Not always! for example the French have a reputation for being chauvinistic and nationalist, this is not the case. They hate their country and their people. I just watched a video of an American couple who chose to live in France and all the good things they think about the country are very contradicted by the French. I myself lived in France, it is the country of ethnomasochism.

One would have to be genuinely tremendously stupid to think ALL Americans are fat - but to say a high percentage are seems statistically incorrect. Do Europeans really say ALL? There`s a certain type of person who classes even correct and careful generalisations as "stereotypes" and gets upset. Can someone say Switzerland is mountainous? Or should one reply "NO! There are valleys in Switzerland too?" I would say that is silly.

When Europeans mention that 'all Americans are fat', it's definitely an exaggeration and not to be taken literally. It’s similar to saying Switzerland is mountainous; while true in a broad sense, it doesn't describe every part of Switzerland. @@explorewithkojo As a European to be perfectly honest, the main thing we see is the failure that is your education system. We do not think you're dumb. You can fix that by doing some more self-education (I recommend Thomas Sowell for that) and don't rely on school to teach your children valuable skills.

@@explorewithkojo I went to Switzerland and you can definitely say that Switzerland is mountainous. lol. As I went to Flanders in Belgium and we can really say that it is a flat region. lol. Comparing Switzerland to the Americans is like saying that 90% of the American population is obese.
