Something I remember from this time is that during the first Trio show he had a purple Marshall amp and cabinet on stage. I don't think it went beyond the first show as he said "It wasn't his style."
This was super interesting to see. Great video as always Justin! Like you were saying about the EHX Micro synth you should do tone tutorials on the different WTLI performances.
Hey Jesse, huge fan of your channel. Were the Century G12 Neo speakers ever used by Mayer? I can’t remember if it was in a video I saw of yours. Thanks for the wonderful context, as always!
Hey Jesse ! Love your channel ! Wondering if you have an idea what gives that quacky sound in the letterman late show version of I’m gonna find another you during solo. I have a 335 myself and cannot find how to get that tone !! Thanks if you have an idea
Interesting about the delay order being the other way around. Makes me wonder about where he placed the Fuzz. Usually a fuzz like that would be at the start of the chain before any buffered pedals however it seems too far away from the board
JM3 changed my entire opinion of John Mayer. I remember those days so well, im still in love w/that album. ONce I heard him play the blues...I was baffled. I hated him before (voice still not my cup of jizz but no one can deny his playing)
Does your friend Jesse regret selling the Dumble? Im sure it’s cool to have John use it but seems like one of those items you’d regret letting go down the road. I enjoy the videos thanks for the content.
I'm not sure! He also owned one of the Dumblelands John now has as well as SSS 004 so I'm sure he misses them all, but he currently owns one of John's ODS's that he used during the Continuum Era (was part of the deal where John bought SSS 004 off of him).
