@@anthonyhowrard526 Yeah that was the name. I'm not sure if we ever actually saw his face though to establish his identity as he alwats wore that mask didn't he... He was probably from Bradford or Hull 🙂
Hey Claus - Today's show featured an Impressive selection of matches, which was most enjoyable. After all these years of playing this silly game, the most helpful habit I've developed and do my best to maintain is keeping myself out of the chatbox. It's hard on the ego, but I've acknowledged that if I was really in a position to give advice, my own scores would be much better. The other day, a heavy pulled into my sniper spot, and my hands went instinctively to type a query about his judgment in positioning his tank. But my better side won, and I reminded myself he should play his tank on his own terms, not mine. A small victory for silence.
Hi Claus, here in England in the early 70's I used to watch the wrestling on Saturday afternoons at 4 pm. We had the likes of Giant Haystacks, Big daddy, Johnny Quango, Catweasel, Mick Mc'Mannus, the Royal brothers and many, many more. Nothing like WWE but still great entertainment :)
Essential viewing watching with my Dad, never missed Saturday afternoon wrestling, with tea and crumpets. I go back to the 1960's. The commentator, Ken Walton. The were other wrestlers of note, Adrian Street, the camp glamour boy, Jackie TV Pallo, Les Kellett, Mike Marino and many more! Great days.
Here in America we had wrestling on Saturday after noon, it was called WWF at that time. We also watched the Canadian wrestling which at the time was called NWA.
When you said "Oh he's got a friend" in the first game, that friend was driving blindly into the side of a building. That made me laugh. Spotting in the second game was pretty good. heh Thanks Claus.
Live from the Grand Olympic Auditorium: Haystacks Calhoun vs Andre the Giant! A night you will long remember. Tickets on-sale at your near-by Ticketron outlet or at the Olympic Auditorium box office, 1801 S Grand Ave, Los Angeles, CA. Nah, never heard of him. 🤠 Claus, you really do dredge up blasts from the past...a giant in Oshkosh bib overalls.
Haystack was a big boy. I'm so old that I remember The Crusher and The Bruiser vs. The Vachon Brothers. It was great, as a child, watching that stuff. Putting your brother in the figure four leg lock was also fun! Lol.
ive done both things multiple times , everyone i know have also done both things multiple times, my grandmother has also done both things multiple times and she is 94 years old, i believe you may just need to get good.
In the Indianapolis and Detroit marketing area, it was Dick the Bruiser, Baron Von Raschke (with his abdominal Iron Claw hold), Randy Savage with that wonderful constipated voice, Rowdy Roddy Piper, occasional appearances by the Sheik.
So following the WN8 score of a player, is not a good way to judge how well they play. Also, a lot of us don't play random battles, so again, not including the advances and skirmishes, is a big fail for WN8 also. If you use WN8, you too are also a muppet.
I swear on console I got medal for being an SPG and having an ok game but at the end a Maus killed my last friendly tank and survived my shot. So I wasn't going to try and shotgun a maus, so I waited just a bit and then hooked it around the other side of the map and started capping knowing he could not make it back. About half way through he started capping and I laughed and laughed and took a blind shot and missed. That's when I got an award for winning by capping whilst never being spotted by the enemy team.
it was haystacks calhoun and crazy luke graham versus bobo brazil and bruno samartini. the bad guys versus the good guys. the old days of tv wrestling.
In England we had Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks on the wrestling also we had Kendo Nagasaki a masked dude who tag teamed with Bendy Bob Barrett the rock,n,roll express 😂
Great light game. Best results you can get as a light. Zero kills, zero damage and on top with xp! Feels so good. Very bad for your Wn8 rating. But you can't care about wn8 when you play lights. What has wn8 ever done for you?
Yeah, scary thought when they have a good spotter like the Manticore. They did about 8,400 damage and had 4 kills between them, which is a bit less than I thought they might have done
