Brilliant video Matilda and Mum. Thanks for taking the enormous amount of time and effort to film this and share with us. Dave will be sadly missed. He and Si are legends in the motorbike and chefs communities. I wonder if this breaks any records for the most motorbikes together in once place?
The final count of bikes was 45,000+ who showed up for the best show of respect yet. Thank you to all fellow bikers who where able to ride. Dave will be missed but will be remembered by so many people across the world.
I’ve been a biker for over 50 years ! As you can see bikers are the most compassionate, caring people ! Dave was a proper biker through and through ! Every biker that turned up today really wanted to be there ! Many like myself just couldn’t get there ! Matilda you must be very proud 👍🇬🇧
Thanks Maltilda for that amazing upload. You Poms certainly know how to pay your respects and get behind a charity. My husband still says Dave and Si are the epitome of mateship, respect and brotherly love. Daves wife also gets a gee, class act. Gone but not forgotten, Cheers from down under
Brilliant video thanks all for taking the time to do this❤ I loved watching the H/Bikers and even learned a bit about how to cook 😂 Just goes to show the respect the motorcycle community shows to one of their own 😢 RIP Dave ride free buddy 👍
Dave (Hairy Bikers) YOU ROCK. Loved your shows with Si. You guys are the best. I MET YOU AND SI AT THE DUNDEE FLOWER AND FOOD FESTIVAL. ABOUT 8 YEARS AGO.XX
Fantastic video 👍 we joined at Birmingham and carried on as far as Knutsford and before we even got into the services there was hundreds of bikes on there way back south who couldn’t go all the way to Barrow . All the people waving from the bridges was overwhelming. So proud to be a part of the ride yesterday. 🏍️
This is the best post I have seen thank you have subscribed to your channel , happy Dave day thank you Dave for your love for life during your 66 years and last 20 years on tv . Thank you for this
Love the video Matilda, thank you so much for sharing this unforgettable turn out for Dave, he was very much loved as people can see.. I come from Simon’s neck of the woods, I loved to watch the hairy bikers, I loved them both, two genuinely great guys, I will miss seeing Dave ❤️❤️

Hello me and my partner Andy were just one of the bikers on the Dave Day ride out. Total amount counted by police official was 46,134 bikers! I really enjoyed the day and cried a few times. It was very emotional arriving on Abbey Road in Barrow as lots of people lined the streets like a carnival. I'm so glad a humbled to be part of it. You might see me on our bike. I have a green hawaiian shirt on and a bright hi viz rucksack. We on our Yamaha fazer. My Andy is wearing a pink flamingo shirt 😂
Ye remember seeing u both coming down Abbey Rd. Never seen anything like it in my life and probably never will ,,like most people who witnessed it .. I'm not a biker ,but felt so proud and emotional when I seen the turn out As a proud Barrovain like DAVE Thank you all AMAZING ❤❤❤❤
Congratulations to all those bikers that turned out for Dave day ,you all done him proud ,he was not only a great cook ,but a great biker buddy to all 🎉🎉🎉
Fantastic Video Matilda It Was Great There Is A Giant Motorcycle Rally In Laconia New Hampshire This Coming Weekend I Have Been There Years Ago You Will Not See Another Rally Like That One Thank You For Posting ❤😊
As a forced retired biker, firstly I'm so proud of my family of bikers for this, secondly, I so wish I'd been able to join in. As for any future tribute rides, the biggest threat to motorcycling in general is from the currupt politicians who wish to put an end to this. Rest in peace Dave. 🙏
@matildariverwaldennews Hi Matilda. You are absolutely correct. They tested the population in 2020 with the lockdowns, and unfortunately, the majority of the population passed the test. Unless people reject the coming restrictions, motorcycling and other personal enjoyments will end. I was badly injured in a non fault crash in 2017 in which my darling wife was killed. I suffered life changing injuries. I miss the whole biking family but have many happy memories going back to 1980, when I was 17. Well done, Matilda. 👏🏻
@@npr1300A8 I’m so sorry to hear about your wife and your life changing injuries 😢 some people just love restrictions and beg for more, it’s very frustrating 😊
@matildariverwaldennews Thank you. We are living in weird times. This is our fight now. You're a young lass, your generation will be locked into a digital prison unless the majority wake up. Look after yourself. X
Wow. I got a random suggestion the other day to watch you capture Sir Nigel Gresley. That was great. I have enjoyed watching the Hairy Bikers for years and now you pop up again with Si’s ride for Dave! R.I.P Dave. A real WOW moment, as I am also a long time motorcyclist and my first big ride the day after I got my first motorbike, was like this. In a convoy of motorbikes almost from Melbourne to Phillip Island nearly 100 kilometres long! It was going to the first ever Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix at Phillip Island! That was an awesome memory for an 18 yo first timer. And now you too understand the power and community of motorcycling! I bet you would love to get your licence after seeing this!! 🏍💨😃🇦🇺
Hi Matilda. Well worth the time to watch your film event. I have ridden with some big packs of bikers before, but never that many , even when riding with the All England Hells Angels. I know the Netherland bikers can put on a good show but in respect of Dave what a turn out of bikers. Matilda ‘s Mum Thank you for standing there filming for 25 minutes Wish You Well
Well done Matilda thanks for sharing this you really caught the spirit of Dave day always brings a tear to my eye when i see all those bikers and i have ridden one for over 30 years
Excellent video and you are absolutely correct in regards to the hairy bikers having a massive impact on millions of lives as i have never heard a wrong word said about them. I ride but unfortunately i can't say i was part of the ride out but i am gutted i couldn't be part of it to show my respect to an absolute leg end who is greatly missed.
@@matildariverwaldennews You'll find that's the case with the vast majority of bike events, people are chilled out.As for seeing it for real, you'll remember being there for the rest of your life and it'll give you something to talk about down the years.
Rented SI's beautiful gate house in the NE, Wonderful home, sad I had to leave when he was selling it (I could not afford to buy it :-( ) As you can imagine the Kitchen was amazing, and the drop down table on the wall was err SPECIAL :-)
I watched the hairy bikers for years, a big inspiration to me as I love to cook, I met Si years ago at a gig there were doing up north here, two of the most loveliest people ever, thanks for sharing 🙏🙏
Reports from Cumbria police yesterday, there were 45,000+ bikes in barrow-in-furness, and the length was 16 miles (26 kilometres) long. I do hope this will be every year in memory of dave myers.
