Even though I'm already technically making music, this is AMAZING! My producer left for a few days and I found myself wanting to make something completely for myself, thank you!
my biggest inspiration is juice wrld and i feel like i’m a product of his music it’s guided me in so many ways and he’s the reason i love music so much now and i’m thinking maybe i can make music and be amazing at it
thank you so much youre SO INSPIRATIONAL! I'm trying to learn production (by watching your videos) and I hope that one day i could be someone like you who writes and produce their own original songs! Thank you xole!!
"Finding your sound" was probably the most challenging part for me after learning my DAW. Great video! I think the thing that helped me the most with actually finishing songs was not sharing bits and pieces of unfinished tracks every time I made something I was excited about. There's actually science-based research that suggests that sharing goals, in this case our unfinished music, before actually completing them makes people more likely to never achieve the goals. The praise or recognition we get from sharing the unfinished stuff satisfies that "need" we have, and we tend to drop projects and move on. You're spot on with emphasizing "finishing" songs before uploading or sharing them! Also, were you trying to download that minions movie again at 1:55? Gotta stop that bro.
yes that's so true! it takes time but it's fun slowly seeing it take shape. and yeah, i honestly have a problem. i've downloaded the minions and fortnite movies close to 200 times. and i've only watched them twice... thanks for keeping me accountable bro
Wish I saw this a few years ago!! Would have cut out the years it took me to learn what a DAW is, mixing and mastering and how it’s done. I made music in Sony Vegas for a long time haha
@@xole maybe my first 2 years making music when I was 15-16. I started using bandlab when I was 17 and then I started working full time and stopped for 3 years. just started making music again at 20, when I just recently started again I got Ableton, a real mic (not my PS4 headset lol) and a focusrite and sound deadening and stuff haha. A lot of this info was gate kept and I had no clue how recording music was done but I had the passion for it so I found my own way to do it haha
this was great, thank you those books looks really helpful! idk if you could do this but, keshi is my number 1 idol and i cant play guitar yet really well is there any plug in i can use to make guitar melodies and chords like keshi since his main instrument is guitar? maybe a vid on some good ways to make digital guitar if you know any?
yeah you should check the books out! and yeah i might make a video like that. i would say the main thing is compression, which helps keep the guitar consistent throughout the mix. also i would use the plugin "fresh air" which is free! it'll brighten up your guitar 🙏🏻 hope this helps felipe!
kygo is so cool! writing lyrics for dance music is the same as writing for any other song. i would just keep practicing writing :) i think melodies are much more important than lyrics tho. check out this video on how i practice~! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TlQj5nX5nJU.html
