The reason the prices went up that high is the banks didn't do their job and make sure people had a good amount down and good credit. When the banks will give a loan to anyone the prices will skyrocket which they have. This also goes for things like the automobile which is 50% overpriced.

I started walking 11000 steps every day many years ago, and now this is my habit. People here say "healthy legs/long walks is like getting the 2nd heart". With that, I can walk 40,000-50,000-60,000, even 70,000 steps per day, and my legs will not feel any stress after that. Isn't that cool? :)

I was at Shaw's this morning (grocery) and I had 2 giant packs of chicken. The cashier, a lady maybe around 60, asked if I clippped the digital coupon to make them $1.97/lb. I told her I sure did, and that's why I was buying the limit allowed, to get the best deal. She said many people don't bother with the digital coupons, they think they're a hassle. She pointed out that I saved over $20 just on the chicken and we agreed that was well worth 'the hassle'. I don't love such programs but I will take full advantage to save some dough when I can. Especially these days! I was shocked to hear that even with this inflation, people are too lazy to use digital coupons.

I took my family out to eat today to celebrate my MILs birthday. We spent $120 on 3 entrees, 1 al carte shrimp taco for daughter, and 3 non alcoholic drinks. The service was good so i left a 25% tip. The part that sucked was i had a question and our server was an elderly man and english was not his first language. He could not hear or understand me. I waved down 2 other employees and neither of them spoke any English at all. I think they could tell I was so irritated. I do not blame any of those employees individually but as a whole I was thinking: here we are spending $150 and I can't even communicate with the damn staff. Its pretty damn irritating 😮‍💨
