I love Sian Gibson's transition from a bland "Drive on" into a totally panicked plea...the timing and delivery was just perfect! And Peter Kay's genuine laughter when Kenneth suggests they go dogging and her "I think we need to have a little chat" is gold. I'm in the U.S. and only recently discovered this show thanks to a post on a general Facebook Britcom fan page. I ended up binge-watching the whole series and thoroughly enjoyed it. This deserves a place among the true classics!

@@aquacruisedb No, I was born in the U.S. but grew up watching a lot of Britcoms on PBS. "Dogging" happens here too, but I don't remember where I learned the term... I'm guessing you are not a Brit since you spelled "humor" without the spurious "u"! :)
I as a grown (?) Man was hiding behind a cushion when I saw this the first time on telly, when they stopped to talk to that bloke. The tears ran down my face.... Also tea flew out of my mouth... Brilliant, just brilliant
I love it how she's so nonchalant and deadpan about it. Partly because she didn't know what "dogging" meant, but the way she says it is truly hilarious.

I don't think I've ever laughed so hard at a comedy scene in my life. Must have seen this 20 times now, and it's funny every time. Great series, utterly brilliant scene.
I had a similar experience at my aunts 80th birthday party a few years ago. All the family sitting round the table and one of my uncles said “me and the wife went dogging a couple of weeks ago”. There was a couple of seconds silence (very rare in our family) then the whole table erupted into laughter. Except by bemused uncle and his wife (the birthday girls sister) who quickly explained that they had taken a friends dog for a walk!
When I was little my dad had a boat, He took my sister and I down the beach to go out in it. My sister (being a bit thick and excited) proclaimed to everyone she was going "Oreing " pronounced by her as "whoring" (she ment rowing). Needless to say, my Dad wasn't happy.
I had the same when my father in law asked me if i wanted to go dogging, i was stunned, i stuttered 'but i'm married to your daughter' turns out that in parts of cumbria dogging means going out with a dog to hunt rabbits.
The moment Peter Kay started laughing made me laugh so long and hard it stopped being noise and just became abdominal spasms. Absolutely slayed me that laugh.
I said that to a copper who stuck his head in sniffing for cannabis, and no passengers to distract the driver, and have you got a ticket.. he was not amused.
Absolutely Tina, when she's getting 'out o car', her face, trying to styfle a laugh is sothething to behold. What's happened to proper "situation comedies" ?
I was driving round the north side of the M25 once, when I passed a bashed-up old Ford Fiesta being driven by a slightly rough looking woman. She had a pair of black panties hanging from the rear-view mirror. Just like Kayleigh, she was getting plenty of honking horns!
Without doubt my favourite scenes in Car Share. Couldn`t stop laughing when I first watched it . Pure class comedy by a comic genius. Just the tonic to lift our spirits in these dark times.
Laughter is so infectious. I bought the sticker once and put it into the back window of my car to remind me. Always made me laugh. My wife was disgusted so I had to take it out. We are divorcing soon, so I’ll have to get another one 👿❤️😂
Rumour has it that the Ken comment near the end was unscripted and the whole episode was then re-written around the dogging comment. Peter’s laughing is so natural and infectious. Absolute comedy genius!
Yeah as well as her confused look when he starts laughing suggests that it was not part of the script and she struggles to keep a straight face after that. Brilliant!
My thanks for posting these gems! I wonder if Peter Kay realises how much influence he has had on social culture. Big Light on, curtains drawed, Tinternet, big chicken, on holidays..."that'll be me", this time next week, Etc etc etc. "Garlic bread" is only Tip of th'iceberg.
I've always had girlfriends who think they're quicker witted than me (most are) but it's always so funny when they realise on occasion that they've got something fundamentally, and badly wrong. The moment it dawns on Kayleigh and she tells John "to drive, just drive...."is priceless! Nice one.
I’ve no idea who posted this video, but please accept my thanks on behalf of the thousands and thousands of fans, myself included for making us all laugh,. The very end part where Peter is laughing is priceless, and after a long hard day at work dealing with a suicide was just the tonic I needed. Thank you

Its a part of my job that the general public don't get to see or hear about, and to come home and find this waiting for me on You tube...I laughed and laughed till the tears were rolling down my face. I don't suppose Mr Kay will ever know just how much his comic genius can touch so many people at different times and the difference it makes to their lives. Thnak you again.

Well, I've now watched every episode of the two series, and have now seen the light. It didn't take long to cut through the accents (it didn't take nowt!), and loved the ending. Cheers for the laughs, and some good tunes! :D
I drive passed that very spot where they stopped to talk to the dog walker every day. Never fails to put this scene in my thoughts. Very very funny. 🤣😂
Yep it was also the same in Yorkshire. In a very early 'Last of the Summer Wine' Compo remembers Dogging with a girl in a remote bus shelter when he were 9 years old! They precede it with now with an outdated language warning when it's rerun. That said, this is Compo so maybe it did mean what it sounds like now.
@@T0mat0S0up In saying my original comment, I actually mean this show is absolutely awful and that this is the best and most memorable gag. Apparently this was partially improvised, which says a lot really!
