clower.
Just wanted to let you know that everyone sure does love ❤️ an talk about how great your fishing 🎣 an lure videos are. Please keep them coming SIR and as always keep the carpet side up my friend
On Lake Ontario everyone had bait files to house spoons for trolling for salmon. They were great to stack a lot of baits in storage all at once by stacking bait files
Those wille 4 door bait file box's run around 40 - 55 bucks on the market... Yea would not drag it around....Don't drop it ! ...there not very good my feelings anyway...there on ebay plus there not that old ..i found this for you >>> The Wille Bait File Tackle Box was designed to compactly store lures, prevent tangling, and make lure selection quick and easy. It also promoted drying, minimizing moisture and rusting of expensive tackle1. Unfortunately, they stopped making the Wille Bait File about 4 or 5 years ago2. If you happen to find one, it’s a great vintage piece for organizing your fishing gear! 🎣📦
They hold way more baits than it seems at first. They are also unwieldy. I guess when you compare them to a possum belly Umco, they are relatively slim though, lol. Post some pics of you still have it, love to see them out in the wild!
